Description
We are a retired couple who have an older house in Salhus, Norway.
Salhus is located about 20 km outside Bergen and by a fjord on the west coast of Norway .
We have cats in the house, so that is great if you like cats.
We also have some chickens. The chickens are on our farm in the summer, but in the winter we have them in a small chicken coop behind our house in Salhus.
There is a small room at the back of the house with a bathroom right next to it and a separate entrance door that we use for our guests. It is just a small room with one bed 120 centimeters wide. So it will be a bit cramped, but it is possible for two people to sleep there if a couple wants to come.
We also have another room that can be used if there are two people on workaway at the same time who do not know each other or do not want to share a room.
You will be served a selection of Norwegian food, but we will of course try to cook food that you also like.
We usually eat the main meals together with our guests, but you are free to cook your own food if you prefer. And we appreciate you cooking your own breakfast and evening meal.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
There is the possibility of hiking in mountains and nature.
Bathe in the sea (if the weather and the temperature is nice).
There is a bathing place 100 meters below the house, or you can go to a sea bath in the city.
And there is the possibility of fishing.
Salhus is located on the outskirts of Bergen city, which is the second largest city in Norway.
So you have the opportunity to see the city if you want.
Bergen is an old city and therefore a much-visited tourist destination.
Help
We have an older house and a minimal garden that would be nice to get some help with.

Accommodation
You get a small room with a small double bed. So it is possible that couples can stay.
It is a little bathroom right next door.
There is also right next to the laundry room, where there is a washing machine and tumble dryer, and to the kitchen, where you can cook your own food if you prefer.
Coffee machine and kettle available.
It is an exit door from the room and straight out, so you can go in and out without disturbing anyone.
We also have another room that can be used if there are two people on workaway at the same time who do not want to use the same rom or dont know each other.
