 - Description- September, October.. pick apples and walnuts
My name is Karolina, I live with my two adult student sons and a boyfriend. We look after 2.5 ha wonder of a land amid a very interesting landscape with intriguing modern history. Sudetenland, great topic to talk about over a campfire.
The garden, or our valley is full of trees, fruitful orchard, pond, spring and a little stream. We have a potager garden full of veggies in summertime.
We look after some sheep, chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys... There is a cat somewhere, but greatest stars are out pyrenees mountain dogs. Lovely loving darlings who guard us all and are very cuddly friendly.
I love coexisting with nature. With my creative approach I keep trying permaculture, alternative, organic and artistic ways of running things. This or that, lots of space to experiment...
I myself identify as kind of an artist, although I make living teaching English. May come handy here..
Both my sons are basically English native speakers, of Czech nationality...

 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- I teach English but also ceramics in a local community center in the spa town of Teplice/Teplitz. You can join if you want..
We are surrounded by some interesting natural sites - mountains, hills, rock formations, but also industrial and post industrial re-cultivation projects. Great topics to talk about and a great spots to take the dogs for walks to which you are most welcome.
I can also suggest some cycling or outdoor swimming nearby.
We spend summer evenings under our pergola with some good meal and chat. I love listening about life in all corners of the world.
Or, we can try some art or ceramics, if you are into this..
We are 7 km from Teplice in the North of Czechia, about 80 km from Prague. Easy connection by car, or public transport. Dresden is just over the hill, about 60km. Both cities have a lot to see!
 - Projects involving children- This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
 - Help- Any help greatly welcome.. Whatever your skill and experience, we can probably accommodate.
Gardening, harvesting, looking after animals, feeding, planting trees, preserving fruit.. Come up with your ideas too.. We are rather creative and welcome new approaches.
Over the years I learned a lot and I am happy to learn more, share and swap knowledge.
All our activities are non-profitable, for our own consumption and joy.

I am Czech, I speak and teach English. I learned German and Russian at school but that would need strong revitalization... My sons are half Scottish and speak perfect English and a bit of German.
 - Accommodation- To start with, we can provide a tent in the garden. Setting up a better situation will be a potential next project. There will be access into the house, of course, but mostly no real beds, unless one of my sons goes on some longer holiday.
We will provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner according to your needs and wishes. We are not vegetarians but I can cook greens. I like to have at least one main meal together as a social occasion with everybody present, ideally under the pergola..
