Oh, how I miss this place and the wonderful human beings and the sound of the sea with the scent of fresh Rosmary. Jenn, Vico and Amaru are truly some very special beings that have the gift to make you feel like a family member from day one. This experience will hold a very special place in my heart and I would love to go back one Day, for sure.

I stayed here for two months at the beginning of the year and it was the best volunteering experience I've had so far. This is truly a paradise where you can recharge, grow, learn to trust humanity again and it's a safe space to embrace your femininity. I volunteered here and I had the opportunity to learn a lot about syntropic forestry, sustainable living and community life. The work started at 8 or 10:00 (when joining yoga class) and continued until the afternoon. We collected branches, mulched the syntropic lines, pruned aromatic herbs, made compost, digged in the water irrigation systems and planted seeds, trees and some plants like the aeonium ( a favorite of mine!). The donkeys and alpacas were to be fed by us every day and towards the end about 40 sheep got a new home as wellll! Each week we harvested some fresh fruit and veggie produce for the kitchen, how wonderful to be able to do that. There are loads of edible herbs and flowers to pick on the domain if you're into phytotherapy or edible plants. The food was delicious, colourful and nurturing and the daily yoga classes were a perfect way to devote myself to more self love and develop a healthier, deeper mind-body connection. I think the biggest things I've learned during these two months are how there are still places in the world where people more genuinely care for each other, where true kindness and happiness are dominant and where people express and create without it being a competition but for the sake of enjoyment, connection and to be in a flowing state and that friendships and interpersonal relationships can make life so much more beautiful and worth living<3 My confidence in others and myself has come back :) Thanks again to Vidya and all the other members. Roos is a great companion. Unfortunately she came here when a dishwasher was broken but she faced it like a heroine. She is very good with animals, beloved by kids, useful helper with construction projects and always ready to help. We really enjoyed chattting with Ross about everything, specially her adventures in South America. Thank you for everything Roos and see you next time. :))

It was an absolute pleasure having Francis come to stay. She was hardworking, kind, interesting, very open and just a pleasure to be around. Please come back again one day….

She's cheerful, cheerful, intelligent, and asks brilliant questions that make you think, never boring or stupid. She cooks very well, draws, makes beautiful clay sculptures, and is always ready to work. She knows how to do so many things both outside and in the open field. My land and my plants were happy and honored to have her here. She's very good with animals, and I always felt at ease. Misaki or also named Kiki was here as a Workaway guest in February, and we had a wonderful time together. Kiki has a very gentle, friendly, and polite nature, and our conversations about her country and culture were very interesting and touching. Kiki's work style was calm and focused, and she didn't stop until she had completed the task perfectly. I was constantly amazed by how much she accomplished. I had a wonderful stay with Enes, Sinem, Alp and Bala. They are a welcoming family who immediately put you at ease, you have a lovely room, cozy house and wonderful meals cooked by Sinem. I enjoyed helping her in the kitchen and trying her beautiful soups ! The work was chill, mostly basic easy cleaning, I would wake early and help clear the kitchen before school. Most of the day was free to relax or explore, take the dog for a walk, and when Alp was home we would play or watch English songs. Bala sometimes too, though she often had homework or other things to do. Alp remembers EVERYTHING, he is bright and wants to learn. I was impressed at how quickly he retained vocabulary and phrases from songs. I would recommend English songs which he loved to watch and games with movement. A very sweet boy who is easy to teach or just play games with. Enes and Sinem also want you to enjoy Turkish culture, so they explain things about the foods, and it was Ramadan a week after I arrived, so I tried foods unique to winter and this period. I met some of their extended family who are also very generous and kind. The family are still learning English, so you cannot speak fast, but between google translate and taking the time over dinner to exchange, you can learn a lot. They are always willing to help and I enjoyed my stay, both at home and visiting Yalova, Bursa, Iznik over the weekends. Thank you very much for the lovely welcome I learnt a lot and will surely return to Turkey in the future :) Emma 🤗

Hosting Emma was a truly wonderful experience for our family! We spent nearly three weeks together, and she became a part of our home. She was very clean, tidy, and respectful of our house rules. ​She got along perfectly with our children; they had so much fun together. Even though our English is at a beginner level, communication was never an issue. Emma is so expressive and uses her body language so well that the language barrier simply disappeared. We also loved learning so many interesting things about New Zealand from her! ​What touched us most was her respect and adaptability during the month of Ramadan. She fit into our daily routine so naturally. We are so happy to have met her and would highly recommend her to any host family. Thank you for everything, Emma!

Non avevo mai ricevuto due sorelle ed è qualcosa di strepitoso. Infatti adesso vorrei che tutti i Workaway che vengono a trovarmi abbiano un fratello o sorella, o almeno Un cugino ahahaha. Sono stato molto bene con le due ragazze. Sono due sorelle davvero disponibili In qualsiasi lavoro e imparano anche in fretta. Abbiamo lavorato sia fuori che dentro e la loro energia è molto bella, allegra es energetica. Sempre sorridenti, hanno migliorato il tempo e lo spazio. Infatti quando vorranno potranno tornare. Grazie per aver scelto di venire da me, a presto. I've never had two sisters before, and it's amazing. In fact, now I wish all the Workaways who come to visit me had a brother or sister, or at least a cousin, hahaha. I had a great time with the two girls. They're two sisters who are truly available to any job and are also quick learners. We've worked both inside and outside, and their energy is wonderful, cheerful and energetic. Always smiling, they've made the time and space better. In fact, they can come back whenever they want. Thank you for choosing to come to me, see you soon.

my time at this place was a peaceful reset that I definitely needed. the space is beautiful and tranquil (with the exception of barking dogs but that's expected in the Colombian countryside). the living area is comfortable and the food delicious and filling. flexibility is definitely needed in terms of accommodations with the retreats, be prepared to change sleeping arrangements as necessary. the work I did was mainly landscaping and deep cleaning of the retreat spaces as well as serving food during the retreats. work hours are very respected! you must enjoy and do well with structure and schedules for this Workaway. the one thing I wish was more clear from the profile is that food is not provided on the weekend and there is no kitchen access at all for volunteers (no stove/oven, no guaranteed fridge space). Natalia (& her lovely parents) and Eyal are super kind and it was a pleasure to join them for this project!

Steven was such a lovely person to have with us at the hostel. From the very beginning, his charisma and warm presence made a difference—guests felt comfortable around him right away, and he naturally connected with everyone, from travelers to the rest of the team. He’s organized, reliable, and easy to work with, but what really stood out was how kind and respectful he is in everyday interactions. He brought a really nice, positive energy to the space and quickly became part of the little community we had. Honestly, having him around felt more like having a friend than just a volunteer. We’d happily have him back anytime and can definitely recommend him.

Anja stayed with us for 3 weeks, it was a lovely exchange. i found her to be a quirky, intelligent, caring person. She made good bonds with everyone she met here. Anja done varies jobs like looking after my dogs and cats, setting up accounts to sell clothing online for me, cleaning, organising my garage, shes not scared to get her hands dirty, she helped me with manual labour jobs around the garden. She's also a great cook, I wish her the very best on her journey.

Dionny et Allan sont incroyables, c'est très plaisant de pouvoir échanger avec eux. Allan nous a même organisé une partie de futbol avec les locaux. L'horaire est très flexible et m'a permis de faire plusieurs hike. Allan offre de très bon conseil pour les randonnées!

The time we spent with Nowelle was a treasure and and a joy. She is a fantastic person and a very good chef and baker. We miss her every day and welcome her back any day.

Sonny arrived at our place by Motorbike, all the way from Norway which was super impressive. He was a great help. Super hard working, very friendly, and bonded really well with the group. We were happy for his support.

I am very thankful for this experience! Tom ist a kind, friendly host, the work on the farm is easy and makes absolutely happy in this stunning landscape. Wilma the dog is funny and lovely, too - as same the chickens. The food is soooo nice and fresh and the apartment in the house, where I lived in, is modern and beautiful. The olives are magic as well as the nature there. The village is only 5 min walk away - so I recommend Tom absolutely!

Niklas was an absolute pleasure to host, and we feel truly grateful that he chose to stay with us. From the very beginning, he was kind, respectful, and easy to be around, quickly becoming a natural part of our daily life. He brought great energy and a positive attitude, and his help (especially with photography) was exceptional. The quality of his work honestly exceeded my expectations and added so much value to what we do. He was always willing to contribute, attentive to details, and genuinely cared about making a difference. Beyond his skills, Niklas is simply a wonderful person to have around, thoughtful, friendly, and open-minded. My family and I shared such beautiful moments with him, and those memories will stay with us for a long time. I also truly appreciate the trust he showed in me by booking his Kilimanjaro climb and safari through my company. That support meant a lot to me, both personally and professionally. I can wholeheartedly recommend Niklas to any host. He will not only contribute with his skills but also leave a positive and lasting impression wherever he goes. We will always welcome him back with open arms and hope our paths cross again someday

We spent about 40 days at Grazia and Antonio's house, and it was one of the best experiences we've ever had! We truly formed a family bond; sharing time and conversations with them was the best part. They opened their home to us, we tried new local dishes, shared experiences, and became part of their routine with their animals and daily life. We had a room with a private bathroom, and we were in charge of feeding the animals and often cooking (especially vegetables we had never eaten before!!! hahaha Grazia always bought us meat because she knows we love it). We also tidied up and cleaned parts of their house. We took away the best memories and hope to return soon! They are all part of our story. We adore them!
