by far the best workaway experience i could dream off. it was a blessing to be in such an inspiring environment, i absolutely loved taking up tasks helping materialize the beautiful dreams of her place Laurence shared with us. very diverse were the things we could do as volunteers, according to our abilities and skills, which is find very cool. AND the place is an absolute gem, right on the beach, with 3 wonderful dogs for company.

Mon expérience chez Luisa et la famille a été très positive. La communication avant l’arrivée était claire et rapide. À mon arrivée, j’ai été bien accueilli et tout était conforme à ce qui était décrit sur le profil. Le travail demandé était raisonnable, bien expliqué et respectait les horaires convenus. Les tâches étaient variées et intéressantes, et j’ai toujours pu poser des questions si besoin. L’ambiance était conviviale et respectueuse. J’ai apprécié les échanges, le partage culturel et l’opportunité d’apprendre de nouvelles choses. Le logement et les repas étaient très bons😋❤️ Je recommande cet hôte sans hésitation et je garderai un très bon souvenir de cette expérience. Merci encore pour l’accueil ! Vous êtes. Gyöngyvirág / Pearly stayed with us for a month in November/December 2025. Pearly is a calm and quiet person, and she is great with kids. She did tasks like cleaning our house, helped us with baking and spent time with the kids. Pearly makes amazing gingerbread houses and is a very creative person. Thank you for all your help.

JUST AMAZING!!! I stayed with Ed, Emma and the children for nine months. From the very beginning everything worked very well and easy. They are very kind and warm people and there was always a lot of fun in the house. Very fast we became a good team and everything went smoothly. They treated me very well every day and I always felt welcome and at home. Even with four children I still had a lot of free time. After busy and exciting weekends in London, it was always so nice to come back to such a calm, safe and harmonious place. It really felt like coming home. They are now a part of my life and this time will always stay in my heart. I will definitely come back to visit them many times. I can truly recommend this family!

so it's probably around 9 months since I first went to Neil and Vania's place and I've been back a few times since. we've had some great times, making and organic garden, trying to catch bee swarms, paragliding and sharing a beer or two together amongst many other things. There place is amazing, a real little hideaway, very peaceful and it was great to park up there in the van for a few weeks right next to the lake. I'm grateful for Neil and Vania's hospitality but more for their friendship, they helped me out a lot. And let's not forget Kai, what a great lad, we had lots of fun together building paper aeroplanes, I am now an expert on aerodynamics thanks to Kai's knowledge. Miss you guys, until the next time 🙏❤️

Spent an amazing month and a half teaching here with Altan. The work is very relaxed, friendly environment, with fun and curious students, many of whom soon start becoming friends. There are topics provided for each session which you're free to use, or you can just go with the flow of an organic conversation. We also had a great vibe among us teachers, and experienced countless wonders of Istanbul together. Last but not least, the accommodation is in a quiet street in the most fun part of the city, and super close to a public transport that takes you anywhere you need. I'm definitely planning on coming back!

We've been very happy to receive Chris, and we didn't know that such a nice and strong storm of laughing, chatting, playing, learning, familying would have touched us with his presence. I must admit that, especially in this moment of my life, I look for some help around the house, with my dogs, and cooking, apart from being with Balam, but after a couple of days I think I got Chris's special superpower: being with kids and reminding us adults the importance of playing and laughing together! He spent a lot of time with my son, playing football and whatever more, laughing with him, teaching him English through playing, and most of all empowering him and making him feel clearly that he's important. I loved also the very familiar way he had to be with us, it's been as if a living abroad dear friend was coming to visit us. Thank you Chris, even for your flexibility with timetable and the nice gifts you gave Balam! Hosts, you better watch out.......Santa Chris is coming to town!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a lifely, loving, humorous and authentic family! We were able to spent 11 days in December with Sara Eva, Felipe, Olivia, Aitana, Luna and their adorable dog Tronco and cat Nala. We got our own campervan, bathroom and kitchen and worked independent depending on the weather in the vegetable garden, painting or wood chopping. We really enjoyed getting to know their way of life in Sierra Morena surrounded by beautiful nature and were able to learn a lot about the local history. The whole family made us feel warmly welcome, we baked cookies together and shared the last meal together. We would recommend this family strongly and would love to come back one day:)

Julia's presence in the abbey was a great gift for us as she is shining so much around her with joy and attention ! She immediately and very openly immersed herself in the abbey's way of living and was so eager to discover more! She was always happy to help in a way or another ! Truly, it was a great time for us with Julia !

I spent two weeks at Yannic's farm in 2023 and had a very inspiring time. The place is magical in its own way. The work was varied and we had a lot of freedom to decide what we wanted to do and when. At the time I was there, a festival was being organized and I was able to help with many creative preparations. I also helped out in the garden. The community among the volunteers was warm and welcoming. Every evening we ate dinner together and together with Yannic we planned some nice things to do together most evenings after work: dinner, sauna, canoeing, campfire, etc. I never had time for another Workaway, but as a stopover on my travels, I kept coming back to this place. Just go there, I heartily recommend it!

We loved having Flora stay with us and we were so excited when we got an extra week with her. Flora fit in with us and it was lovely having her company and help around the house and yard. Flora is very respectful and kind. Flora's English is amazing and she is a very hard worker. Our dog loved having Flora as she took him for multiple walks a day and cuddled him often. Flora was a willing helper with the manual labour tasks around our property and helped move logs as we were clearing underbrush. We highly recommend Flora and hope that she comes back to Manitoba again for another stay!

Meeting and getting to know Kashkiin this autumn has been a proper blessing in both me and my son's lives. Without question, you would be hard pressed to come across a kinder, more likeable young man, not to mention he is wise way beyond his years and universally gifted; possessing a diverse range of abilities and talents. Inestimable willingness to help and a fantastic team player all around, who brings an uplifting energy to any social setting. Beyond simply recommending and touting him highly as a workawayer to any potential host, I am personally thrilled to have gained a trustworthy and treasured ally and friend for the future, be it wherever in our vast world at the proper time. Alas, I would wish him permanently in my local vicinity, but it just so happens we are both wandering souls :) In any case, Kashkiin, please know that my doors are open for you indefinitely, wherever I might be based. Looking so much forward to stay in touch and hopefully see you become the absolutely amazing dad I know you will. My little one has adored your company for good reason. Most excellent commendations as both worker and person to anyone.

I had a wonderful stay with Susanne, Rutmer, all the kids, cats, and ducks! I visited the family during the month of November while traveling through Denmark. Susanne was great at communicating beforehand and explained very well how to get to the island of Bornholm. Their accommodations were exactly as described; I stayed in their loft with my own room, kitchen, and bathroom. I work remotely, and this space was perfect to accommodate that. I was just traveling by myself, but there is plenty of room if you are traveling as a couple or with kids. I am also more introverted, and it was great for me to have my own space during my stay. For volunteer work: I helped with some tree planting, seasonal winter tasks, and making a new dining room table. Susanne and Rutmer were very easy going, and we talked together to find projects that they found helpful and I enjoyed. I felt very welcomed by their whole family, and enjoyed sharing meals together. They have many interesting travels and stories to share for 'cultural exchange' :). I also had the chance to meet some of their neighbors and friends, which was another thoughtful way to include me in their life during my stay. The island of Bornholm is beautiful, even in November. If you are interested in nature, calm and quiet, and beautiful sunsets, this is a destination for you! Thank you, Susanne and Rutmer, for such a lovely stay!

Volunteering here is something you definitely want to do. The workers & volunteers are truly kind, welcoming, and passionate about the work they do. From day one I felt supported and appreciated and it was inspiring to be apart of something so meaningful. The staff do an excellent job making everyone feel included, and there is always something to do, even in the winter months. James is a wonderful volunteer coordinator - I'm so grateful for my time here and would absolutely recommend volunteering with this org! I spent 4 short weeks at the sanctuary and could have stayed longer. I miss the monkeys already :')

Noam was my first workawayer. He turned out to be an intelligent, secure, serious and relaxed young man. He did gardening and made some excellent meals! He could improve his chess and tabletennis skills😀

Dear Suzanne It was a great pleasure having you with us. Your life experience and your independent way of working have made our everyday lives a lot easier. You rocked the cat house and the dogs really enjoyed the walks with you. We hope you come to visit us again.

I highly recommend this Workaway experience to anyone seeking a peaceful break from their travels. Lucky and Andy are exceptionally warm and welcoming hosts who made me feel at home from the moment I arrived.I was provided with a private en-suite room that's separate to their home, with access to a kitchen and living area where I could prepare meals and relax during my free time. Caring for the pets was straightforward and enjoyable. Dobby can be quite sociable depending on her mood, while Capu may join you for a short walk, depending on how lazy he is feeling on that day. Both are happy to eat two meals a day though. The work given to me involved DIY projects or garden maintenance, all of which I found quite enjoyable. Public transport is convenient, with a bus stop just a two-minute walk away, making it easy to visit nearby towns or Antigua. Also, Andy kindly took me to several local restaurants on a few occasions. Overall, I am confident that anyone staying here will have an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Best of luck to future volunteers.

Working with Roberto was an amazing experience. Not only for the work, but to hang out with a wonderful and very interesting person makes the experience even better. The place, the sunsets, the sheep, the chickens, nothing compares to Roberto´s soul. Looking forward to come back and continue the long and interesting talks and work hard for that magical place with my great friend, Roberto!

A big thank you to Venerable Hui Z. and to our coordinator Boey who organized our stay :) The monastery is a beautiful and peaceful place. It has its own life and rythm. The tasks that we had to do were very manageable and I had a lot of free time. There were a lot of activities organized for the volunteers : meditation, calligraphy, museum visit, badminton etc.. For me, staying here showed that it is possible to feel and live differently than what I am used to in Europe. In a nutshell, it is about : Giving to others, Finding the Middle Way, Focusing on my intention, Meditating through my day Thank you again, and I hope that I will be able to come back soon :)
