  My name is eoghan, Im 38yo and Irish, While traveling over the years I did some work aways myself, some great, some not so great, I really love the idea of the program once the host and the work away are on the same page as each-other. I have had alot of workaways over the years, but not recently as it was a full house with friends living with me, as a friend is away for few months, theres room to host again. My friend william lives with me in the house, in the mobile home my friends cathy and leigh live. I’m a very social person with good sense of humour, I’m easygoing, the house in generally quite chilled through the winter but sometimes I hold parties in house or garden for myself and others. Some hobbies include walking, swimming ,working out, hikes, camping, foraging, music festival. I like to go away quite often on weekends away or holidays, I’ve been trying to learn Spanish the past year also. I have two dogs called shelby and samhain, shelby is a mix of a Great Dane x greyhound, she’s a gentle giant, samhain is a rescue dog that I Got recently, hes a lurcher x staffie mix, hes egar to please and thriving in his new home, also have 2
  outdoor cats, and my friends in the mobile home also have 2 dogs and 2 kittens.

  So I live in south Kilkenny, the area is called glenmore, it’s 15mins from Waterford city, 15 mins drive from Newross in Wexford, It’s very nice quite scenic area, the river Barron passes by the house, there’s wooded areas and loads of really beautiful walks. I bought the house 6 years ago and renovated it, but with a old house, always more work to be done and I’m always coming up with new ideas, the house sits on 3 acres of land, so there’s quite a bit of upkeep. The house is rural, no near by shops or pubs, also no bus service, I drive in and out of town most days that I’m here, if you need anything or to go anywhere this can be arranged most of the time, just need some notice. But just remember it is rural and while I’m at work you will be there alone unless you have your own transportation, i could be gone for upto 3 nights a week. While I’m off I will be happy to take you off and show you around the city and country side, beaches and mountains, also you can tag along with me if I’m doing anything that is of interest of you also. I have two bikes here than can be used by work aways also.

  Help

  I’m looking for one or possible 2 work aways, kind of jobs I need help with include helping with gardening, (cutting grass, weeding, painting, clearing areas, up-styling furniture, cleaning, dog minding while I’m away or working, also dog walking, someone who is into art and can paint, previous work aways have started murials on walls outside, I would like to continue it on. I also have apple tree that I want to make cider out of, that will be more September/October time, I have the brewing kit, just need to figure out how to use it. Also someone with a carpentry background would be ideal, There’s a few outdoor garden projects like ice bath and heated bath I want to complete, Work will always be varied and suit the work away as-well as myself. As the weather in Ireland is very unpredictable, jobs will depend on this most the time. If interested send me a message with what you can do to contribute and we can discuss from there to see would the work away suit us both.

  It would be a great advantage if you spoke Spanish as I am trying to learn, also I could help you improve your English. It would be essential to have basic english if you are coming here so that we could communicate.

  I can offer a warm comfortable private room in the house .
  
  I will provide all the usual foods that I buy for the house, there will be a good variety, they will be shared cooking. if you want alcohol or anything outside of the norm. you can purchase yourself.

  You have to be animal lover and not scared or allergic.
  
  Be able to keep a clean house that works for everyone, be respectful of other living with you
  
  Be eco/environmental friendly, you don’t have to be out hugging trees in the garden, but I try to recycle as much as I can and I’d expect you to do same, be conscious of water/electricity/food wastage, none of these are cheap anymore.
  
  Have a good sense of humor and a good energy about you, I’m sure we will get along fine.
