Description
Our little family of four (presently enlarged through nephew Armin) lives in a tiny idyllic village of 10 houses in the Upper Austrian "Innviertel", about 30 kilometer from Salzburg. 10 years ago we bought our estate, a former noble seat which was built in the late middle ages. The previous owner fondly renovated the house and we feel very comfortable in our own historic four walls.
Our daughter Anna spent half a year wwoofing on Australia´s east coast - that´s why we thougt it would be a nice idea to welcome voluntary workers from all over the world in our home. You will be treated as part of the family and we´ll try our best to show you what our area has to offer (Salzburg, lakes,..).
Your work consists of different types of light work in house and garden like weeding or planting mostly along side Andrea, for which no experience is required. Because we know through own experiences that you will love to keep the contact with your family and friends at home we provide you access to our free wifi.
If you wish to come with your own car we´ve got a lot of parking space for this. Otherwise we could pick you up from any train station nearby as well as from Salzburg with prior notice. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Types of help and learning opportunities

Salzburg has been the capital of an independent state from the early 14th century until 1805. It was ruled by prince-archbishops, who became rich from the salt mines located in the south of the city. This led to the architectural gem you see today as not only materials, but also architects, were imported from Italy and other European countries. This is also the reason why, compared to other Austrian cities, sacred monuments outnumber the few secular buildings. This is how Salzburg got its nickname as "the Rome of the north". Everywhere you go in this city, you see and read about the legacy of the Archbishops.A little more information
