I love physical labor (seriously!) and working outdoors - getting my hands/clothes dirty, doing anything that makes me tired at the end of a day. I can repeatedly lift 45lb (20kg) canoes over my head and I've cleared entire trees away to a brush pile. I like feeling useful.

I'm pretty great at engaging kids - running around, building forts, playing make-believe, playing any type of game really (not so much video games, but happy to try!), reading books, talking with them about their interests...

I LOVE to learn new things, and I am, at least I've been told, pretty fast at it - I learned the basics of how to row in an 8 racing shell in a matter of days, I learned how to shape bread quickly enough that they hired me off no previous experience, I successfully repaired a rip in the side of a canoe after watching a demonstration of how to mix/apply the resin and fiberglass once... I am enthusiastic and eager to help!

I love pretty much any card game! I enjoy crosswords as long as they're clever. I like to sketch/draw people, and I love to read. I am always looking for someone with whom to talk about books. I love long walks and the occasional run. I adore a good cup of tea and I love eating fruits and vegetables as a snack. My sister and I joke that we must have been rabbits in a past life, and some people seem shocked that we'll just chomp down on a bag of plain carrots, but seriously, what's better than a good carrot?

Chloe is a great workaway. Calm and pleasant. Intersting and knowledgable. Hardworking, competent and easygoing. So nice to have around. She helped with tree pruning and gardening . She is happy to have a go at anything. Her work was highly focused and she was really great to work with. Really good at cleaning up and tidying. Highly recommended.
