Hosting Loong was an absolute joy and truly one of those experiences that stays in your heart. From the very first moment, we clicked instantly, and it honestly felt like welcoming a close friend rather than just a Workawayer. Loong has such a warm, kind, and positive energy that lights up the space around him. He is incredibly motivated, enthusiastic, and always ready to help with the biggest smile. Every single day, he brought so much dedication and care into everything he did. No matter the task, he approached it with genuine interest and a wonderful can-do attitude. His help was invaluable, and having him around made daily life easier, lighter, and more fun. On a personal level, spending time with Loong was simply lovely. We had deep and meaningful talks, lots of laughter, and really special moments cooking together. He was a fantastic help in the kitchen, and seeing his joyful, appreciative reactions to my cooking was such a pleasure — it genuinely warmed my heart and made those shared meals extra special. Hosting Loong was an enriching, happy, and memorable experience. I’m incredibly grateful for the time we shared and would welcome him back anytime with open arms. Juliette was our guest at our hazelnut farm for about a week, and I was extremely pleased with the experience. Julie fue voluntaria durante un período de tres semanas, y su aporte fue sumamente valioso tanto en lo práctico como en lo humano. Colaboró activamente en tareas de pintura, mostrando compromiso, prolijidad y constancia. So much love, so much laughter, so much passion, so much eagerness to learn and improve - from the students to the management. I stayed for two and a half months at this extraordinary place, and I am so grateful. The hard work that is done by the founders, the school management, the teachers, the aunties and uncles, the drivers, and the security guards is for the best cause out there - a brighter future for the next generation. The fact that the school's focus is on the English language is so smart, since this might be the largest door opener for potential future opportunities for these wonderful kids. How volunteers are treated is exemplary. Over the whole time, they did everything to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Therefore, I believe all privileged volunteers should, next to other activities, definitely put effort into fundraising activities, since this is so easy to do and crucially needed in order to carry out this amazing work in a future-oriented and sustainable way. Asante sana! I will come back :)

Annie and Liam stayed with us in month of November. We had nice experience with them and they both helped us in evening classes. They both are very good with children and also helped us to set up Computer classes in school. We love to meet you and host you again soon.

Lauri and Becky stayed with us almost 2 weeks in December and we had a wonderful experience with both of them. They both are very good teacher and human being. They always keen to help in english maths and evening classes even in school about some social issues. They also help us to teach basic photography skills to the girls and we love to host you guys again. Good luck for both of them😇😇

Emma and Ove are some of the kindest souls I've had the pleasure of connecting with, and I'm so grateful that my abrupt change of plans allowed me to do so. They are both incredibly understanding, gentle, compassionate, and intelligent. I stayed here for 3 weeks--though I wish I could have stayed longer--and I plan on visiting again in the future. I was given a variety of tasks to choose from based on how I was feeling that day, and also had flexibility with my hours. I always felt safe and comfortable speaking with both Emma and Ove about anything, knowing how understanding and accommodating they are and how much they genuinely care about my comfort and safety. They are both very lovely to talk to and we had some really great and interesting conversations, but at the same time there was never any pressure to be social, which I really appreciated as someone who can easily get drained socially. I would say this placement suits someone who is fairly independent, as much of the work is self-directed and the accommodation is separate from the main house, so it can get lonely if you are on your own. That being said, they give very clear guidance and communication and were always more than happy to answer any questions that came up. And the ducks, chickens, and bunnies right outside your door are great company to have. It was also very easy being vegan here and my fridge and cupboards were stocked with produce and everything I needed :)

O Lúcio e a Andrea são um casal muito simpático, educado, cheios de bondade e com muito para dar. Partilharam connosco a sua casa, conhecimento agrícola, yoga e experiência de vida. They are an amazing family! I love them with all my soul. We had quality time together every day. We cooked, ate, played together, did training and excursions together. And all of those happened in a natural way, because we created everything with joy, keeping our hearts and minds open. We took care of each other. At the end, I felt that I was part of their family. They are really nice, lovely and open-minded people. We had great discussions and amazing activities. The kids are wonders. I love them like my little siblings. They all made my first experience as a workawayer unforgettable. I am so grateful for everything. Thank you that you exist. I love and appreciate you! We will meet again for sure.❤️☀️💚

I stayed with Ralph , Andrea and Maya for 2 months and I had a wonderful time. They were always kind and helpful, and I learned a lot of very useful things like chopping the wood with an axe and with the chainsaw. The house is located in the middle of a really beautiful forest and I was also able to take some lovely nature walks or go with the bike. Thanks for evrything, Ralph and Andrea and good luck Giacomo

Pure, wild, beautiful, enriching. Sharing, caring and inspiring Baba and Iason. So peaceful, especially in springtime. My favorite thing was following Baba around the garden, picking wild herbs she'd turn into creative, delicious meals for the group and learning about their specific properties. And generally hearing about Baba and Iason's experience of bringing the land back to life. I could write so much about this place but a lot has already been said in the previous comments and a lot could never be captured with words. So I'll make it short: Thank you for this experience and I hope to visit you again one day and to see all the amazing progress. :)

by far the best workaway experience i could dream off. it was a blessing to be in such an inspiring environment, i absolutely loved taking up tasks helping materialize the beautiful dreams of her place Laurence shared with us. very diverse were the things we could do as volunteers, according to our abilities and skills, which is find very cool. AND the place is an absolute gem, right on the beach, with 3 wonderful dogs for company.

Mon expérience chez Luisa et la famille a été très positive. La communication avant l’arrivée était claire et rapide. À mon arrivée, j’ai été bien accueilli et tout était conforme à ce qui était décrit sur le profil. Le travail demandé était raisonnable, bien expliqué et respectait les horaires convenus. Les tâches étaient variées et intéressantes, et j’ai toujours pu poser des questions si besoin. L’ambiance était conviviale et respectueuse. J’ai apprécié les échanges, le partage culturel et l’opportunité d’apprendre de nouvelles choses. Gyöngyvirág / Pearly stayed with us for a month in November/December 2025. Pearly is a calm and quiet person, and she is great with kids. She did tasks like cleaning our house, helped us with baking and spent time with the kids. Pearly makes amazing gingerbread houses and is a very creative person. Thank you for all your help.

JUST AMAZING!!! I stayed with Ed, Emma and the children for nine months. From the very beginning everything worked very well and easy. They are very kind and warm people and there was always a lot of fun in the house. Very fast we became a good team and everything went smoothly. They treated me very well every day and I always felt welcome and at home. Even with four children I still had a lot of free time. After busy and exciting weekends in London, it was always so nice to come back to such a calm, safe and harmonious place. It really felt like coming home. They are now a part of my life and this time will always stay in my heart. I will definitely come back to visit them many times. I can truly recommend this family!

so it's probably around 9 months since I first went to Neil and Vania's place and I've been back a few times since. we've had some great times, making and organic garden, trying to catch bee swarms, paragliding and sharing a beer or two together amongst many other things. There place is amazing, a real little hideaway, very peaceful and it was great to park up there in the van for a few weeks right next to the lake. I'm grateful for Neil and Vania's hospitality but more for their friendship, they helped me out a lot. And let's not forget Kai, what a great lad, we had lots of fun together building paper aeroplanes, I am now an expert on aerodynamics thanks to Kai's knowledge. Miss you guys, until the next time 🙏❤️

Spent an amazing month and a half teaching here with Altan. The work is very relaxed, friendly environment, with fun and curious students, many of whom soon start becoming friends. There are topics provided for each session which you're free to use, or you can just go with the flow of an organic conversation. We also had a great vibe among us teachers, and experienced countless wonders of Istanbul together. Last but not least, the accommodation is in a quiet street in the most fun part of the city, and super close to a public transport that takes you anywhere you need. I'm definitely planning on coming back!

We've been very happy to receive Chris, and we didn't know that such a nice and strong storm of laughing, chatting, playing, learning, familying would have touched us with his presence. I must admit that, especially in this moment of my life, I look for some help around the house, with my dogs, and cooking, apart from being with Balam, but after a couple of days I think I got Chris's special superpower: being with kids and reminding us adults the importance of playing and laughing together! He spent a lot of time with my son, playing football and whatever more, laughing with him, teaching him English through playing, and most of all empowering him and making him feel clearly that he's important. I loved also the very familiar way he had to be with us, it's been as if a living abroad dear friend was coming to visit us. Thank you Chris, even for your flexibility with timetable and the nice gifts you gave Balam! Hosts, you better watch out.......Santa Chris is coming to town!!!!!!!!!!!!
