Description
Hello and welcome to the volunteer program! We’re Natalia & Eyal, a Colombian-Israeli duo who have been running an ecological and social project in the heart of the Colombian countryside for the past eight years. We're excited to share our little paradise with you.
We live on a beautiful farm, 80 km from Bogotá, in a bamboo house nestled in the middle of a mango plantation. The weather is pleasant year-round (15°C to 30°C), with an abundance of tropical fruits and rivers within walking distance. Our main activity is hosting retreats and workshops centered on wellness, body movement, and conscious living. We also teach English at the local school and coordinate this beautiful volunteer program.
This is a unique opportunity to experience an alternative lifestyle far from the modern rat race — one where abundance is cultivated through creativity, presence, and heartfelt collaboration. We believe in sharing knowledge, resources, and support generously, and we do our best to contribute to the well-being of our local community, which in turn warmly embraces us.
Volunteering here often involves physical work, and yes — you may get dirty and sweaty! If you’re not used to this type of labor, it can feel intense at first. Don’t worry — it’s normal for your body to need a couple of days to adjust. We value aesthetics, cleanliness, and order, and we kindly ask all volunteers to help maintain tidy personal and shared spaces to keep a harmonious atmosphere.
Please note:
Living and working on a farm with a set rhythm can be a big shift, especially for travelers used to the free-flowing backpacker lifestyle. Before applying, we encourage you to reflect honestly and see if this experience feels aligned with your current path. Reading the feedback on our profile will help you understand what other volunteers have lived here.
We are especially looking for volunteers who:
Are independent and self-motivated.
Feel comfortable with silence and spending time alone. While we share activities together, we also value personal space and inner reflection.
Can adapt to a structured yet natural lifestyle, where not every moment is scheduled but each one has its rhythm.
Important Information:
Daily contribution fee: $6 USD
Weed smoking is not allowed. We strive to maintain a respectful atmosphere and uphold a positive reputation within our local community, especially due to our work with children and schools.
Kitchen facilities are NOT available for volunteer use.
Keep in mind that everything in nature is cyclical. Mangoes are seasonal, and so are our retreats and educational projects. Activities vary depending on the time of year and the needs of the farm.
That’s why it’s essential to arrive with an open heart and a flexible mindset, ready to embrace life as it unfolds — simple, natural, and deeply rewarding.

Help
If you join us, you can expect to help in the vegetable garden, the orchard, land work, construction, painting, art projects, offiec work and helping on our retreats. We try to fit the tasks to each person to make your time here as interesting as possible whilst keeping in mind the farm's needs too.
You may also teach English to the community and run fun activities for the kids from our nearby school . This depends on our children’s school calendar

Accommodation
We have a separate floor with 2 rooms for volunteers. One room has a 2 single beds with shelves, and the other room has 3 beds and a closet. There is a shared toilet and shower. Sheets, a blanket and mosquito nets are provided. We serve 3 vegetarian meals a day cooked by an amazing chef.
What else ...
During your time off you can go hiking, river swimming (depends on the season) or simply chill out in a hammock. The near-by village (15 min) has shops, restaurants, bars and dancing places.

My experience here was amazing! I got to spend time with Natalia, her family and other volunteers. Natalia was amazing person and her parents were super sweet too. We had a lovely week at Eyal and Natalia's beautiful Mango Plantation. The work was varied, food delicious and daily yoga - a great way to start the day. Lots of lovely animals too and a wonderful bamboo house! Highly recommend, thank you!

During my time on this peaceful, clean, and beautiful farm I took care of the cats and dogs, picked oranges, took care of the garden and flowers, cut the grass, cut metal for the bamboo house construction with an electric handsaw, and painted the fence and bamboo. This was my first workaway experience and it was absolutely wonderful. The finca is breathtaking, the work is engaging but never too intense, and Eyal, Natalia, and the whole family are incredibly kind and welcoming. Many cute animals running around as well.

The carpenter, Faruk, was really patient with me! The house is amazing and the landscape is beautiful. I stayed only 2 weeks, and I wish I could have stayed more!
