    Description

Hello brothers and sisters! Thank you for taking the time to read about the place we call home!

Our organization is a family project that mainly functions as a wellness lodge, holistic retreat center and permaculture farm which fosters a harmonious way of living in unity with nature. As valuable aspects of our own journeys, we aim to channel transpersonal growth, education, sustainable farming, and art into a space we’ve co-created to attune to inner callings. Our sanctuary covers 30,000 square meters of earth amidst the mountainous vistas of Yunguilla Valley (just one hour away from the charming, river-side city of Cuenca, Ecuador)!

Our organization unfolds around three complementary projects:

    1. A holistic wellness Lodge

We receive guests all year round looking for a place to relax, reconnect and recharge with thei own nature

    2. A holistic retreat center

We open our center to those hosting workshops or trainings in any forms of transpersonal, creativity-promoting, self-development field. These can include:
    -Yoga & Meditation
    -Emotional Intelligence
    -Neurosciences & Corpo-sensorial discovery
    -Temazcal Ceremony
    -Ecstatic Dance
    -Bio-Construction
    -Permaculture

    3. A permaculture and Regenerative agriculture farm.

We love planting and creating a regenerative ecosystem. We are seed bank and fruit forest of about 8 acres taking care of more than 280 species of plants. We are the coordinators in the south of the seed savers aliance of Ecuador.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our organization is very much like a home with open doors, so you'll have the opportunity to learn about the things we value. This includes environmental consciousness (as we strive to produce minimal waste and practice recycling, composting, etc.), sustainable gardening, social responsibility in the hospitality industry, vegetarian cooking, and more. You'll have a chance to observe (or participate, with the organizer's permission) in the retreats we host on weekends, which tend to include activities like yoga training, sound therapy, neuroscience lectures, temascals, or ecstatic dance. We want to facilitate a space of self-development with flexible work standards so you can further your skills in the areas you feel passionate about. It is also the optimal place to practice your Spanish!

    Help

We wholeheartedly welcome those with a passionate work ethic and a warm smile! We are looking for those interested in contributing to garden give YOga sessions, work at our garden, art projects, photography/videography for our social platform and handy-work.

-During your stay, we give you the freedom to apply yourself to the areas of giving yoga, meditation or healing practices, organic gardening, art projects. We have several ongoing projects that need help to be completed as well, such as a stencil staircase painting project and an incomplete clay-lined pond.
-There are, however, daily/weekly tasks that need to be completed such as cleaning, recycling, harvesting fruit, roasting coffee and cooking food (for yourselves), etc. We have a volunteer coordinator that outlines these responsibilities daily.

-More often than not, we have weekend retreats in which groups of up to 40 people can arrive. We ask that some volunteers contribute to the functionality of these retreats with small tasks like escorting guests to their rooms and tidying up any common areas.
-We have a 2-week turnover policy (with possibilities of extension under a consensus).
-In exchange for 5 hours of help a day / 5 days a week, we provide you with sleeping accommodation. You have to arrange your own food

During your off-time, you have full freedom! You may use any of the amenities, such as the swimming pool, yoga shalas, libraries, musical instruments, and more.. We encourage you to enjoy the local area - we are located 8 minutes away from the astonishing "Sulupali Desert"; 30 minutes from the second highest waterfall in South America, "el Chorro de Giron"; 90 minutes from the national park of "El Cajas", and an hour walk to a peaceful river.

We value harmonious relationships, personal growth, quality time, and productivity. We treat each other with kindness, acceptance, and encouragement. Our home is our haven- our own paradise, so we expect our belongings and spaces to be treated with care. Cleanliness, awareness, and a sense of responsibility are essential to us. We ask that you do not smoke indoors or throw any type of trash on the ground. Keep in mind, we are pet-friendly! We have several animals living on the property, such as dogs, cats, chickens, and even a small family of geese that hang out by the lake! They are all part of our family and should be treated with lots of love!
