    Description

    We are a family of three running an equestrian education center in the beautiful area of “ la Costa Daurada”, 10 minutes away from Reus airport and only 5 minutes away from Les Borges del Camp.
    PikDame was created to become a space where horses and humans become one; a place to develop our talents and enjoy building up a relationship and friendship with horses, a relationship where mutual respect and understanding are the solid ground on which to build further. A physical space as well as an emotional place to be.

    We have developed our own training methodology, Symbiosis
    In a world where everything happens really fast, where people are used to getting everything immediately, we have created a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, balancing love, trust, admiration, and courtesy towards those magnificent animals.

    Help us spread the knowledge and become an ambassador for horse welfare with us. We are always involved in gardening and improving the quality of life of our horses; pioneers in equine welfare and ethical training;

    This year projects involve a retaining wall for one of our riding arenas and diversyfying our paddocking areas alongside some filming of our training and legacy for promoting our methodology; if you have any expertise in those, please give us a shout, our project relies a lot on people like you :)

    If you are interested, we can offer horse training and preparation for internationally recognised horse qualifications (for host staying a minimum 2 years).

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    There is a lot to enjoy and experience while you stay with us, you will learn about our culture and way of life. We speak Catalan, Spanish and English so for sure you will learn some words if you don’t know any, or improve your knowledge of the language if you are willing to do so. If you have a horsey background there is a lot to learn and enjoy about horsemanship and our way of training which includes groundwork, work in hand, lunging, liberty and riding. The Catalan culture is something we are really proud of and there is a lot to visit and enjoy around us. The beach is really close by only 15 minutes by train, and we do have great climbing areas around and beautiful natural surroundings to have walks and enjoy nature.

    Our centre is located in 3 hectares, with lots of garden areas, olive trees and fruit trees, taking care of them is one of the activities we enjoy spending time on. There is always little building projects going on, painting, building feeding boxes for the horses, fixing paddocks, etc…. No special skills are needed, just a friendly, positive attitude.

    The centre is located only 5 minutes away from Les Borges del Camp, where there is a train station. Tarragona is a port city founded before the 5th century BC and is only 15 minutes away by train. Barcelona is only 1:30 away as well. So there is a lot to visit, enjoy, and do with your spare time.

    Can host digital nomads

    We have an office with wifi where digital nomads can work from; we are in a rural area, so the internet works but can sometimes be a bit temperamental. It doesn't happen often, but it can happen, especially if there is a bad weather forecast.
