Lune (Farid) and Eva stayed with us for a week and were absolutely fantastic Workawayers. They were super chill, genuinely lovely people and wonderful to have around the house. From the moment they arrived they fit right in and were such considerate house guests. They worked incredibly hard while they were here, helping us with weeding and mulching in the garden. They were amazingly speedy and efficient, and the garden looks so much better thanks to them. Beyond the work, they were just great company. We had some really nice chats, they cooked us some delicious food, and they were always happy to help with food prep and cleaning up. They were also wonderful with our son, he really took to them, and they gave our pets plenty of pats and attention, which was very appreciated! We honestly wish they could have stayed longer. They are the kind of Workawayers every host hopes for, they’re easygoing, kind, hardworking, and a joy to have around. We would welcome them back anytime.

From the very first message we received from her, Matilda replied quickly and warmly, even with the time difference between our countries. Communication was always easy and natural. When she arrived, she settled in with us almost immediately. Within a few hours she felt like someone we had known for a long time, and she quickly became part of our family. She shared kindness everywhere in our village. Even now, children still wait along the road hoping to see if Matilda will come by again with a small gift or a friendly smile. She is now quite busy receiving invitations from families in the village who would love to host her for a visit. We are very glad that we invited her to help manage our social media and take photographs to improve our profile. She is truly professional and takes her work seriously. This strong young lady climbed onto our rooftop to clean the solar panels. It turned into a small adventure and showed how capable and fearless she is. She is even leaving some clothes and sneakers here because she says she plans to come back again and again. Mom misses chatting with you every day. Please come back again. Our home will always be open for you. We still look down the road with the quiet hope that one day she will appear again with her backpack. Thank you, Workaway, for bringing someone into our lives who feels like a daughter to our family. Lakmini & MG

Wow. What an incredible place. Hagar and Rod are some of the coolest people I've ever met I couldn't of asked for better hosts! their place is insanely beautiful with amazing facilities they made me feel super comfortable and right at home! My Accomidation was a caravan away from their place and it was perfect no issues whatsoever. The work was super varied, I was left to my own devices mainly and got to choose how I spent my time which I really liked. Couldn't recommend staying with Hagar and Rod more if you enjoy some solitude, great vibes and great chats! I wish I could of done more for them and hope to see them again some time! Thank you so much Hagar and Rod!

This place concentrates some of the kindest and most genuine people you will ever meet in your life in one amazing campus, and they've built something truly remarkable while being totally dedicated to doing the most good they can. The family "vortex" is a very real phenomenon where you'll get totally sucked in and never want to leave. There are many different types of activities on a day to day basis that help to further the goal of feeding those in need, and those include the actual peach plant where the peaches are processed, wood shop to fix pallets and trays, which is where I found myself a lot of the time, kitchen to make great food for the cafeteria, and others like morning peach lay out, gardening, cleaning, etc. Outside of the actual work period, there are a ton of things to do for fun, like the game room with pool and ping pong tables, basketball courts, volleyball, and just hanging out with all the great community members and summer staff. You'll likely take a trip to the many nature spots around like Sequoia NP which is not too far a drive away or one of the nice surrounding lakes and such. If you're considering coming here, don't consider. Just do it, you'll have a blast.

I had such a nice time with Emma and her family! They were able to host me last minute and made me feel super comfortable and welcome, they live in the most beautiful area with so much around to do and see! My accomidation was perfect and the work was really nice, I fed and let out the chooks in the morning, helped with cleaning, did a little bit of cooking and entertained the kiddos (who are great fun). The highlight was getting to go on an amazing horse trek with Emma and some of her friends! For my first Workaway I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay and just wish I could of done more for them! Thank you guys!

We really enjoyed our 5 weeks at Ken’s place ! We had a lot and diverse missions, especially creating photos and videos, gardening at his restaurant and doing some DIY in his house. We met some of his friends and we shared meals and moments together. We also cooked a lot for them, we were happy to share our French culture in return of the Malaysian one ! Thank you Ken 😊

My time here was pure magic. It’s hard to put into words how brilliant this place, and Mish and Nige, truly are! Before even meeting her, I could tell that Mish is incredibly organised, which I really appreciated as everything was clear and each day ran smoothly. In just a few days I learned so much about conservation, forest restoration, native species, propagation, planting, weed control, and track maintenance. Mish is an amazing woman and a remarkable host, making the most delicious, fuelling vegetarian food every day. Nige has a calm and grounding presence that I really admired. They both brought so much inspiration to my life in so many different ways. It was great to spend time with the other wonderful volunteers - chatting, exploring the beautiful forest, cold plunging and practicing yoga. It was a week full of laughter and excitement, as well as peace and relaxation. The morning meditations were also such a lovely way to start our working days. My only wish is that I could’ve stayed longer! Thank you so so so much for having me Mish and Nige. The community you have created is just wonderful - full of love, kindness, curiosity, and generosity. I really hope to return again in the future. So yes I HIGHLY recommend this Workaway.

My stay with Mish and Nige was absolutely perfect. This is an absolutely special place, and so are Mish and Nige. They are genuine, kind, and open hearted. Giving so much to the land and also ensuring that you have a special stay. The work was enjoyable, making me feel extremely connected to the land and a part of something bigger than myself. They pour so much into the community and vice versa. I like that you arrive and leave at the same time as the rest of the group, it allows you to bond and make special connections, also facilitated by Mish and Nige creating an open space. Mish’s cooking is absolutely unreal, vegetarian, and she ensures you are always very well fed. Outside of work, there are water holes to swim, land to explore, places to meditate, relax and even a platform to do yoga. I cannot recommend my stay here more, I would love to return and to see all the great new work that has been done and to help out again. If you are considering staying here, please do, it’s really incredible.

I stayed at Epona for about 2.5 months and had a really great experience. My tasks included feeding the horses, giving supplements and medication, helping with housekeeping when guests were staying, preparing food during retreats, chopping wood, sanding and painting chairs, and helping with general tasks around the property. The most fulfilling part for me was working with the horses and spending time around the herds every day. It was very special to be around them so much and to see such happy animals, and it gave me a lot of energy each day. The ranch is quite remote, so it’s important to be comfortable spending time on your own and enjoying a slower pace of life. I learned a lot from Hillary and Debs during my stay and felt that they really appreciated the work I was doing. I would recommend this place to solo travelers who enjoy physical work, quiet surroundings, and spending time with horses. I had a wonderful time and I’m very grateful for the experience. Thanks for having me!

We would like to sincerely thank Peter and his friend Ivory for the wonderful time they spent with us in our home and within the entire community. Hosting them was truly a beautiful experience for my family and everyone around us. Their simplicity and humble nature made them feel like part of our family from the very beginning. We greatly enjoyed the moments of teaching and cultural exchange with them. They shared their knowledge with kindness and enthusiasm, which meant a lot to us. We are especially grateful for the beautiful drawings they helped create at the school. These drawings have become very useful to the children and are now part of their daily learning. Ivory remains deeply in the hearts of the children. She was so kind and caring to them that they still keep saying how much they love her. Her warmth and patience with the kids made a lasting impression that will not be forgotten. Peter was a true gentleman—respectful, generous, and full of kindness. He related so well with everyone and was greatly loved by our family and the community. You are both deeply missed by my family, especially my children. We are very grateful for the time we shared together and the joy you brought into our home. We wish you the very best of luck in all your daily undertakings wherever you may be. Please remember that you are always welcome here again whenever the opportunity presents itself. Our home and community will always be happy to receive you. 😊

I can say without any hesitation that staying with Marta and Thomas was one of the most rich and positive human experience I had in my whole life. I learn a lot of things about sustainability, teamwork, communication, nature, cooking and more ! A lot of them, I will cherish and carry with me back home. I felt like I was part of something and we were going in the same direction improving our lives and ourselves. I'm already miss the feeling of being all together, simply talking and finding solutions about our next project. I left the house with so many good memories and hope to stay in touch in the future :) Thank you for everything, Julien

Cristian is an amazing host and an incredibly interesting person! From the very first moment, you feel at home because he doesn't just feed you and provide a bed; he shares his life with you. He lives with his mum, six dogs and three cats — the sweetest family you'll ever meet! The place is very isolated; it's like a piece of paradise surrounded by trees, hidden from the outside world. At the same time, it's only a 10-minute drive to La Ceja and two hours to Medellín. But it's never boring because life with Cristian is very intense. There's yoga, breakfast, morning work, preparing lunch, nap time, afternoon work, yoga again, preparing dinner... The work isn't hard, but with all these activities, there isn't much free time, so it's best to clear your schedule if you want to enjoy your time here. It's especially great for yoga lovers! I was inspired by Cristian's passion and hope to continue practising. I was really happy to spend eight days here, trying the amazing dishes that Cristian cooked and enjoying the home atmosphere.

Jordanna joined our family for a week and was hardworking and great with the kids. She had good initiative and asked questions if she wasn't sure. Most of the tasks included cleaning up after the morning and evening chaos and general housework and windows. She joined us for meals and made the most of her time in Dunedin.

Francoise was a fantastic host, her spunky nature and energy really setup a warm and enjoyable stay. you can clearly see her experience with hosting from agreeable hours Nd thought beforehand. She organised the work in a really clear and considerate way, which made it easy for us to contribute meaningfully. The work itself was fair and reasonable, and Francoise was very adaptable depending on the weather, which we really appreciated. We also loved being part of the permaculture village during our stay. The community was full of lovely people, and Francoise often invited us along to social activities which made it easy to connect with others and feel included. The setting itself was beautiful, surrounded by nature with birds and kangaroos everywhere, it was a pretty special place to spend time. We’re really grateful for the experience and the chance to be part of such a thoughtful and vibrant community. We are still lingering in the area because we had such a positive experience.

We absolutely loved this little temple, it's an amazing place in a beautiful region. We are very thankful to Kai and Kenshi for giving us this opportunity and hosting us these 3 weeks. On a more pratical side, we worked 15h/week for accomodation. Food was not provided for this little amount of work. We mostly did leaves collecting which was super chill and nice during sunny days, while some cleaning and small jobs on rainy ones. The place where we were hosted was an old traditionnal house, so expect some cold in winter... But it's nice and confy, especially with the kotatsu. Kai and Kenshi were very busy at that time, so we could not get to know them well and really spend time together. We are very thankful to their father who really took care of us and showed us around. We can only recommend you to stay here if you want to break in your journey and discover a quiet and beautiful area.
