My stay there was a nice time, the place is beautiful, the farm and the landscapes, even if it was dry season, so I think the place is even more beautiful during the rainy season depends on what you are looking for. But moreover Sharvan and Malvika who own the place and the two locals caretakers are really lovely, they are openminded, they listen to you when needed and they are not into rushing. So it's a really good place to experiment the philosophy of permaculture and see how to create a sustainable lifestyle. Oh and yes the food is delicious 🤤 🙏💚✌️

It was a pleasure to have Margaux with us in the village for 2 weeks. She helped a lot in many different task, and was taking initiatives once she could identified what was needed. She was also well integrated in the local life, smoothly. I highly recomand Margaux !

We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay at Isuru’s family's house. We were so well looked after and fed. We had a private room to ourselves with a net and fan which was lovely. They were opening a restaurant in the premises soon after our arrival so we helped with some preparations such as cleaning, planting trees and setting up the interior. Work was light and done at our own pace which we appreciated. We spent our free time relaxing by the lake, playing games with Isuru’s niece and nephew (they are so sweet!), and were taken to see elephants on the border of the national park. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet workaway in a beautiful setting we highly recommend! Thank you to all the family for looking after us so well.

Well.... be careful once you get there it's hard to leave. The place, the people and the opportunities are just awesome Great community life , soul food, music, miscellaneous stuff and deep discussions.. all I needed real vibes, real life, real spiritualities, real food, sharing .. just COOL <3 The pizzeria is starting very nicely there's a lot of opportunities with that place, the work just makes sense, a lot is happening or can be happening

I stayed one month here, and it was a wonderful time! I already miss Evonne, Darrell and the cute dogs Bruno and Bo. Their place instantly felt like home and a family, it was better than anything I could have wished for, they made my first Workaway experience a special one! Evonne and Darrell are so kind, took good care of me and made sure I get to see some places around Roberts creek! It is amazing to see how far they’ve come with building the campground, it is a wonderful place. Darrell taught me a lot of skills for building stuff or even some logging. I did a variety of jobs- taking the dogs on walks, building stuff, doing creative things, cooking/baking, pulling logs out of the woods, social media… I loved it all!! I hope I can come back soon 🫶🏼 Evonne and Darrell, you are great people!!

Jordan and Will were so kind and helpful with me! They made me feel comfortable right away, even though I had some trouble with the language😬. I loved everything about this wonderful place, from the morning walks, to the cassava porridge, to the panadas with beans I tried in the afternoons by the river, to the sounds of nature that helped me sleep… and there is so much more I could tell about these 24 days with them! I woke up in the morning feeling really at ease. I mainly spent my time keeping company with their amazing kids: the creative Milah, the full of energy Xavi, and the sweet and funny little Jamie. Every day something new made them excited. We cooked Italian dishes, read books, danced, drew, walked in nature... and did so many other things… What can I say except a big thank you for this amazing adventure! Grazieee🫶🏻

C'était notre première expérience workaway mère/fille et ce fut fabuleux ! Être au quotidien avec tous ces amours de chiens et de chats qui ne demandent que de l'affection nous a rempli de joie et de bonheur. Les tâches à realiser sont simples:nettoyer les espaces de vie des chiens et des chats, les nourrir, les soigner, leur donner vitamines, médicaments quand c'est nécessaire, accueillir les touristes, leur faire visiter le refuge et le reste du temps, câliner les animaux 🥰 Ala et Lyndon, les propriétaires, sont vraiment incroyables et très engagés 💞 Ils vont tous nous manquer énormément et spécialement Mango Juice, le petit chat roux que nous parrainons maintenant 💛 Nous espérons revenir !! Merci beaucoup à Ala et Lyndon pour leur accueil 🩷

Jori was a really friendly and relaxed guy. He worked really well and never seemed daunted by any tasks we would ask him to do. I was very sorry to see him go, as was everyone else staying here. Thanks Jori!!!!

We had the pleasure of staying with Jorge and Egla for two weeks in their beautiful casa. We had the most amazing time and didn’t want to leave. Jorge and Egla are both extremely intelligent and kindhearted people. Egla is an amazing chef and very knowledgeable about natural medicine and skincare. Emily and I spoke little to no Spanish and it was never an issue. Egla was always very patient in communicating with us. Jorge is very cheeky and an excellent host. His jokes always had us laughing. Our work consisted of weeding for 4 hours a day in their gorgeous backyard. But we felt like what we gained from this experience was far more valuable than the work we did for them. We feel very grateful to have been welcomed into their home. We cannot recommend this Workaway enough ❤️

It was a pleasure hosting Jake and Maya. They are really good people - hard working, super smart, principled and are both multi-skilled . They were excellent company, real foodies and keen to learn. They asked questions in need, used their initiative, and added real value. It was one of those placements that worked because of who they were, not just because of the work that they did. I have no hesitation recommending both Jake and Maya. They're welcome in my home any time.

i had such a wonderful time with Sona, Cary and their family! they were extremely welcoming and kind from the first second I had arrived. i really enjoyed all the lovely dinners, conversations and laughters we shared together and all the general conditions were more than fair. there was always someone who really cared and i could even join family-gatherings. all in all I Iam super thankful for a short but very beautiful workaway with a beautiful (and inspiring musical) family! A special thanks to Cary who was fun working with in the Garden and to Dan who showed me his awesome Talent on the piano! See you soon guys!🌼🤗

He was one of the best workers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Very hardworking, patient, resourceful, and quite knowledgeable. Thank you for being in my home; you completely transformed it. I highly recommend him; it was an excellent experience.

I stayed with this wonderful family for about three months, and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience in every way. Vanessa is a truly special person: she makes you feel comfortable right away and welcomes you as part of the family from the very first moment. The girls are incredibly sweet, always smiling, friendly, and very mature. It was my first Workaway experience, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. The house is located in the perfect spot: in a quiet and private area, yet close to everything. In just 10 minutes you can reach some of Australia’s stunning beaches, and nearby you’ll find the city, the mountains, the river, and the beautiful Springbrook National Park, which I highly recommend visiting. The work is not complicated at all. It mainly involves housekeeping, driving the girls around, and gardening (Vanessa LOVES plants, so be ready to help her with her beautiful garden!). You also have the pleasure of spending time with two wonderful cats who love cuddles. A bit of flexibility with schedules is required, but the family is equally flexible with you! If you’d like to take a short trip or have personal commitments, they are always extremely understanding and ready to support you. In conclusion, I highly recommend this experience to anyone. They are a beautiful, generous, and kind family who will always make you feel supported and at home. I will truly carry this experience in my heart. 💛

I had a wonderful experience staying with Oswaldo through Workaway. From the very beginning, everything was well organized and clearly managed. Oswaldo was a great host – friendly, fair, and always making sure that volunteers felt comfortable and supported. The room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. I really appreciated the fast and reliable internet connection, which made it easy to stay connected. In our free time, there were plenty of activities to enjoy: access to Netflix, a swimming pool, and games such as pool, table tennis, and foosball. There was also a separate kitchen available for volunteers, which made cooking very convenient. The place itself was peaceful and well maintained. It was located close to a quiet beach that became more lively on weekends, creating a nice balance between relaxation and a social atmosphere. On days off, it was easy to visit a nearby town with a local market, a shopping mall, or another beach. My volunteering experience went very smoothly. Sometimes there was more work when there were more guests, usually on weekends, and at other times there was less work – which felt fair and natural for this type of place. If you are looking for a calm place away from the noise, close to the beach, this is definitely the perfect spot. I highly recommend staying with Oswaldo!

I stayed with Rachael for a week and had a good experience there. I did some weeding, planting, as well as helping put up a small wooden wall for a raised area in the garden. Rachael cooked good food and gave plenty of recommendations of hikes for me to go on in Wellington and just outside of Wellington. She was always ready to help out with anything I needed (e.g. driving me someplace to get a public transportation card) and I felt very welcome at her place.

Visiting the Eco Reserve as a volunteer was a great experiance for me, and I can really recommend it. It's an amazing place to meet nice people and other intresting volunteers. Also the communication with Steve ist Just really relaxed and works good. The Nature around the House, and the rooms to stay are really great. The work was pleasant and not too much, and San Augustin, the nearby town, is very beautiful and has everything you need.
