Recomiendo sinceramente este lugar tan encantador y sencillo en los alrededores de Pucón, así como a su dueña, Cecilia. Pasar una semana allí fue para mí una experiencia muy bonita e interesante, sobre todo porque es un lugar donde realmente se puede desconectar y encontrar tranquilidad. Es un sitio precioso, muy cerca de parques nacionales, lagos y otros lugares increíbles, como el Parque Nacional Villarrica. Desde allí se pueden ver las montañas al fondo, y el paisaje es simplemente espectacular. Está alejado del pueblo y de la ciudad, así que no es un lugar para personas que buscan vida nocturna o ambiente urbano. Pero si alguien necesita descansar, leer un libro, tocar un instrumento, o simplemente sentarse junto a un río casi privado donde casi nadie pasa, este es el lugar perfecto. Hay un pequeño arroyo al lado de la casa donde se puede meditar, sentarse en silencio e incluso bañarse. Cecilia es muy amable. Aunque yo no hablo mucho español y ella no habla inglés, logramos comunicarnos de alguna manera y siempre fue una experiencia positiva. Me gustó mucho que en la cabaña hay una estufa a leña. Me encanta el fuego y cocinar comida en fuego real, así que eso fue algo especial para mí. La cabaña es pequeña pero limpia. Puedes tener tu propia cama o también montar tu propia tienda de campaña. Si alguien quiere aprender sobre plantas, cómo sembrar semillas o conocer diferentes especies, este es un lugar ideal. Cecilia explica todo con paciencia y conocimiento. El trabajo no es demasiado pesado. Es físico, pero no excesivo y tampoco son demasiadas horas. Para mí eso también es una ventaja. Además, Cecilia es una excelente cocinera.

Tony was a great host and Crosby is a really sweet dog and I never met such a cuddly cat as Rosie. His place is very spacey and big and the Kotatsu was a perfect place to chill. The place is in a good location for exploring Kumamoto city, since it's not too far from the center. The only thing you should know is that you're going to spend a lot of time "alone" with the pets, because Tony is working until quite late and in my case he was also on a work trip. But the workaway is really fair, since the task is just about 2h daily

It was a wonderful experience to work and live on the ranch. You truly become part of the family and, as many others have written, the authentic food is absolutely amazing. I am very grateful for all the experiences I was able to have. I learned an incredible amount and constantly grew beyond myself. I met amazing people and was able to immerse myself in a very local and authentic Mexican way of life. José organized many activities and took us everywhere, which made the whole experience feel truly real and genuine. Thank you so much again for everything. I learned how to ride horses here and discovered my love for them. A small note for future workers: about 90% of the time only Spanish is spoken. At the beginning this was very challenging, but it also helped me learn some Spanish. So if you don’t speak any Spanish at all, you should be aware that you won’t understand a lot at first — however, everyone was always willing to help and translate. I was also working on 7/7 days, but I got so much back from the work with the animals and in generell from the family on activities, that it was no problem. I am thankful for everything and for this enrichment in my life. I will always remember this as a very special time.

We had such a fantastic two weeks staying with Eliana, Pedro, Caramelo, Chispas (aka Toothless!), Gizmo and Mincho. We were lucky enough to go on adventures in Kitty (their incredible old jeep) to swimming holes nearby and beautiful hikes in the canyon. Curití is a very cute little town and a short bus ride away from San Gil and Barichara, all of which we had so much time to explore! The views from Eliana and Pedro’s house were spectacular and the pool absolutely amazing in the heat! Eliana and Pedro were so incredibly lovely and kind, we learnt so much about Colombian history, nature and culture, as well as all the amazing types of arepas they made for us to try! We hope to be back in the future and would highly recommend a stay in this peaceful oasis ☺️

Moé, Ragen, and Surabhi are truly wonderful hosts. My children and I had an experience here that we could never have had in Tokyo. It was incredibly valuable and meaningful for all of us. We took care of ducks, geese, and a hen, and enjoyed eggs collected fresh each day. Living surrounded by nature, we experienced a different rhythm of life. When electricity was limited, we used a generator. We pumped water from the well. Living in a place where things we usually take for granted are not always available taught us so much. This experience helped us understand not only self-sufficiency, but also the unique characteristics of the local community and way of life. It was a truly unforgettable and enriching stay. We are deeply grateful.

Auguste is a lovely young mature girl. She looked after my little mate (dog) and they created a special bond. She also in between dog sitting helped with cleaning, cooking and all other domestic jobs. She was a pleasure to have around. She is welcome back any time.

Lea and Mathieu recently spent 12 days at my home. They both fitted in well and I really enjoyed their easy going company and the food they prepared. They preformed any tasks required with common sense and great attitude. I certainly wouldnt hesitate to host both again.

This was a last-minute stay and a really lovely exchange. She is very new to this kind of work and understandably cautious about getting things wrong, so clear guidance helped her feel confident. Unfortunately, café commitments meant I couldn’t work alongside her as much as I wanted to, but once she had direction she followed through well and completed the jobs asked of her, including tidying around the greenhouse and cutting back a very over grown ficus vine. She was respectful in the house, easy to host, and left everything tidy, including cleaning up after her and stripping the bed. A wonderful start to my Workaway journey, and I wish her all the best with her travels ahead.

Nicki was an absolutely incredible host — we couldn’t have asked for a warmer or more generous welcome. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home and treated us like family. She went above and beyond in every way: cooking us delicious meals using produce straight from her garden, sharing wonderful stories, and always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Nicki was full of great local knowledge and recommendations, even keeping an eye on the Mount Cook weather each day so we could plan our time off flexibly around the best conditions. She was a wealth of information about the area and genuinely cared about helping us make the most of our time there. She also went out of her way to support our future plans — helping us look into Class 2 licence training for Shane, giving us fishing rods and gear so we could try fishing in NZ, and even assisting us in securing paid work after our stay! She was incredibly kind, flexible, and thoughtful throughout our time with her. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and her big heart truly shines through in everything she does. We’re so grateful for the experience and would happily return to help again in the future if we get the chance. Nicki is a truly wonderful human being, and anyone lucky enough to stay with her will be in very good hands indeed!

a great stay! the apartment is in an excellent location- literally close to everything! I had plenty of time to explore Wellington and I had a lovely time doing this- Victoria was very flexible and had loads of great recommendations. I really feel like I had fair balance of work and free time. I enjoyed accompanying Victoria to various places such as a morning swim- lots of memories which I'm glad to have experienced. Thanks Victoria!

We stayed at Tracy's farm for 12 days and we had a really good time. For our first workaway it was a great experience. The warm welcome of Tracy made us feel at ease right away. Tracy is kind, hardworking and easygoing. Thanks to her we learn lot of things about farming, horses and New Zealand in general. We helped her with few tasks as gardening, cleaning, feeding animals, storage... We enjoy our time at the farm surrounded by animals, dogs, horses, cats and two adorable kittens. We immersed ourselves in New Zealand life, we were lucky to participate at the weekly pub quizz. It was funny. If you are near to Christchurch, we recommend you go to Tracy's home. Thanks a lot and take care !

Mariela stayed with our family through Workaway, and we are truly grateful for the time we shared. She is a warm, kind, and joyful person who always had a smile on her face and brought a positive energy to our home. She spent a lot of time playing with our daughter, and they had so much fun together. Because she has experience as a school and kindergarten teacher, her games were very creative and thoughtful. Our daughter was always laughing and excited when she was with Mariela, and as parents we really appreciated that. Mariela also helped with housework very carefully and responsibly, often doing more than we asked. Thanks to her support, our home life felt comfortable and relaxed. We also loved her cheerful spirit—sometimes singing a little or dancing for fun—which brought warmth and happiness to our days. Mariela is a wonderful guest and person, and we highly recommend her to any host family. We hope her journey continues beautifully, and we would be very happy to meet her again someday.

Merci pour cette expérience incroyable ! C'est un lieu parfait pour se ressourcer et en apprendre plus sur la culture hindouiste. Ivan est le guide idéal. J'ai passé 2 semaines exceptionnelles, dans un lieu entouré par la nature et les chiens.
