  Description

  Retreat Ranch in Canadian Mountains, home to horses, we are an accomodation retreat ranch facility located on beautiful 80 acres, a rural environment . We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic workaways to join our support staff. We are located close to Kamloops BC.
  
  We cannot accommodate couples for this position or in our living space. Please do not apply if you are applying as a couple.

  Our workawayers will be able to get exposure of being a part of our ranch and experiencing the landscape of the Canadian mountains. We are close by to Sun Peaks ski resort and lots of private trails that are great for hiking and exploring the area.
  We are not family type host. You will not be part of the family or family meals. We have 2 young children so life is very busy for us at the moment and we cannot host family dinner every night. Workawayers have their own apartment and there is always at least 2 of you. I have a Retreat Manager called Debs, she is responsible for leading the workawayers in tasks and making sure you have everything you need to be happy.

  Help

  We run an accommodation retreat ranch in the mountains of British Columbia Canada that is also home to our herd of rescue and retired 28 horses.
  
  Work includes:
  
  We pay minimum wage as listed in our province of BC which is currently 17.85 per hour. We regularly track minimum wage requirements in our province to ensure our wages reflect the minimum requirement.
  
  Please make sure when applying that you have the appropriate work visa to be able to be paid in compliance with Canada and BC law.
  
  Turn over and cleaning of our cabins and lodge. We have 8 cabins and a main lodge.
  
  Our retreat season is from April to October which is a very busy time for us. During this time we are hosting guests here that are coming to our retreats. We also hire the whole facility out to private retreat leaders that bring their guests here.
  
  In the winter months we are much much quieter. We do some bookings for guests coming to ski the mountain at Sun Peaks and whole rentals of our cabins and lodge for their events or family gatherings .
  
  We are looking for workaways that have experience in hospitality, tourism and horse care, that are positive in nature and do not mind doing a variety of jobs at our retreat ranch.

  We will provide you with a private room and bathroom with common kitchen area that is located above our lodge, our workawayers are responsible for cooking their own meals in their own kitchen.

  For travelling here, we can arrange a ride to the retreat center from Kamloops British Columbia, workaways can fly or take a bus to Kamloops and then we will arrange a transport from there.
