Description
Hello there! We need help for our farm and stables in the lovely pine forest of Castelfusano, Rome. The bus stop is 2 km away, while the light metro station is 4 km away, giving you a good chance to explore the city during your free time.

We are in the Roman pine forest of Castel Fusano, and you'll have a chance to stay close to the city (the light metro station is 4km away, and with 1.5 euro you can get to the centre in 35 min) and be in a lovely natural setting, while learning something about horses and farming.
I am Irish Italian (Irish mother, Italian father) and a qualified language teacher, so I can help with your English or Italian.
I may not be around much these days, so your host will mostly be Guenda, the friendly lady that owns the horses.
Help
The morning routine involves feeding and cleaning the horses and it takes approximately 2 hours. After that we usually find something else that needs to be done.
You don't need to be experienced with horses, as there is not much horse riding going on.

Liza was a great workawayer, reliable, friendly and independent. She took care of our horses, kept the farm clean, fed the other animals and was always on time and didn't need much guidance. She is also a pleasure to be with and she got along very well with the other workawayers . Thanks!!

I spent amazing two months on the farm working with Guenda and the others workawayers. I have no words to describe how much I was happy during this time.

It was a pleasure hosting Elizabeth for a couple of months or so, as she was extremely useful with the horses and various daily tasks. She is hard working, eager to help and learn new stuff. She also helped me with some of my students, who enjoyed having her as a "supply teacher", while I could take care of some other stuff. Thanks a lot !

Amy and Leah stayed at our farm for a month or so and we couldn't ask for better workawayers. They are extremely tidy and organized, and carried out the tasks exactly as we asked. They were also independent when they needed to be, and were a pleasure to be with. We had great laughs together and were great help at the farm.
