    Description

We form part of a network of windsurf, surf, and language centers in Galica, Spain. We specialize in language windsurf camps and cultural exchanges during the summer. Our camps aim to teach students a new language (English, Spanish, German) while they also learn to windsurf. We create an international environment with students and monitors from various countries. In addition to waters ports, we teach about ecology, meteorology, and caring for the environment. Our center in Playa de Limens is located on a precious beach in a small fishing community very close to the city of Vigo.

We are looking for candidates with experience working with kids, windsurfing, sailing, or cleaning.

    Help

We are searching for a person to live with us during the summer and help out for a few hours a day in preparing breakfast, cleaning the house, and maintaining our garden (3 week minimum!) Additionally if people have windsurf/surf/water sport experience or interest they can help in the beach lessons. In exchange, we will provide lodging, meals, and water sport lessons. The ideal person loves the outdoors, the ocean, and likes being around kids. We strive to create a family atmosphere between campers and counselors and want a volunteer who shares this vision. While living in our center you will meet people of various nationalities who share a love for the ocean.

    What else ...

Volunteers can spend their free time on the beach, practice windsurfing, get involved with the community, or explore the coast. The peninsula where we are located has a very rich history: Celtics; Romans; pirates; vikings; etc. There are some nearby landmarks constructed by the Celtics and the Romans. There is also a huge fishing tradition and you can observe the Galician's artisanal fishing fleets every morning and evening. From the nearest town there is a 20 minute ferry that takes you to Vigo, Galicia's biggest city. You can also take the bus or train to visit Santiago de Compostela, one of Spain's most historic towns and the destination of the famous Camino de Santiago.
