    Description

Hello everyone, we are a small family (me and my daughter) living in Bochum, right in the midst of the roaring Ruhrgebiet, famous for its blend of industrial urban culture and beautiful green landscape.

In our little nest we go about our days with a lot of calmness and consciousness. During the regular week, my daughter attends the nearby Waldorf school, meets with friends or enjoys her sport activities (Judo, swimming). Im self-employed as a coach, and bodywork facilitator. My work centers around holistic living with a very profound focus on deep shadow work.
Integrity and authenticity are at the heart of our family values ... so while there is always the laugh and giggle of a child to be heard, there is also space for tears here.

The little sanctuary we live in is a three-room apartment, designed in the 60ies look, with a cork floor, lots of vintage furniture and many plant friends.

Come stay with us, come home <3

    Help

We would like Workawayers to help out with childcare and light household chores in the afternoon / evening, the way that works for all of us.

My daughter is 9years old, calm and sophisticated. She enjoys a variety of activities, including boardgames or trip to the nearby park. As she is doing her homework at school, the afternoons are really just about the fun part of it =) German is her mother tongue, and she is more and more fluent in English as well. She goes to a Waldorf school, so hands-on play and creativity is part of our vibe.
If you are passionate about food and cooking we would love to get a taste of your food culture (aaand: if you happen to be in the baking business you will be eternally loved by my little one :) )

We offer shared family meals, accommodation (your own cozy room with afternoon sun) in exchange for 15-20 hours/ week. Minimum stay 3 weeks.

    Accommodation

You will have your own room which you share with a dozen or so plant friends :) Of course you will be provided with bedding, towels etc.
As for food: my kitchen is your kitchen. You will have access to groceries (if we are lucky we get our veggies from the awesome demeter organic farm closeby). You are welcome to share our family meals (we eat regularly 2-3x day) or choose to cook your own.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Explore the surrounding of Ruhr-Rhein, with the Uemminger and Kemnader Lake nearby (we have an extra bicycle if you want one), perfect for relaxing.
Go check out the capital city Köln (Cologne), the posh and fancy neighborhoods of Düsseldorf, artsy Essen or the little hidden gem Witten, buzzing with energy. (Did you know that the best club of Europe is in Wuppertal?! And its just a 30min train ride away ;) )
We live in a cute little apartment in a quiet part of town. You reach the S station to go anywhere in Ruhr-Rhein within 7mins. Hurray to German public transport =))
