  I reactivate my profile after about two years and it is all new :)
  
  My name is Petra. With my husband Honza we live in a small village Nahoruby
  situated in a beautiful hilly countryside
  close to the river VItava, some 60 km
  south from Prague. We are 43 years old, we got together quite recently. We live in an old
  house (part of a family farm, my parents
  live in a house next to us). We have a big
  garden with a lot of vegetables and fruits.
  It is a permaculture style garden, I am very
  fond of it and always try to make it
  more fertile and productive. I grow my
  own seeds and I select resistent
  varieties. I have some knowledge and
  recettes of conserving what the garden
  gives. We eat vegetarian. Honza likes to play airsoft, bass guitar, now he's fond of reconstructing an old czech army truck/lorry/campervan. Me, apart of gardening I am fond of foreign languages, swimming (great to be warm in wetsuit out of turistic season), some art, travelling (more in the past, nowadays I only go to a sea and I love it). I like to read. We both like hiking, making fire, music, fun, good food, good time with friends. We have two little dogs. We spend quite a lot of time working on maintenance of the land belonging to my family - cleaning forests, making firewood, cutting grass, planting trees.. We are trying to keep a piece of nature healthy and good for life.
  
  Together we reconstructed an old military campervan/trailer that we have in a valley on a meadow by a stream among forests some 2 km far from the village. We are very lucky to have that piece of land and we spend quite a lot of time there as we feel free there in the middle of nature without people. And we like to share it with people:) who are friendly, open-minded, respectful... together we celebrate life, eat, drink, discuss, laugh, play, pray, dance...
  
  There's dry pine trees in our forest, so we have a lot of wood for making fire.
  
  Food we make is rather simple, but tasty, lot of fresh or conserved vegetables and fruits from own garden - depending on a season. Quite an abundance regarding garden.
  
  Your stay would be between the village and the valley 2km far. Variable depending on the situation and tasks. Can be discussed and precised.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Possibility to learn something from permaculture gardening, seeds growing, conserving/storing fruits and vegetables, making fruit wine, to exchange travel/cultural/life experiences, to practise languages. There is a female Trappist monastery nearby, liturgy partly sung in latin. Sometimes in summer we visit alternative music festivals so you could join us. Possibly friends come for visit.

  Help

  Currently we need help with building a dry stone wall on the accomodation/camping place, bringing wood out of forest, making piles of it or loading it on a trailer, painting wooden fences with oil in our garden, some gardening/kitchen tasks..
  Choise among various types of work to be done.
  Cutting grass with a scythe, raking it.
  Work and stay between the camping place and our garden and house in the village, 2 km walk (or bike).

  Accommodation

  Camping like accomodation - tent on a meadow next to a meadow where we have the campervan, roofed outside space that can be enlarged - to protect from rain - so it would create big enough space to stay comfortable under it with table, chairs... You need to have a sleeping bag, all the rest we provide.
  Cooking on fire or gas. There is equipment for cooking, eating, washing dishes, storing food as we use it ourselves. Hygiene - there is a stream, camping shower, spring of drinking water nearby and we would also bring tap water. You can make a camp fire every day.
  Possible occasional shower, washing machine, wi-fi use at our home.
  In case of extreme weather conditions we would arrange so that you are ok.
  There is a small wooden cottage in our garden with bed and table as a possibility of accomodation on some days.

  What else ...

  Possible to go swimming in the river Vltava - lake Slapy. Transport to/from Prague by public transp.1,5h. There are some nice view points over rivers nearby. In Nahoruby live my friends, they have 2 sons, they are great people, possibly we could meet together, possibly I could ask you to help in their garden some day. Our recreation/camping place is great for relax with a book and drink in a nice shadow under tree or sun listening water pass birds sing. Sometimes nature can be challenging but mostly is nice weather recently.
  
  We invite workawayers who are respectful to nature, don't leave rubbish behind them (no white toi papers shining in nature!), who are reliable, working independent and well and with active approach.
