They are a lovely couple, and I wish you all the best in the future.

We are a bit late with our feedback, sorry guys :) We stayed with Giorgo and Kate for a couple of weeks in october 2024 with our dogs and we had a wonderful time there! Perfect place next to the forest, Kate and Giorgio are very good hosts, we met many lovely people, could choose between many tasks around the house, had awesome dinners together, we ate our best pizza, had nice hikes, ziplining in Giorgios Woodpark, walks at the sea, picked olives, had trips to Naples and Rome, and so much more. You will get dirty, but thats part of the experience, but mainly you'll have a lot of fun. Hope to see you guys in the future and see what you did with the place :) Love, Daniel and Bianka

I spent a month (January- February) with Anne and Trond and it was an incredibly wonderful month during which I was able to learn so much and explore beautiful Norway. The dogs were all amazing and I miss them. There’s a weekly schedule that outlines the tasks, so you have a structure to follow and can easily plan small trips if you feel like it. The annex is very cozy and clean. In the evenings, Trond always cooked delicious dinners and over the weekend, we enjoyed delicious waffles on our sledding trips—thanks;) All in all, a very good first Workaway experience. I highly recommend it.

Hannah confirmed her stay with us and responded positively after we informed her of an important update regarding the activities on March 11. She did not request the exact location details, although it is explicitly mentioned in our profile that this is necessary for arrival. On the agreed arrival date, she did not show up and did not contact us at any point. As hosts, we rely on clear and timely communication, especially on arrival day. Unfortunately, this lack of communication and no-show made planning very difficult and had a significant impact on the following two weeks.

We had a really lovely stay with this family. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly welcoming, kind, and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The location is beautiful, and the accommodation was comfortable and well-suited to our needs. We especially appreciated the warmth and openness of the family, which created a genuine sense of being included in their daily life. If you enjoy working with children and value feeling like part of a family, this would be a great place to stay. Thank you again for having us and for the experience.

Anna came to me in March when the ground still was frozen. Because of that it was not that much to do in the garden. Anna and I had a nice video chat before she arrived, and then I felt that it was the right thing to say welcome. At that time she was in Kristiansand on an art residency. We had many good conversations, walks and talks in the nature. Anna also made many delicious meals for us, and we did yoga in the morning together. I also liked to observe when she took her photos, and how she as a photo artist worked. We also enjoyed evenings with film, music and some snacks. She came to stay for one week, but it happened to be for two. Because after the first week she got stomach pain, and that ended with hospital and operation to remove the appendix. Really sad for Anna to have this experience on her journey, but at least it went well, and we got to be more close to each other. Thank you Anna for this time, and I’m sure we will meet again someday 🥰

Toni was great. It was just a sort of filler post over a weekend before she went off to another one. She says she's going to be travelling for the next five months, and we wish her well. She got on with the work and cleared quite a large flower bed and learnt how to prune blueberry bushes. (We didn't know either). She said this was her first Workaway experience. We can recommend her, responsible, hard working, didn't need much supervision, intelligent. Also, she got on well with our kids who are of similar age.

I stayed with the family for 2 months and had such a good time. María and Miquel provide a great room and are very welcoming. They show you their Mallorcian life, provided with recommendations for Mallorca. Their kids Mariona, Tomeu Joan and Bel are amazing as well. They are easy going, social and can explain things well. Also, they won't agree with me about this, but their level of English is really good! It's impressive how María and Miquel learnt to speak English while doing these exchanges. I had a great time with the family and enjoyed watching the matches. Thank you so much for opening your house and home to me! See you soon❤️

Yuri stayed with us for a month and it was a very pleasant experience. He is an independent, respectful person and very easy to live with, which made everything flow naturally in our daily life. He always showed a willingness to help and a genuine curiosity to discover the area, engaging with the local environment and way of life. He also had a beautiful motivation to learn Spanish, taking every opportunity to practice and improve. It was a pleasure to share this time with him and we definitely recommend him as a volunteer.

I had my very first Workaway experience with Mazen. He was the best person I could have ever done Workaway with.we exchanged so much culture, talked about everything—politics, all kinds of life topics. I wanted to say that he is really kind, and honestly, he is someone I could be really comfortable with. I never felt heavy, tired, or lonely at all. We really connected. I taught him a bit of my Persian language, and I’m so happy that I met Mazen. Truly, it was the best experience for me, and I’m really, really grateful. I just—yeah, I want to thank him a lot, because we learned so much from each other every single day. I could see that Mazen was really a person who loves to learn, and he is so humble. He taught me so many cool programs, and I’m really thankful to him. Maybe one day, these programs will help me in my life.🌺💕

Sharing three weeks with Marion and Maellla was a very beautiful experience for all of us. From the beginning, living together felt very natural, with simple tasks around the house, conversations, laughter, shared meals and walks in nature. Beyond the help, the most valuable part was the bond that grew and the atmosphere of trust and joy that was created in our home. It was also very enriching for my children: my older son felt very motivated to practice English in a spontaneous way, and it was wonderful to see the cultural exchange happen so naturally. For me it was also a gift to keep improving my English and to learn through living together. We keep very beautiful memories and a lot of gratitude for everything we shared.

We had a great time staying at Chakara's forest garden. the wildlife and beautiful surroundings was incredible. We expected to do lots of physical work and were surprised to help him out with some videos to promote the place for future guests. This was good fun and a different experience we haven't tried before! If you interested in startups and have an entrepreneurial mindset this would be a great place for you. Chakara is full of great ideas and he would love to share them with other inspiring people. We had the most incredible food experience with 3 meals a day home cooked by auntie Melani and all the local produce. I don't think you can find a more authentic place to stay and start your Sri Lankan adventure. Louis and Bruce the dogs and Purupuru the cat are also an added bonus. The loveliest pets living a luxurious life in their heritage forest garden. Bonus! we had dinner under the stars with fruit bats flying over us. An experience I will remember forever!

We rarely see volunteers with so much drive and energy. Christina & Kevin were particularly interested in Sam's rebuilding project in the old mill. They were very keen on learning about the whole process and worked along Sam with lots of energy and enthousiasm. It was a refreshing experience hosting them as it also boosted Sam's enthousiasm for the project to new levels. Christina and Kevin are very easygoing guests, they stayed for three weeks dis a weekend house sit for us and fitted in a weekend to visit Granada themselves. It was a pleasure to host them and they will be forever welcome at the fam.

Gabriel was a truly wonderful guest, and we absolutely loved having him stay with us. He is warm, easy to talk to, and brings a very positive energy wherever he goes. He never complains, is genuinely grateful, and shows appreciation for everything around him. Gabriel was also fantastic with our horses. It was clear how much he enjoyed spending time with them, and they seemed to enjoy him just as much. We would happily welcome him back anytime and can highly recommend him to any future hosts!

Me and my partner spent 10 days at this lovely and lively home built partly from what the beach provided and partly from curiosity and work of Ted, Shao Mei, Kaylen and their friends. We had a lot of personal space as the accommodation was a separate big house in a Wes Anderson movie-like village by the sea (with the windy and cloudy season in early March, being there alone might be a little unsettling, but for two people the atmosphere was enjoyable). Ted picked us up every day around 9am, we were helping in their farm till 1pm and then had lunch together (since we are vegetarians, they adapted and prepared light vegetarian meal for us. We recommend buying groceries in the city once you arrive, because getting around the countryside isn't very convenient ( more expensive) if you don't have your own means of transport and there aren't places to eat out nearby (wintertime). Considering the work, we were helping with grinding old pieces of wood to prepare them for building stairs. We also helped with decorating walls in Kaylen's room as well as collecting stones on the beach for road building. It was very inspiring to see how upcycling gives new life and spark to things other people had thrown away. Life in Penghu felt just like a place where the time had stopped so we could slowly flow into the everyday routine of this slightly chaotic and always fun family. We are very thankful for your welcoming approach and wish you a lot of strength with ongoing projects! See you! Eli & Jubi

We hosted Sarah for about three weeks, and she was a great help with a diverse range of tasks. She worked with a team to set up and promote a new free library, networked for book donations, updated our cloud storage and informational booklet, created our LinkedIn page, and even led some community yoga sessions. Sarah is a structured, punctual, and reliable volunteer who approaches her tasks with discipline and mindfulness. I personally really enjoyed our working relationship because she is direct and clear in her communication, always being upfront about her expectations and what she likes or doesn't like. She completed her full stay with us and even dedicated some extra free time after her volunteer period ended to finish up a project. We appreciate her straightforward approach and solid commitment, and we recommend her to future Workaway hosts!

I had a wonderful week in Tala Paphos. Since Luanne unfortunately wasn't there, I took over her duties and looked after the kittens and the apartment. Her friend Frances kept me company and always made sure I was comfortable. I occasionally helped Frances with cleaning and vet appointments. It was a great pleasure, and I want to thank you again for the lovely time! I wish you and the cats all the best. I really appreciate the work you are doing!
