Hi,
UPDATE JUNE 2026:
At the moment I am back in The Netherlands but I'm looking for a summer job somewhere in Europe from July '26 onwards.
Nice to meet you! I’m a 32 year old Dutchie who just started with a big adventure of Workawaying fulltime in Europe by myself. I started in September 2024 and so far I have been in Portugal, Spain and Denmark.
Backpacking solo for a longer period of time was already a dream for many many years. This in combination of that
I needed a 180 degrees turnaround in my life, made me to decide to go travelling. So I quit everything back home, put my stuff in a storage box and bought a one way ticket to Portugal, where I arrived in September 2024. Since I don't have a return date yet, I have plenty of time :) At the moment my plan is to travel for one year, but I know, plans can change.
So right now, it's just me and my backpack and a dosis of travel urge.
Going without a detailed plan but just go with the flow, experience the unknown and see how everything will unfold.
A little bit more info about me; I love meeting new people, travelling , watching the sunset, walking barefoot at the beach, doing yin yoga, biking, swimming, having deep conversations, animals (I love love dogs), music (played clarinet and in orchestras for 10 years) listening to my Spotify playlist, laughing, humour, exploring new cities and drink a cup of coffee at a cute coffee cafe, nature, personal development, watching movies together, playing card games, sitting around a campfire with a bunch of other nice people and sleeping in (I'm not a morning person at all)

I like to be around animals and to take care of them. I've been a dog&cat/ housesitter for 5 years now and do that occasionally. Next to that, I grew up with a sweet labrador so I know how to take care of dogs and because of the cat sitting I also know really well ho to take care of them. Also I would love to have my own dog one day :-)
Besides that, I I did one Workaway at a very little farm in Denmark where I learned a little how to feed pigs, ducks and chickens. but I would love to learn more of how to take care of those let's say farm animals.
Since I'm a sensitive person, I feel easily the needs of animals.
I’ve a Bachelor in International Hospitality Management so I do know some stuff about that and so I do have good planning & organization skills.
You can say I am an allrounder since I like different kind of things and so did many different kind of things during my previous Workaways. Such as painting (a lot, so my painting skills are great now), general farm work, planting, gardening (became a weeding specialist), sewing, sanding, starting a vegetable garden from like scratch, cleaning and organising etc.
Lastly, I've played clarinet for more than 10 years so I can also teach you some clarinet skills lol
And I would love to learn playing the cello!

I had my own little wooden cozy room in the house which gave me the real Scandinavian vibe.
