Carmina came in with high energy and a great connection to all the animals. She got along well with the other volunteers and workers. She was responsible to her duties, dependable and always ready to help. Gabriella misses her. Her bilingual skills are a real asset and her positive attitude make her a highly recommended volunteer. It was a pleasure.. Five stars for sure

We had a great time at Dianna and Gilly's place. We spent together as a family 6 unforgettable weeks and we find them as a very cheerful and kind couple who immediately makes you feel at home. So if you are looking for a home to home workaway experience this host will be a right match for you. The work that we've done wasn't hard or difficult at all. My husband mainly chopped the wood, made kindelings, painted the walls inside the house and arranged deep cleaning for garage. He used to help with sweat lodge which Dianna and Gilly hold every second Sunday and it's a fun job because you learn many new and spiritual things. I used to cook dinner for several times but I am afraid the way we eat is not that healthy as Dianna and Gilly used to. But I still hope they liked my dishes:) I helped with painting, did some housekeeping, watering flowers, ragging leaves and showelled the snow in front of the house. So my husband and me highly recommend this host and thanks a lot for being welcome and hospitable for us. Cheers Olga and Murat

I truly enjoyed my time together with Nazareth and the other volunteers! It felt a bit like living in a big family - cooking together, sharing every meal, playing games together, having inspiring conversations and of course lots of fun! There was a big variety of work tasks - during my time at the finca it was very easy work and I especially enjoyed working in nature (planting, harvesting cacao,…) and cooking. You have to pay a small fee for the food (no possibility to bring your own food), but since you only work a few hours per week and you get 3 meals every day - even on your two off days- it seems still fair to me. Many thanks to Nazareth, the other volunteers and the lovely animals for helping to make me feel so comfortable at the finca.

Sanna says in her own introduction "I am an easy going person", I would wholeheartedly have to agree! I would like to add however that she is also astute, intelligent, fun, stoic, a great conversationalist and an excellent worker. Nothing seemed to phase Sanna, from working at laborious weeding tasks to building fences in the wind and rain or hauling me up a 42 foot mast, varnishing on a rocking boat or netting grape vines with the notorious gander at her feet, she soon had him settled with her own calm nature. Sanna was tidy and clean around the house and always eager to help with the cooking and clearing up after meals. She was a joy and a pleasure to host, helping with so many different tasks I cannot list them all. In time off we managed a bush walk, again in the rain , but Sanna just enjoyed the beauty of the environment with no complaints toward the weather at all. Another day off we took the boat for a sail and she quickly showed her sailing experience, willingness to rise to the task and her quick learning ability. Sanna happily worked long days in order to have days off to adventure and take full advantage of her time with us. I would encourage anyone to host Sanna as a workawayer, she was a great asset in the garden and a lovely young woman to be around. We thoroughly enjoyed our time hosting Sanna and would have her back in a heartbeat. I have no doubt Sanna will succeed at whatever life path she decides to take and we wish her all the best for her future.

Brigitte is well traveled, energetic, and engaging volunteer to have the academy. We had a great experience with her stay here as she was quick to help out and jump in when needed, attended daily meditation and weekly classes, asked questions about Buddhism and Taiwan's culture/politics. She would also head out and explore as much as she could of Taipei when not working. Brigitte took a lot of initiative for her experiences, works, and socializing with others which we really appreciated here.

I had a great time staying here! Mauro and his family are super kind and welcoming, and I enjoyed working in the garden. The work was fair and well organized, and Mauro always made sure we finished on time. We were provided with plenty of healthy food, and cooking together with the other volunteers quickly became a nice part of the day. In the afternoons and on weekends, there are lots of opportunities to explore the beautiful surroundings of Villa Meliquina. The volunteers’ house is simple, but it has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I had a truly wonderful experience staying with Valentina and her three children, Nina, Gio, and Michelangelo, in Bologna. They are a beautiful Italian family, and I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived. Valentina is an exceptional host, kind, generous, and always attentive. She is also an amazing mother, deeply dedicated to raising her children with strong values and a lot of love. It was inspiring to see the way she supports and educates them, and I learned many meaningful things during my stay. I also created a nice connection with the kids. Nina has a lovely personality and seems to really enjoy music. Gio loves speaking in English and playing football, which made it very easy and fun to connect with him. Michelangelo also enjoys football and he naturally takes on a big brother role in the family. They are all super creative and amazing kids!! I’m very grateful that she opened her home and heart to me for three unforgettable weeks. In my free time, I was able to explore Bologna and also travel to Florence and Venice, which made the experience even more special. What makes experiences like this truly unique is not only the place, but the people you meet along the way. I leave with beautiful memories and connections that I will always value, and I hope our paths cross again in the future. Maximiliano.

Elvira and Julien are a very harmonious couple; they did a great job and were a huge help during the short time they were here, which was only half of what was originally planned. It’s important to emphasize that the time of the other volunteers and the project itself is invaluable, as is the opportunity it provides for those who commit to it.

I would highly recommend Chloe, she was a little ray of light and stayed with me for 5 weeks while learning how to make the outrigger's for canoes at a local waka maker. Chloe was by herself most of the time as I was away for 3 weeks. She cut and pasted honey suckle, looked after my 3 goats and cleared drains down the steep drive, and pulled many weedy bulbs. Unfortunately we have a few days of torrential rain that caused a large slip on the drive, Chloe got in and helped cleaned up the fallen branched and blocked drains. Yes Yes Yes, Chloe will be an asset around your land and house. She is easy to communicate with, follows instructions, hard working and pleasure to have around.

My time at this hostel was my very first Workaway, and what a great introduction! The hostel itself is beautiful and has a really good energy. Lots of space, art and chances to relax. All of the people who were volunteering are wonderful too, there was people from all over the globe who came to stay and work. I've made some great pals. Pisac is a lovely little place, there are opportunities to see some important Inka archeology or even tap into your spiritual side if you so wish. Miguel was such a great manager! He was patient, fun and easygoing. And as for Chaufa the resident dog, well he was the true boss ;) The work itself didn't seem like work at all :) I've been missing the Hostel since leaving, but I hope to return one day.

I volunteered for two weeks assisting with household tasks, gardening, and occasional dog sitting. I worked closely with Rob, he really made me feel welcomed from the start and we developed a great rapport! Our conversations and day-to-day interactions made the experience especially enjoyable. Thank you Rob! The expectations were clear from the beginning, and the workload was fair and manageable. I was provided with my own room and meals, and I particularly appreciated the shared dinners, which created a welcoming and social atmosphere, thank you Frances! I would recommend this placement to anyone looking for a short-term volunteering experience where you can contribute meaningfully while enjoying a comfortable home setting.

My overall experience was good! I had to work in the garden, cut old leaves, cut grass, shape the vegetation and plant new plants, clean the trash on the street side, paint some closets and other things. my work was quite tiring but rewarding. I got the chance to follow dance classes at the hostel but also outside of the hostel. I even got the chance to dance with the indigenous people, that's on Thursday nights at la Loma de la Cruz, a unique and powerful experience, and meet some musicians as well. I did some guided tours in and ourside town and did some hikes with a colleague volunteer. I tried to leave the place behind more beautiful than it already was and I hope the love I put in my work is visible:)

Saludos Roci!

Kate was a lovely fit for our household, her keen interest in sports kept my 12 year old and 10 year old busy. Kate is also a fantastic cook and who can forget the snickerdoodles cookies, so yum. We appreciated Kates work ethics, I came home to a tidy house after work, she is excellent at following a routine. Also noteworthy to mention that Kate is great at setting boundaries with older children. What is special about Kate is all the sport she played in our driveway, the bike rides and trips down to the park to kick a football. And lastly she loved our cats as her own.

When Doris invited me to come, I felt like I was going somewhere I had already been. I just had to step out of my comfort zone to find myself in the energy field that I would like to feel when I have my own physical home. At Doris's place, I felt accepted just the way I am and received confirmation that anything is possible when we are connected to Mother Nature. Your path is yours alone, but I still had to come to you to understand that the only thing that counts is daring to be different, by listening to where your heart is pulling you. Thank you for your pedagogical note on chores, the best home-cooked dinners and nice communication🌿
