🌿 About our wellness hotel, spa & regenerative tourism

This is a hotel and spa focused on holistic wellbeing, mental health, and Regenerative tourism, located in the Yunguilla Valley, one hour from Cuenca, Ecuador. In addition to operating as a hotel and spa, the space hosts retreats, educational experiences, and personal development programs.

Over the past years, our project has evolved significantly. Today, this is not a backpacker hostel nor a low-budget communal space. We are a comfortable, modern, nature-based hotel and spa that welcomes wellness travelers, retreat groups, couples, families, and educational experiences. We operate with real guests, schedules, service standards, and real responsibilities.

Volunteers are an active part of daily operations and the guest experience.

🌞 Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for motivated, responsible, and proactive volunteers who genuinely enjoy:

    -Hospitality and guest experience

    -Wellness environments (spa, yoga, retreats)

-Order, cleanliness, aesthetics, and service quality

-Working with purpose in a real, functional business

-Contributing skills, not just exchanging time and learning

This opportunity is ideal for digital nomads, creatives, wellness professionals, and people interested in hotel, restaurant, or retreat operations, who wish to live in a beautiful place while actively supporting a meaningful project.

This is not a good fit if you are looking for:

    -A party or backpacker environment

-A very flexible or unstructured volunteer experience

-Mostly free time with little responsibility

We value clarity and alignment from the beginning.

    🔧 Support Areas & Tasks

Depending on skills and interests, volunteers may support in:

-Basic guest service and customer support

-Cleaning and communal spaces preparation (hotel standards)

-Facilitating yoga or wellness sessions (certified practitioners only)

-Social media management, content creation, and marketing

-Photography, video, design, and creative projects

-Art, painting, decoration, and small aesthetic projects

All tasks are real, necessary, and valued within the daily operation of the hotel and spa.

    ⏳ Exchange Conditions

    The exchange works as follows:

-4 hours of work per day

    -5 days per week

    In exchange for:

    -Private room

-One free meal per day, 5 days per week

-Access to a shared volunteer kitchen

-Enjoyment of seasonal fruits from the farm

Schedules may vary between morning, afternoon, or evening, depending on operational needs.

This exchange is based on active participation, not passive presence.

    🌱 Life

Outside volunteer hours, you may enjoy:

-Direct contact with nature, garden work, and walks

-Trails, gardens, natural lake with boats, and open spaces

-Social areas, games, slack line, giant Jenga, billiards, books and musical intruments and a small climbing wall

-You may request massages or holistic or psychological therapy sessions (additional cost)

-Use of pools and facilities (at specific staff hours)

-Occasional participation in activities, experiences, or retreats (when possible)

-Possibility to work extra hours in your free time and be paid for them

-Additionally, the project is connected to environmental, community, and territorial impact initiatives, related to conservation, sustainability, and care for the land. Volunteers interested in these topics may find opportunities for learning and collaboration.

    🗣 Language & Communication

-Spanish is not a strict requirement, but it is important to consider that:

-The main language of the team and local context is Spanish

-Non-Spanish speakers will need patience and openness in communication

Interest in learning Spanish is highly appreciated

    🌿 Final Considerations

We host a maximum of 4 volunteers at a time, to ensure good coexistence, clarity of roles, and a well-cared experience. We especially appreciate volunteers who wish to interact with our team and local culture, rather than mainly with other volunteers.

If you resonate with conscious hospitality, wellbeing, responsibility, and genuine contribution, this place can be a very meaningful place to collaborate.

We would love to have you with us! we are sure you would love this landscapes, views, nature and caring enviroment.

    Much love
    Wilson and Ericka

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Travelers who collaborate experience more than a cultural exchange; they take part in a real immersion in a fully operating hospitality and wellness project.

Through daily work, they learn how a wellness hotel and spa operates, how the guest experience is cared for, how service, kitchen, housekeeping, and customer attention processes are organized, and how practices related to wellbeing, mental health, and conscious tourism are integrated into a real business.

The cultural exchange happens naturally through daily interaction with our local team, understanding Ecuadorian culture from within, practicing the Spanish language, and learning about the social, community, and territorial dynamics of the Yunguilla Valley. This is not a superficial exchange, but one based on collaboration, responsibility, and mutual respect.

In addition, travelers may learn about:

    Conscious hospitality and regenerative tourism

Holistic wellbeing applied to everyday life

Teamwork in professional and multicultural environments

Relationship with nature, permaculture, and sustainability

Intercultural communication and service with purpose

This exchange allows each person to take away practical skills, human learning, and a deeper understanding of what it means to contribute with purpose, while living a thoughtful, authentic, and enriching experience.
