Marie-Luise was a fantastic volunteer and a pleasure to have with us. During her stay, she showed great flexibility and commitment, especially when our chef went on holiday. She stepped up to help in the kitchen and took on additional responsibilities with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
She was reliable, hardworking, and always ready to help wherever needed. Marie-Luise worked well with the team, was respectful to everyone around her, and contributed to creating a positive atmosphere.
Marie-Luise also started surfing during her stay. Her commitment to learning was impressive, and it was great to see her progress so quickly. She approached surfing with enthusiasm, dedication, and persistence, which reflected her attitude in all aspects of her stay.
We are very grateful for her contribution and would happily host her again. We highly recommend Marie-Luise to any future Workaway hosts.
Thank you, Marie-Luise, and we wish you all the best on your future adventures! 😊🌊🏄♀️

Working at the Artland was an absolutely amazing experience! I had never had the opportunity to visit such a unique place, and getting to stay on property and explore after hours was such a treat. The work consisted of animal maintenance and grounds work. The work varied greatly from day to day so there was never a dull moment! And to top it off, the grounds staff is the best! So friendly and helpful, made the volunteer experience so much fun.

Giada is a truly wonderful person. She is responsible, caring, funny, and always ready to help with a smile. During her time with us, she was amazing with my son Leonardo. She genuinely loves children and spent a lot of time playing with him, making him feel happy and engaged. They played UNO cards, built with LEGO, played with cushions, balls, toy swords, and many other games. Leonardo absolutely loved spending time with her.
Giada was also a great help around the house and was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. Beyond that, she was lovely company. We shared some nice moments together, including a rooftop outing and a day trip to Bruges. She enjoys reading, has excellent taste in fashion and outfits, and brings positive energy wherever she goes.
Her kindness, maturity, reliability, and warm personality make her someone very special. We feel very fortunate to have met her and are grateful for all the support, joy, and friendship she brought into our lives. I would highly recommend Giada to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and enthusiastic person. ❤️ ti vogliamo bene , in bocca a lupo per tutto!!Vera e Leo :)

I completely agree with everything Vince has written. My nearly three-week stay with Maria and her son Ivo in May and June 2026 was also my first Workaway experience, and it turned out to be an unforgettable one.
Staying and working at this place, with its beautiful garden, vegetable garden, olive grove and lovely animals, was a wonderful way to experience rural life in Sardinia. The food was amazing—Maria is a fantastic cook and spoiled us after our morning work sessions with delicious meals, often prepared with fresh eggs and vegetables from her own garden.
Due to heat we started early with working on varied tasks - from removing weeds from the vegetable garden to clearing a field before mowing, cleaning up the bottom of olive trees and feeding the animals.
One of the highlights was having plenty of free time to explore the area, and I was lucky to share the experience with fellow Workawayer Vince. With my rental car, we visited stunning beaches, mountains, and villages, while Maria was always happy to share great recommendations and local knowledge.
Thank you, Maria and Ivo, for your warmth and hospitality. I leave with wonderful memories and can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Sardinian experience.

My stay here was overall a fantastic experience. Paco is a gracious host, eccentric, clever and passionate about this project. He is a warm person who will help you with anything you need.
The work entails all kinds of things related to home-improvement and carpentry, which can be a bit chaotic at times, however anyone can do it and will find something they can enjoy.
The village of Villabre is located in a valley in-between beautiful mountains. It’s really peaceful, serene and isolated. I met wonderful local people and had a really great time with the other volunteers, it felt very homey. To be able to stay here you need to be comfortable with not having modern convinces such as cafés or shops. I came here with my car which really improved my experience, as me and the other volunteers could go climbing in our free time!
I had a really great experience here and will definitely come back to explore more of “Green Spain”!

Carl was a pleasant and nice person to have around and he was easy to deal with when it came to accommodation and food. Carl was here for about two weeks and helped us paint two walls on the outside of the house and he was a great help.
He was self-reliant and knew a lot about how to do many things on his own.
He was careful and took his own initiative when he saw something that needed to be done.
We thank him so much for his help and wish him all the best in the future, and good luck with his new work experiences.

We feel incredibly grateful that Woody, Emma, Aurora, and Koko came to stay with us through Workaway.
What made their stay especially meaningful was that they run their own hostel and business in Georgia, yet they still chose to dedicate their time, energy, and care to supporting our project. We found that truly special. It says a lot about the kind of people they are that, despite having many responsibilities of their own, they were willing to invest so much of themselves into helping others.
During their weeks with us, they brought an amazing amount of love, knowledge, experience, and positive energy to our place. Emma is incredibly creative and highly skilled with practical and hands-on projects. Together, they helped create a completely new area that has become a beautiful addition to our space.
Beyond the physical work, they contributed so much to the community itself. They were proactive, reliable, and always willing to step in where needed. Communication with them was effortless, both in one-on-one conversations and during our heart-sharing circles. Even in situations where different perspectives arose, it was clear how emotionally mature and communicative they are. They have a natural ability to navigate challenges with openness and respect, helping to create stability, trust, and connection within the group.
A special mention also goes to the relationship they built with Enki. They spent so much time playing, connecting, and being present with him, and it brought him so much joy. When they left, there was genuine sadness because they had become such a valued part of our daily life and community.
We wholeheartedly recommend Woody, Emma, Aurora, and Koko to any host. They are kind, capable, thoughtful, and deeply community-minded people who leave every place better than they found it.
We, Bas and Nic, are already looking forward to hopefully visiting them and their family in Georgia later this year.
Thank you for everything, we miss you already!

I had a really wonderful time there. Alain is incredibly kind and generous, and from the very beginning he made me feel welcome and appreciated.
The place itself is truly beautiful — right by the lake, surrounded by nature, and with such a peaceful and special atmosphere. It really feels like a little oasis, a small paradise in the middle of Quebec. What I appreciated most was the great balance between work and free time, which made the entire stay feel both meaningful and relaxing.
Thank you so much, Alain, for your generosity, your kindness, and for sharing this beautiful place. I’m very grateful for the experience and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place in nature.

Jacey you are an amazing help with everything, in the garden and house. You are lovely with the Cats and the guinea pigs, and you cooked very nice meals, even in the solarofen. We had nice experiences together, by cycling and swimming. Even so early in the year, we swimming down the Rhine river in Basel. We visit the Stork place in möhlin and you helped also by weeding in the nature club there. One day by hot weather we cleaned all in the living room, just bring all stuff outside and clean it with water! Now we are happy about the nice living room jet:-)
We did some tasks with the bees and make hay for the winter for the guinea pics
You did also a lot of cycling, ones nearly till Basel an back!
You are a very friendly person, it is nice that you was by us!
we wish you a good time, you are always welcome and we hope to see you again.

This was my third Workaway experience, and I can confidently say that Jan and Susan have set the bar incredibly high.
From the very beginning, they made me feel comfortable and welcome. What stood out most was that they genuinely wanted me to experience Denmark rather than simply complete tasks. They took the time to show me around, share stories about their lives, and introduce me to their culture, which made this much more than a volunteering experience.
The work itself was fair, enjoyable, and clearly explained. I helped with painting, lawn mowing, cleaning, and a few other tasks around the property. None of it felt overwhelming, and there was always a good balance between work and free time. I particularly appreciated the trust they placed in me and the relaxed atmosphere they created.
What I will remember most, however, are the conversations. Whether it was around the dinner table, during a drive, or simply spending time together, I learned a lot. This was the kind of cultural exchange that makes Workaway special. I arrived as a volunteer, but I left feeling like I had made lifelong friends.
Their home is located in a beautiful setting, and spending time there gave me a chance to slow down and appreciate a different pace of life. Some of my favorite memories came from the simplest moments: sharing meals, enjoying nature, and learning about everyday life in Sweden.
For future Workawayers, if you are looking for hosts who are kind, respectful, generous, and genuinely interested in getting to know people from different cultures, you will have a wonderful time here. Come with an open mind, be willing to help, and you'll leave with far more than you expected.
Thank you, Jan and Susan, for your hospitality, your kindness, and for making my stay such a memorable one. I arrived hoping for a good experience and left with memories that I will carry for a very long time. If you will come here, you won't like it anywhere else. There, I said it!!

This is a wonderful camp located on the shore of beautiful Khuvsgul Lake.
The host, Ider, welcomed all of the volunteers like family. During my stay, there were around 10 volunteers from different countries, and he always took the time to check on each of us and make sure we were doing well.
The work included washing dishes, cooking, making beds, doing laundry, cleaning toilets, chopping firewood, and helping with various tasks around the camp. One of the highlights for me was helping to assemble a traditional Mongolian ger. As a geography teacher from Japan, this was something I had always wanted to experience, so I was very happy to have that opportunity.
There were many yaks around the camp, which added to the unique atmosphere. We often cooked together, shared meals, and spent time talking with volunteers from around the world.
The facilities were comfortable, with hot showers and everything we needed. On our days off, we even went hiking in the nearby mountains together.
Khuvsgul is one of the most beautiful regions in Mongolia, full of nature and breathtaking scenery. Being able to experience life here with Ider and volunteers from many different countries was truly unforgettable.
What I appreciated most was the sense of family. We were not treated simply as volunteers but as members of a community. On my last day, saying goodbye to Ider was very emotional. We hugged three times before I left.
Through this experience, I fell in love with Mongolia even more.
I highly recommend this camp not only as a Workaway host but also as a wonderful place to stay and experience the beauty of Mongolia.
Thank you, Ider, for everything.

One week with you in Mallorca was not just a stay; it was a journey into the heart of kindness, peace, and beautiful moments.
Surrounded by the golden sunlight of the island, the beauty of nature, and days filled with smiles and togetherness, we felt that we were not just guests, but part of a family.
Every conversation, every little task, every laugh, and every moment we shared has become a precious memory that we will carry with us. With your kindness and beautiful energy, you showed us that a home is not just a place; it is something people create with their hearts.
Thank you for giving us the chance to make our very first Workaway experience with you such an unforgettable memory.
This week will always have a special place in our hearts, and we know that a piece of our hearts will always remain in Mallorca, together with all the beautiful memories we created with you. 🌿

Hosts should not have favourites, but we fell in love with Francesco !!!
He helped us in so many ways. He worked well in every task we gave him and was very attentive at all times. He is very mature for his age and worked hard until a project was finished...and is a great team player.
He has good sense of humour and a relaxed personality. Also, Francesco is an excellent guitar player and he would be a great teacher for a host or fellow workawayers...not to mention his cooking skills !!!
We are so glad that he has decided to come back to us for the whole of August.
He has become a close friend and our door is always open for him !!!
