From the very first moment Mahoka arrived, she brought with her the most beautiful energy and a radiant smile. She is an incredibly supportive person who immediately understands what needs to be done and does it with her whole heart. Together we worked in the garden, where she did an amazing job, and she spent precious time with the kids—playing with them and teaching them how to make origami. They will remember her forever. We also shared a few adventurous excursions together, full of laughter and truly great fun. At home, she was simply wonderful: always helping with cleaning, cooking, and daily tasks, never once without her warm smile. Her miso soup has officially become part of our food plan—it’s unforgettable! Saying goodbye was emotional, with tears in our eyes. We wish her all the very best for her future and truly hope our paths will cross again one day. Arigatō gozaimasu, Mahoka 🙏🏼 You will always have a place in our hearts.

Joining this little family truly was such a good experience, Judith is a super open minded person and really respectful of your space and needs and in general an amazing person to talk to, I had a beautiful room and full access to the kitchen and bathroom with no problems, Maya is a really interesting person if you are into card games or baking then you are in the right place she is super sweet and full of conversation I had zero problems minding her it was mostly after school and weekend work but super flexible as well, Good access to public transport and the nearest shop is a 4 minute walk, Overall I had a very positive time here and would happily recommend to anyone looking for a more relaxed environment and fun friendly people to be around. ♡♡♡

Celestine was great. She came in and did everything brilliantly. She drove safely, mastered the madness in the kitchen and was super helpful. She's smart, reliable, careful, conscientious, eagle eyed and we would recommend her to others. Good luck with your travels, C.

Zuza and Joshua lived in our tiny house in the forest while doing lots of home improvement work in our village house. We loved working and spending time with Zuza and Joshua. They are a super nice couple, and their traits and talents complement each other beautifully. Zuza went all-in with bringing us edible mushrooms from the forest every day, since they were with us at the height of bolete season. They helped slice them and dry them on a string over our stove. Joshua helped Jan with diy work on our yoga studio and making a wooden garden gate from wild branches. Together, they helped us make major strides in beautifying our house. The changes they made for us, have meant a lot for us. I still feel thankful to them every time I open one of those beautiful bright shining doors! They both came up with ideas and initiatives and were really committed. We also spend cosy meals together, had honest and heartfelt conversations and laughs. The kids also loved spending time with Joshua and Zuza. Thank you and we hope to see you again!

I stayed almost 10 to 12 days . I went in July. I went for the first time as a volunteer. It was a memorable experience. I had a lot of fun with the children. It didn't feel like work.Next time I will definitely go.

My experience at Nina and Steven’s place in Bonogin was amazing, the location is incredible and the nature is amazing in the garden and around the house. I was warm welcomed and felt like in a big community like a family with other people and workawayers together, tasks were either gardening or cleaning the guesthouse after guests checkout. Weekly amount of hours was 20 but the days were very flexible as long as the work was done. I shared the room with a couple other people and I had a very wonderful time with the other workawayers and felt very grateful for that. Nina and Steven were the kindest and helpful people I ever met and their mood was very positive and calm. I had the chance to borrow the car and visit so many beautiful spots around the area and that’s also a plus thing to the overall experience. I wish I stayed longer but I feel it was one of the best times in Australia so far and I’m glad being there for a while.

Kerrie is a real power woman. I stayed for 8 days and had a great time. I had a nice little room with own bathroom, helped with feeding the chickens and dog, gardenwork etc. and we went to several Op Shops together. The area is great for biking and hiking to the top of the mountain, along the river and beaches and close to several shops and cafes/restaurants. Really a nice place where I for sure will come back. The season for the work I went for was over. So there wasn't much work. So I stayed there for 3 days. But now I will definitely go when I get the chance.

I stayed with Paula and Ramon in Calabria for two weeks and I honestly had a really good experience. They are a young couple, easygoing and genuine. From the first day they made me feel comfortable, without any pressure, always respecting my space and time. The atmosphere in the house is calm and authentic, which meant a lot to me. I really appreciated the daily conversations, the shared moments, and their availability whenever I needed something. It was a sincere and positive experience, and I would definitely do it again. I recommend staying with them if you’re looking for a welcoming place and real, down-to-earth people.

Nous avons passé deux semaines agréables avec Melina. Elle a très bien rempli les missions que nous lui avons confiées, dans la maison, au jardin, elle a été super efficace (et ce malgré la pluie et le mauvais temps) ! Elle s'est très bien intégrée à notre mode de vie familiale. Une personne sympathique, agréable et courageuse dans son travail que nous recommandons sans hésitation ! --- We had a wonderful two weeks with Melina. She carried out the tasks we assigned her very well, both in the house and in the garden; she was really efficient (despite the rain and bad weather)! She adapted very well to our family lifestyle. A friendly, pleasant, and hardworking person whom we recommend without hesitation!

Giovanni is a very talented person. He was able to help us on all constructions, he saw our old piano and tuned it and also has good talents in the kitchen, ask for the pasta:) it was also a very important player on the olive tree pruning. We were very happy with Giovanni’s stay at the house and we would definitely host him again. Best of luck in your future projects :)

Shino was only on our farm for a very short time. But we had an interesting cultural exchange and cooked a wonderful Japanese meal for ourselves. She did a reliable and good job working in the stables. I wish Shino a safe trip back to Japan.

Dennis and Daniel are amazing people. We had such a nice connection that I planned to stay only two weeks and ended up staying a month and a half haha They’re super friendly and always up for having a good time. They love taking you around, introducing you to their friends, and making you feel at home. The house is cozy and has everything you need. The best part is how much I learned: fixing scratches, putting up wallpaper, and improving my skills with painting, gardening, and cleaning. I truly recommend staying with them. Thank you so much, "my Daddies" haha I’ll miss you and I hope we meet again soon, in Germany, in Brazil, or somewhere else in the world 🌍❤️

Robyn and Paul are truly wonderful people. I'm honored to know them and grateful to have stayed. The Wilsons Creek property is lush and gorgeous, and Paul is a knowledgable and dedicated conservation guru. They are well-traveled and fascinating people. I felt respected and well-cared for, and the work was clearly defined and well-paced. Thank you so much Robyn and Paul!!! I hope to see you both again sometime.

Katell was a truly wonderful addition to our family, and we were very sad to see her leave. She became part of our daily lives so naturally, and the children absolutely adored her. Our two-year-old daughter, Saoirse, missed her deeply for quite some time after she left, which says everything about the bond they shared. Katell was consistently kind, polite, punctual, patient, and completely trustworthy. Caring for our twin girls, who were only a couple of months old at the time, was a real challenge, yet she handled it with calm confidence and genuine warmth. We will always be enormously grateful to her for the care, kindness, and dedication she showed throughout her time with us. Without any hesitation, Katell has been the very best Workaway we have ever had, and we would welcome her back at any time.

Carlos e sua mae Ro nao tenho palavras suficiente para descreve-los. Nos estendemos seu tempo aqui e eles ainda estao na casa, vao em alguns dias e ja sentirei sua falta. Sao como da familia. Muuuuuito queridos mesmo. Como pessoas sao simples, educados, amorosos, interessados na cultura local, interagindo e buscando se conectar e aprender o idioma local. Observaram bem as regras da casa, mantendo tudo organizado e limpo eo que tornou a convivencia muito facil e fluida. Como voluntarios tambem sem palavras, ele ajudam muito mesmo, sao dispostos, interessados, nao ficam economizando tempo e fazem com animo para realmente ajudar o projeto. em resumo sao pessoas (amigos) que vou levar em meu coracao. desejo muitas maravilhosas historias a voces em sua volta. Aqui foi seu primeiro voluntariado e me sinto honrada em poder ter sido sua anfitria neste momento <3

I stayed with Irene, Rob, Flynn and Eva for a week and had an amazing time. They made me feel like part of the family and I really enjoyed our conversations over dinner. During my stay I got to know loads about self sustainable farming and living and about life in m Australia in general. Rob even took me on a bush walk up the mountain. I really enjoyed my time staying and working at their peaceful property and I would recommend it to anyone.

I stayed with Jenny for a week and had an amazing time. I did some weeding work in here beautiful garden and got to hang out with her and her cute cats. She showed me around Hobart and let me know of all the cool places, took me to see some live music and even on a woldlife rescue. It was the best time. Jenny is a beautiful human being and I would highly recommend staying with her.
