This was my first Workaway experience and I truly couldn’t have asked for anything better! Alan and Sue treated me like family from the very beginning, and the rest of the family was just as wonderful, always bringing joy even on my greyest days. The tasks were clear and interesting, and I really enjoyed learning new things. Thanks to this experience, I now dream even more of having a farm of my own one day. I 100% recommend staying with them. You will find so much love, kindness, and fun in this house. I really hope to come back one day.

It was one of the best experiences of my life. The people were always kind and made me feel part of the community as soon as I arrived. I learned so much by contributing to the activities, and we always worked as a team, helping each other. It is a chameleon-like project that is always evolving, with new projects, new people who join this family and never leave because it feels like home. The lunches, dinners, laughter, evenings with music, and activities in the garden were wonderful. A huge thank you for the time spent together.

Oh Mary, where do I begin... I am beyond grateful that I had the pleasure to stay with you for a while! From the moment I walked into your beautiful house, I felt so at home, welcomed by you, Minji and the Puppies of course. Also an honorable mention the amazing friends you have! I only stayed for six weeks, but the memory will last forever. All the Quiddler tournaments, all the beautiful hikes, the walks by the seawall and the lovely and deep conversations we had. The shared dinners, unwinding and watching a show together and just admirering the beautiful nature surrounding Sechelt and the entire sunshine coast. No matter what, you've always been nothing but kind to me! I wish you the absolut best in the world and look forward to see you again one day! Franzi

Marine was a wonderful volunteer. She is friendly, respectful, and easy to live with. She helped with many different tasks such as cleaning, animal care, and some construction work. She is flexible and always willing to help where needed. Marine also blended well with the other volunteers and the local community.She can cook with spicy. It was nice to share meals, conversations, and experiences together. I’m happy she came to stay here and she is always welcome back anytime. I highly recommend Marine to any host. I spent three weeks in the summer camp, and it was definitely the best part of my 3-month trip in Italy. I enjoyed the experience in terms of the teaching, the host and the accommodation. I was working in three back-to-back camps that lasted for 5.5 days each with the school, and each group there were 25-30 kids aged 6 to 12 years old. I was feeling a bit nervous at first. They have provided a briefing session before the camp and what we should expect but it's certainly a new experience for me. But one of the host, Carlotta, also as the leader and coordinator of the camp, provided me with great support and guidance from the very start and I felt instantly at ease. During the camps, I was responsible for helping around with the kids and the teaching, looking after the kids during free-time, facilitating the activities and teaching, and taking care of the kids in all time. It was definitely a bit overwhelming at first and exhausting sometimes, the host Carlotta has prioritised my well-being and was attentive to my needs, and making sure I was cared for even during the busiest hours. They also provided us with an apartment during the weekends so we dont need to spend much during the weekend for food and accomodation.

Orane and Charles were here during lambing which is a busy time on our farm. They are very capable people with lots of initiative and work hard. They took all the jobs given to them in their stride, even a challenging wood working project. Also they are very good company. I would recomend them to any other host without hesitation.

Ryan has come three times, and each time he has been incredibly helpful. From the moment he arrived, he showed great initiative and a strong willingness to contribute. One of the most valuable things he helped me with was setting up my website. He also shared many useful ideas that I can continue to develop in the future. Beyond the help he provided, he was also pleasant to have around and brought good energy to our place. We really appreciate the time and effort he put into helping here. Ryan, you are always welcome to come back for the 4th, 5th, and many more visits in the future!

Marco is an amazing volunteer. He is fit and able to complete any task given, from heavy lifting to getting his hands dirty. He is reliable, and I am very fortunate to have him helping me here. He is respectful, very flexible, and blends well with the community. I totally recommend him to any host. Thank you, Marco!

Recien terminó un mes que Miaike estuvo por aquí. Estoy lleno de gratitud por su energía y carisma. Tambien su forma tan humana y auténtica de comunicarse con todos para saber que necesitaba y sentirnos como una familia. Fueron semanas muy agradables en las que ayudo a cuidar a las gallinas, preparar deliciosas comidas y hornear postres y trabjar en unos muros de Bahareque. Su ayuda fue crucial para el trabajo en estas fechas y la recomiendo ampliamente! Encima, muy amorosa con las mascotas de el espacio y la comunidad cercana que conoció. Gracias, gracias gracias!

I enjoy my time so much with Ylenia and her beautiful family and it is still one of the best experiences I have had on Workaway - in terms of the work, the environment, the family. I felt instantly welcome and cared for by this family from the start. I stayed around two weeks and my main tasks are taking care of their one-year-old baby, taking him on a stroll and made lunch for him. I worked around 4-5 hours a day and the family are always super attentive and making sure I was not overworked in any way and there are clear boundaries drawn between life and work and I was offered a very comfortable room for rest. They are also super attentive and considerate as in they go out of their way to accomodate the rest days I wish for. They are a kind, warm, generous family that value the connection and the cultural exchange volunteers are providing with the family, and I just cannot wish for a better family to spend the summer with. Thank you Ylenia and Davide for this amazing experience and I wish the best for the family!

Cleo and Zoe were amazing! Very friendly, easygoing and respectful. The first time Cleo came to my place, she showed a very good personality and was highly independent. I was very happy with her and found her to be extremely helpful. She fed my cat and fish, helped maintain the garden area and construction work. The second time Cleo came with Zoe. Although I sent them to my friend’s place, both of them were very flexible and blended well with the community. They worked on sculptures, including welding and metal work. They can work without needing instructions and do everything on their own with passion and care. I totally recommend them to any host. You’re always welcome back here anytime. I couldn’t have wished for any better as my first workaway experience! The property is beautiful and the view is unforgettable. Anna and Steve are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met. They provide comfortable rooms and an outdoor kitchen with an amazing view. The work is well organised and structured (thanks to Anna’s experience), and is easy to follow. I had a lot of fun discussing with Anna and Steve and other workawayers about anything and everything. I can only recommend coming here and volunteering , especially if you’re a first timer like me, it will reassure you and give you confidence. Thank you Anna and Steve for everything and I hope to return some day!

I had a wonderful time volunteering at this beautiful place in Cuenca! The hosts (both the people and the dogs) were super kind and welcoming, and the work was fair and varied. It’s a wonderful environment with lots of unique opportunities—I’m very grateful to have stayed here :) Thank you!

From the moment these two legends walked in the door we knew we were going to have a great time together! Will and Molly were straight into helping out with whatever needed doing, being proactive with finding where they could contribute the most, playing with the kids and generally bringing fun and laughter into our lives. In the two weeks they stayed with us they helped out competently and enthusiastically with innumerable tasks including turning compost, feeding animals, organising the shed, moving (very heavy) timber, digging garden beds, moving rocks, mulching, cooking, cleaning, brushcutting, fencing, weeding, stacking wood etc, etc. It was sometimes a challenge to get them to stop working but we also had fun together playing games, swimming, drawing together , sharing jokes and listening to music. We would recommend them wholeheartedly to any future hosts and look forward to seeing their future projects unfold and hopefully helping out with them in return

Over her three months stay, Kaila brought real value to the ashram. She is a talented singer and very diligent in her work. During her stay we produced several chanting videos with her, and these contributed positively to the visibility of the ashram’s work online. Working with her was pleasant. She is cooperative, and there was never any friction while collaborating on projects. Kaila is also very social and naturally brings people together. She connected with other musicians in the ashram and organised collaborative content that further added richness to the content we produced. Another quality we appreciated was her attitude toward learning. Even when a task was outside her core skills, she was ready to help and picked things up quickly. We are grateful for her contribution. Kaila will always be welcome at the ashram whenever she finds herself in this part of the world.

We spent 10 days with Susan and her family at our arrival in New Zealand. We had a wonderful time with them, sharing meals together every evening. The bed was incredibly comfortable. As for work, we mainly weeded and cleaned the garden. A huge thank you again for everything; we had a lovely stay with the whole family.

I had a great time staying with Neri in Caringbah. I enjoyed taking care of her mom who is fun and has a lovely personality. She has a nice home and would often take us on a trip to the beach in Cronulla. This was my first Workaway experience which didn't disappoint. I can only recommend staying with her.

We spent two weeks with Lila, Jaysri and Dami and had a wonderful experience. They are incredibly generous hosts who give a lot and truly make you feel welcome in their home. It quickly felt like a little community, especially thanks to the shared lunches and dinners with a bunch of amazing people. The accommodation is comfortable and the place is very peaceful and beautiful. Lila is very flexible with the tasks, so we could help with many different things like weeding, harvesting potatoes, cooking, painting and some construction jobs. We also ate amazingly well every day thanks to chef Jaysri 👩🏼‍🍳, who cooks so well and happy to share her tips 💛. They also love creating moments together: local events, karaoke nights, pizza nights or evenings around the fireplace. We left with great memories and it was honestly sad to say goodbye. Thank you again for everything! We hope to come back one day to this very special place. Javi & Estelle

I had the pleasure to stay with here for 19 Days! And it was a wonderful and meaningful experience! The Dogs are just amazing! They are incredibly sweet, loving, and very well behaved. It’s impossible not to fall in love with them, and working with them every day was a real joy. The host is a kind and welcoming person, who can teach you a lot about working with all kinds of dog breeds and disabilities, which made the stay even more special. The daily routine is very comfortable. There was plenty of free time, and you get a day off every three days, which makes it easy to relax and explore the area. The massage place, the park and the 7-eleven around the corner are just perfect for after work! The food was delicious, and you got a fresh smoothie every day, which was a lovely touch. Overall, I had an amazing time and felt genuinely happy there. It was a rewarding experience, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves dogs! I will come back visiting anytime I can!
