Description
We are a community project which aims to experiment with new ways of living, based on respect for the living, for others, and for the earth. Located in Gimel (Switzerland) since November 2017, it is open to welcoming and exchanging with the outside world.
Neither fixed nor dogmatic, our aims are:
- to set up and experiment with ways of ecological transition, cultivating degrowth and allowing exchanges around these issues;
- to serve as a place for social reintegration, using work on the land such as gardening, manual work such as renovation and artistic creation;
- to allow access to information and training without financial discrimination.
We have a big garden which constantly needs our attention and a cat. At the moment we are 7 adults and 4 children living full-time in the community, with others who are present on a regular basis.
We look forward to meeting you!!

We are also quite close to the lake, which is very welcome in the summer when we want to go for a refreshing swim and we are right next to the forest. One can easily go for hikes in the jura mountains or further afield.

I felt welcome from the beginning with their warmth! They were very patient with my French practice and helped me improve a lot and I also learned a lot about DIY and organic gardening from the various people I worked with here.

We were greatly received, felt comfortable from the start, and met chill and welcoming people.
We spent the first few days installing solar panels on the roof, working in the garden, and then worked on a few other projects for the house. We could have open communications about the work needed which allowed… read more
