  • Description

    Hello!

I'm Genevieve from Auckland, New Zealand.

I work in marketing, I find peace in reading, I love movies and the outdoors (especially water based activities). I would do unspeakable things for a strong black coffee in the morning and I like spicy food more than my ancestry would suggest.

While I'm not a builder, coder and don't have any extra languages in my wheel house, I do have a strong work ethic when it comes to hard work, working as a team, treating people respectfully and following through on work I've committed to. I'm happy to pick up a spade, clean a house, hang out with a little human (or a big human) or give anything a go if it means there are new experiences to be had.

  • More details about your skills

My day job was working in marketing, in not for profit and corporate (copywriting for web and social, social media targeting, project management and basic CMS content updates).
In another life, during high school and throughout university I worked as a swimming instructor part time for six years teaching children how to swim, as well as a lifeguarding intermittently.
I've also done a few English language immersion programs in Spain and Germany in 2018. In 2012 I did a volunteer project in Phuket, Thailand that focused on general conservation and rehabilitation of gibbons. Some of the tasks involved cutting trails in the forest, digging a compost pit and working to clean and upkeep the pre-release cages.
I'm also pretty content to pick up a gardening spade, paint a mural on a wall, pick some fruit or hang out with some little humans.
