I was extremely fortunate to volunteer at hostel for the month of January for Marina and Victor. They are so nice and always making sure we volunteers were happy and they are super supportive and communicative. The hostel is very nice and also chill with a cool living room and wood stove that is perfect for connecting with the guests that come to visit. Somehow this place attracts just the nicest people! The work was good! Making beds and maintaining the cleanliness of the hostel. You're in a quiet neighborhood but just a 10 minute walk from the city center and also very close to the cable car to go visit the Millennium Cross. I greatly enjoyed Skopje and working at the hostel was really great and I highly recommend this place. I hope one day I'm able to return.

Hi 👋 I had a great time in your place, you're both very good people, and you live in a beautiful place. I wish you the best, for you, your dogs, your cats... Thanks 🌲🐶

Staying at Nuri's place was a real pleasure, he's kind, and a very good cooker. We chop some wood, plant few trees, ate a lot of kiwis... Thanks 😊

Bon voyage!

For the most part, we really enjoyed our experience here. The team are lovely and we were lucky enough to work with Moises who is a wealth of knowledge on Cacao and all other plants growing around the property. We contacted Kenzie 2 months beforehand agreeing that it would be a good fit on both sides, however one week before she announced that she was "changing the format" and were asked to pay $80 USD per person/per week for vegetarian meals. Despite being shocked by the large sum of money we still agreed as we had already made lots of plans around this workaway and were really looking forward to it. When we arrived, there were already 3 other workawayers there, who did not have to pay any money. This seemed very unfair and awkward and none of us understood why she was asking so much money for new volunteers. We also found that there were not enough tasks fot volunteers and it's very poorly organized. If it hadn't been for the money, we would have stayed the agreed length of stay, but this left a bad taste and definitely not in the spirit of Workaway.

The experience was wonderful, but the main reason to go is for Nuri himself. He's the definition of gentleman, well traveled, and very interesting over all. Nuri is quite knowledgeable all about the area alongside agriculture. If you like food, he's a phenomenonal chef and having fresh ingredients elevated his dishes. The work is farm work, so it will be difficult and tiring. However, as a first time workaway, he set the bar incredibly high. Trabzon area is beautiful and rich in history as well, which is lovely to visit. I cannot recommend Nuri enough, if you're on the fence about it, just go.

I stayed at their house for about 6 weeks. The tension melted away the moment I opened the front door and saw the children greeting me energetically and Jackson(their dog)happily greeting me as well. The whole family was very friendly from the beginning, and I was able to fit in right away.Even Jackson🐕️and Cleo🐈️ were wonderfully friendly too. Daily life was very relaxed, and I enjoyed cooking and taking Jackson for walks. Also I played with the children and helped with tidying up. I appreciate that I was able to do tasks which I wanted to do without being asked to do difficult things. I'm so glad my first Workaway experience was at their home. Thomas always answered my questions about things I was curious about and was considerate of me at all times. Elisabeth is a wonderful woman and mother, and she is very thoughtful as well. She is a great cook and my favorite chef👨‍🍳 Asta loves LEGO and is a sweet girl; I enjoyed playing games with her. Mira is very energetic, always moving around the house, likes lots of physical play, and talked to me a lot. If you are considering doing a Workaway, I highly recommend their home. They are used to hosting Workawayers and very nice people, so if you choose their home, I think it is a good idea to think about how you can contribute as a "family member" rather than a "guest" Also, they like people who talk a lot, so it would be good if you are someone who can communicate a lot.😊 I will definitely come back again during the summer🤍

Ariadne and Murray are both very kind, polite, and respectful people. They are clean, tidy, and always follow the house rules carefully. They help willingly and complete every task responsibly. The children really enjoy spending time with them and playing games together. They bring positive energy and create a warm, happy atmosphere in our home. We truly appreciate their help and would gladly welcome them back anytime. Thank you and wish you all the best :)

I had the privilege of spending five incredible months with Venetia, Ollie and their three gorgeous kids. I was welcomed into their lovely home in the gorgeous Welsh countryside warmly. Venetia and Ollie are kind and accommodating hosts with hearts of gold. They have three of the funniest, clever, creative and kind kids I've ever met! The house is a 15 min walk to the gorgeous town Hay on Wye. An amazing place to wander around. There are several incredible hikes and walks surrounding. From epic snow adventures to gorgeous Christmas trips away, I've had the best time with this family and will be forever grateful for my experience!

<3 Muchas gracias

My first experience doing a volunteer program was at this place, and it was the best decision. I arrived in mid-December planning to stay for one month, but time kept passing and I kept extending… until I ended up staying two months, that’s the kind of magic this beautiful hostel creates. From the very first week, I already felt at home — and I don’t think that’s something that happens everywhere. Thanks to the whole staff that feeling was possible. We spent Christmas, New Year’s, birthdays, dinners, nights out, and so many afternoons together that made us feel more like a family than just a work team. It was the first time I spent the holidays and my birthday away from home, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. I felt supported and truly happy the entire time. The hostel is big, comfortable, cozy, and clean — it makes you want to stay there (to give you an idea, one of our favorite activities was reception rotting). The views are incredible and they’re with you all the time. I had reception, cleaning, and bar shifts. The tasks are simple and enjoyable, and the team is always around to help and answer questions. At the same time, they gave me autonomy and trusted the way I worked. I made friends that I know I will keep for life. Together we went to the beach, climbed Villarrica Volcano, did trekkings, helped each other with shifts, went out dancing, had dinners together, and shared thousands of stories and memories. I believe it is a great place to meet people, whether they are volunteers or guests. Thank you, family, for trusting me from the very beginning. thanks Marilyn for being the best reception trainer, thanks Nene for inviting me to the bar and teaching me how to make the drinks, thanks Titi for being the top shift partner, thanks Pilar for being our hostel mom and thanks Tomi for giving me the opportunity to be there and spend this season with all of you .This was an amaaaazing experience that will definitely happen again. See you on New Year’s!!

Just amazing ! I was at Rashed’s place for almost 3 months, it was a fantastic experience ! Your main tasks are to make breakfast for the guests and to clean it, you’ll also have some checkin/checkout shift You don’t feel working as the vibe is friendly and super chill, you have plenty of free time to explore surroundings or to go surf !! Super cool breaks around 👀 There is a good energy and you’ll be part of the local surf community with the surfshop staff If you want to experience living in a small Moroccan town by the sea and discovering the local culture while meeting super friendly people, it’s the perfect place ! Thanks again Rashed and Nadia for everything 😉 See you soon bro ❤️

Muchas gracias, chicos, esperamos volver a veros.
