  • Description

We have a farm with goats, sheep, horses, chickens and terraced gardens. We are there from Tuesday to Friday to give guidance...the rest of the time there are two cowboys that work there everyday, they speak only Spanish.

Its nestled in the cloud forest and is straight out of a storybook! We offer rustic camping in Gomes which are like light weight yurts on the land in exchange 5 hrs a day.
we are terracing, trail making and building a treehouse soon!
Some basic Foods are provided by us such as beans, tortillas, rice, eggs and cheese and some fruit to be prepared by you.

Really if you believe you can help this small organic farm ...bring it up, then Its quite an opportunity to live and learn everything from Spanish to permaculture, soil conservation, animal care and alternative building.

However if you just need a free place to stay and aren't really interested in farming....This isnt it! We are a hard working family doing it right in third world conditions. So Make it count!

We are looking for folks that can commit for at least 1 month and aren't addicts of anything but the good life.
Serious inquiries only and expect a skype meeting to see if we connect Well.
    Harmony and Jai

New project starting in one month so February 15th, 2019!!! ...we are beginning to get our farm headed towards biodynamic and food forest. We are working with an amazing man with lots of experience in biodynamics it is our hope to get together around 8 enthusiastic workawayers to start on key lines. And each month move on to the next stage in creating A biodynamic farm. This could easily be a course that people would pay big bucks to learn. Here we will feed you and house you in hopes of everyone learning! yay!

We Live mostly in the town of Xico our farm is up the hill about 15 min drive away.
The cheese and chocolate are made here in our house in town with the goat milk brought daily on horseback from our farm and a few others nearby. I say this so you will understand that they are two projects separated by a bit of distance.
At the farm we have just completed a sweet little farm house so there is a nice place to stay. there are many goats and sheep and much tree planting and gardening. We go up to the farm a few times a week and there are a few farm cowboys to work with. Also my aging father in law is interested in coming up to work on the nearby gardens and supervise a few days a week. So there is a place, food, guidance and work. But also a bit of solitude. right now there are two work awayers camping there and seems they are happy but perhaps they will travel on in a week or two. So if all of this sounds agreeable to you then by all means come see us.
