Description
Hi there!
My name is Deborah and, with my husband Daniel and 2 kids and small dog, I live on the Central Coast of NSW.
We've recently finished building our sustainable house but there's still landscaping work to finish.
We can offer your own private quarters, with an invitation to join in family life as much or as little as you wish. We both work mostly from home, we homeschool our kids and enjoy getting to the local beach or going for bush walks.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Daniel is German, I'm Aussie, we met in France and have both enjoyed travelling and living in different countries. As we generally eat together for lunch and dinner, these are perfect times to dive into stories of our travels, and discussions about cultural differences. We'll share some of our favourite foods from our own heritage and invite our guest to do the same.
Help
We are seeking people who could assist us with landscaping (paving and creating an external shade structure) and garden maintenance. We'd be working with you for much of this work.
This can be balanced with assisting with cooking shared meals if this is something you would enjoy.Languages

You'll be offered private quarters at our house with your a separate entry and an ensuite that you will be asked to maintain. We'll share family meals most days, at times opting for a simple 'make yourself a sandwich' situation.
What else ...
The Narara Ecovillage often has events ranging from craft evenings and meditation through to football (soccer) games with the village kids and working bees. Strickland State Forest is on our doorstep offering lovely walks and the local train station (25min walk) is connected to Newcastle and Sydney - both about 1.5hrs by train.
We can discuss the option to borrow a car from time to time.A little more information
