Hello Beautiful People! We are a diverse family of 3 - single mum wellbeing yoga teacher, 19 year old on her gap year off to see the world and a 5 year old free nature loving spirit…we also have 3 cats and one dog (big dog) and live in the Wild West Country side of Ireland. We are totally open minded and open spirited and are looking forward to the experience of hosting genuine workawayers, the cultural exchange and simply sharing our space and our community with you. From this spring we are looking to work our small land which at the moment is a blank canvas. There is physical tasks to be done in the gardens and small meadows - quite physical we have to remove a lot of brambles lol..that is the main job, but then we are looking to set up the back field for a vegetable/fruit/herb garden with polly tunnel and my personal goal is to do this particularly for children in the area who don’t have a garden (even though we are in the country side, not everybody has a garden to grow their own food) to be able to come and connect with nature, learning about where their food comes from and just enjoying a project to learn from in the outdoors. This is in view to make it a community garden charity project. As such its pupose is for children to learn about nature, growing your own foods, healthy eating and even foraging. So the purpose iis for children to grow and harvest edibles, but not to sell anything. As we are beginner gardeners we are also happy to learn from you and your experiences in this area. Besides the outdoor physical work, we are also happy to host if you love animals and are happy to share the house with my lively 5year old who always wants to play and our dog and cats. Our dog is very loving once he gets to know you, he is a teenager (turning 3 in august) and we would love if you can take him for walks and play. Being an animal lover is a must here. So there’s lots to choose from - if you wish you can do one thing, two things or all the things when you’re here with us ;)
If you come to stay with us, you will have your own room. We can also accommodate 2 people, if you Come as a couple or as friends. We have a bungalow style house surrounded by our garden/small meadows, right in the countryside, we have cows as neigbours and a beautiful lake you can cycle to (we also have bikes for you) We have space if you come with your camper van or car for you to park, we have a village with everything you need (including train station) that you can also reach by bike (about 20mins cycle) We are about 40mins by car to the next beautiful beach or mountains (well in Ireland, we call them hills)as well as beautiful nature parks with big lakes. If you are into exploring the city we are in the middle between Dublin and Galway City, which are two of the most awesome cities in Ireland. We are all bilingual German and English, and have a bit of French each.
I think I have covered the basics, now it’s over to you - if you love the sound of us, our place and our vision - please give us an email and we will take it from there :) lotsa love from the emerald Island xx

We are all bilingual German and English, and have a bit of French each which we are happy to share with you if you are looking for a language exchange. We would love to show you around this beautiful part of the country of Ireland with its lakes, hills, forrest and the Atlantic Ocean. In fact our area is called the Hidden Heartlands of Ireland and there are many secret beautiful places not so discovered by tourists. Co Sligo is at our doorstep if you are looking to surf or learning to surf. There is so much to do for outdoor activities in spring and summer and we are happy to show you and take you to places if you wish, but also happy to give advice if you want to explore by yourself.
