This was my first experience. I didn't know what to expect, and I have to say it was wonderful. Ken and Pak are amazing people, along with all their colleagues, always smiling and eager to teach and help these children learn a new language. They were extremely kind and helpful in everything they did. The school is wonderful, and this experience showed me how amazing it is to be able to contribute in a different country. I had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Phayao, a beautiful and authentic town. I will forever cherish this opportunity.

Paul originally came to stay for one week, but it went so well that he ended up staying for two months. He seemed to have a skill for everything we asked him to do and approached each job with real capability and care. Even when we were away, he impressed us with his dedication and reliability in getting things done. He showed great initiative and often identified and completed tasks without being asked. Paul was easy company, very easygoing, and quickly slipped into the routine of the property. A great person to have around and a big help during his time with us.

Blaise was a great help and great company for the two weeks he stayed with us. He’s quick to learn new things, communicates well, and is enthusiastic about whatever jobs need doing. He isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and always looks for things to do. Blaise made the most of his stay, practicing his English and enjoying the local area. He’s respectful, thoughtful, and easy to have around. 5 stars.

I spent two wonderful weeks in Freddie's place, sleeping in a tent under a banana tree. My tasks consisted mostly in animals feeding, barro's making (a kind of clay) and creating a murales. Freddie is a very kind - hearted person and I felt part of the family since the first moment. I reccomend it if you're looking for a quiet place and you're keen to learn new things!

We absolutely loved staying with Krishna and Laxmi on their happy farm. We were in Nepal during the protests and we couldn't have been stranded in a better place. We were treated like family and were sad when we had to leave. We will never forget Marie's first Hindu birthday celebration, Laxmi's delicious cooking, Krishna's wisdom, long days in the sun and the beautiful mountainous views carrying corn back from the fields, the calmer peaceful way of life, and the absolutely massive spiders (...which were actually pretty harmless!). It's an experience we will never forget and still remember fondly. We hope you to see you again one day, our Nepali family! ❤️

I had a really nice stay with Andrew. He was welcoming, communication was easy, and the tasks were fair and clearly explained, with plenty of free time as well. I’m grateful for the experience and would happily recommend staying with him.

Philipp stayed with me for his first workaway experience while taking a break from his career in Germany. He is personable, a great communicator, willing to take on any task requested, and pitching in to help cook and clean as well. He picked up new tasks very quickly and was efficient in the work he did. He is tidy and respectful. I had another volunteer staying at the same time and Philipp got along with him very well. He was really a joy to have around and I wish I could have hosted him longer.

The first surprise was how Nate is a Master of reorganizing. Then Nate repaired and improved the plumbing and the electricity. He cemented and painted a wall, cutted bamboo to create a small fence and replaced decorating planks of wood. He added faucets and this is a huge help for watering the garden. He also embellished a small kitchen by tiling a wall and a breakfast table. Nate has often made smart suggestions which all improved the efficacy and the comfort of the property. Everything has been done at a professional level. What else ? some house and cat sitting. Nate is a wonderful friend, always in a good mood, very patient and kind. Excellent teacher, he also generously shares all his knowledge. I have learnt a lot. He left after almost 3 months leaving his bedroom and the kitchen perfectly cleaned. The doors will be always wide opened.

I would like to say thank you for this wonderful experience. He is such a kind and generous person, and he always made me feel welcome. Because of him, I came to like Belgium even more. I truly enjoyed my time there. I hope we can meet again in Japan someday! I strongly recommend staying with him. ☺️

I spent a joyful February here, with lots of laughter every day. Fabien is very warm, funny, and open-minded. He shared the story of how he built his house, which is really impressive. He also introduced us to his friends, and we spent time playing games and sharing meals together. I also spent a week with his daughter Léa. They have a very close relationship and sometimes tease each other, which reminded me of my own relationship with my father when I was young. When my friend and I talked with Fabien, we often exchanged different ideas and perspectives, and many conversations felt quite “mind-blowing.” It was really interesting. The work was not difficult. We mainly took care of chickens and ducks, did some weeding, and helped tidy the house. The working hours were flexible and we could organize our own schedule. The food was also wonderful. We had the chance to enjoy many delicious local French dishes, and you will definitely never go hungry. Living here allowed me to experience a different and unique way of life, and it was a very special experience. I wish Fabien and Léa all the best and hope this unique and interesting lifestyle can be shared with many more people

Cem is a very nice and easygoing guy, with a great capacity for decision making. He is very organized, generous, and meticulous. He's also a great conversationalist. He volunteered at the house for two weeks, and during that time he helped me a lot with organizing the dining room, kitchen, and other spaces. He's also very talented with music and creative. I definitely recommend him because he has a very kind personality and is always willing to help. Thank you so much, Cem, for everything, and I hope you have great success with your personal projects and enjoy your trip! 🤗🤗

We spent 5 days at Juan’s place and had a great experience. We helped with different tasks such as digging a trench to pass an internet cable to the neighbour, some gardening and general help around the house. Juan and Vanessa were attentive and always took our skills and preferences into account. Gloria, Juan’s mother, is very kind and cooked delicious meals for us. We also really enjoyed meeting the neighbours and visiting their small finca full of fruit trees. Thank you again for the warm welcome!

My stay with Andrew and Karen was honestly amazing. From the moment they picked me up at the bus station we got along really well. I felt welcome right away and they treated me like part of the family from day one. We experienced so much together on the farm. Andrew taught me a lot of new skills and I also learned a lot from Karen. You can really tell that they enjoy sharing their knowledge and involving you in everything. There was never a boring moment. We went fishing, camping and surfing, cooked together, took care of the animals and worked on different things around the farm. It was a great way to really experience the local lifestyle and I learned so much during my time there. What I will miss the most though is simply the time with them. They are incredibly kind and warmhearted people and I really grew to love them. I never felt like just a Workawayer. I truly felt like part of their family. I’m so grateful for the time I spent with them and I’ll always remember it with a lot of love.

Neil was a very correct and handy man, he helped me a lot. He can handle the machines and he can work well independently. Sometimes we had problems with the communication, but one reason was, that my English is not really good. Every morning he was on time and asked me, what do do. He is a strong and a fast worker, who has his own ideas for good solutions. I can highly recommend him.

I had a wonderful time helping in the garden and some indoor projects over three weeks. Everyone was friendly, very welcoming and made me feel instantly at home, thank you for putting up with my limited French! Food was fresh and local with lots of homemade bread and pickles and cheese from the nearby laiterie. Everyday I worked with a different person on some part of the house or garden depending on who was available, maintaining or building something new. Truly a great place to disconnect, work with your hands and have a view of the alps in the distance. I hope I can return again someday, maybe when it’s a bit less rainy…

Hi! I am volunteering at Roger’s place — he is a very welcoming host who wants you to feel comfortable and is also a pretty good cook 🙃 You will have your own space for volunteers with a kitchen, bathroom, and separate bedrooms. Just behind the house, there is a mountain, and it's about a 45-minute walk to the sea (you could also take a bike). You will have plenty of time to enjoy the local way of living — the place is located on a quiet street but very near the town center. I hope you will find different ways to enjoy your stay!

It's been a pleasure to host Elizabeth in our farm in the Dolomites, we spent great moments together both working and having fun !! She has Italian origins and managed to meet some of her relatives here, and even seeing the place where her grandparents used to live !! She's been lovely with our kids and with our newborn and we hope to meet her again in Italy or in Canada !!

In the Top-3 experience with guests: Anaya and Francis were amazing guests; always smiling, willing to help, very respectful; engaged in their work, showing interest in the history of the place. I enjoyed our conversations, it was a pleasure to meet them. They were keen to learn and were always doing an extra mile to get the things well-done. I really appreciated their company. Highly recommended!
