Naomi’s place was wonderful during my two-week stay. I did various gardening tasks like weeding, composting, and fruit picking. We worked together with the other woofer, and she always checked to make sure we felt comfortable. The two-hour daily schedule left me plenty of free time, and I felt right at home on her farm. She even taught me tincture-making and shared herb knowledge, which was fascinating. I loved the comfy caravan where I slept and the shed with the kitchen and living area. Thank you, Naomi.

It was a pleasure for me to hang out in this area of the world! And this family is putting in the effort to make it work for everyone. They even made an exception and lent me their car for a day and that even led to me spotting a platypus at the end of the day, unforgettable! Their organic berries are delicious, worth the effort! And with a bit of luck you may get to meet the morning happy circle :) Hope they make it to Europe, in particular to Skandinavia, one day.

I had such a great time at the hostal - definitely one of the best workaways I have done :) the team are super lovely, like a little family, and my Spanish really improved spending a few weeks with them. All of the guests who stay love the place too, so it's a nice job, looking after them. I wish I could have stayed longer! Oaxaca is also a beautiful city to be based in.

We love Stephan! He has been so amazing to have here. He is always ready to help, so capable and handy, creative and crafty, and very easy to get on with. We wish that he would have never left and highly recommend having Stephan at your place.

Gabriele was an excellent workaway. It was like living with a friend. He enjoyed being helpful and contributing. He is energetic and I would wake to see him doing his exercise routine on the deck in the early morning sun. He repaired my outdoor furniture and helped with a few tasks around the house, which I was grateful for. Gabriele has the spirit of contribution and willingness to do his best, except in the kitchen. Sadly he admits he can't cook! He loved engaging with the other workaways here which we knicknamed the kids. Gabriele enjoys life and it is wonderful to be in his company. I would heartily recommend him.

Clem and Tibo were an absolute delight to host and I am so glad they stayed. They were with me for a month and worked consistently and committed time to their tasks. They woke early which was great and went to work before the day got hot. Clem was my pool cleaner and was dedicated to returning the water to sparkling, she listened to instructions and understood well what was needed. She has attention to detail. Weeded areas of the garden, pruned, cleaned, cooked and sorted. Tibo had some experience with handyman tasks and repaired some outdoor furniture, replaced decking boards and then chainsawed, split and stacked a large tree trunk. He knows his way around a tool shed and is a great problem solver. The brought light and laughter into my house with their extrovert personalities,Tibos smiles and Clems indomitable, happy and positive spirit. Together they are a force of nature. I miss their happy faces and would host them anyday.

Mayaan and Nadav are, without exaggeration, an extraordinary couple — the kind of volunteers every host dreams of welcoming. From the very beginning, they demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and genuine commitment. Among of other things, they helped me transform a beautiful house into a fully prepared and welcoming Airbnb space, paying attention to every detail with care and aesthetic sensitivity. Their sense of organization, design, and functionality made a real difference. They don’t just complete tasks — they elevate them. Beyond preparing the house, and do maintenance of other spaces (bar, glamping...), they supported me in several personal projects with enthusiasm and intelligence. They are proactive, solution-oriented, and deeply reliable. But what truly makes Mayaan and Nadav exceptional, however, is who they are as human beings: warm, respectful, easygoing, and simply wonderful to have around. Mayaan and Nadav are also deeply committed to environmental awareness and to the well-being of animals. Their values align beautifully with a sustainable project like ours. You can feel that their care for the planet is not theoretical — it is part of how they live. Hosting them was not only helpful — it was a privilege. I love you soooooooo much, guys.

The time I spent with Matias and his family was truly joyful, fulfilling, and shining every single day. It was something very special to me. Even though my Spanish was still limited and many of the tasks were completely new to me, Matias and Karen were always kind and patient, teaching me so many things with care. Not only about the work, but also about their life experiences, life in Chile, the culture, and raising their daughters — they shared everything with such generosity. They also listened to my stories with genuine interest. I had so much fun playing with Eli and Abi until it got dark and cold, and learning Spanish from them. I will never forget cutting onions with Karen while I had tears in my eyes, being praised by Matias for hammering nails well, holding Eli’s hand and going to the bathroom together so many times, and playing rock-paper-scissors over and over again with Abi. My heart is full of these beautiful memories. Living together with this family, I learned not only from their words, but also from their example they set— their sincere passion for their farm, the way they truly value each and every person connected to their work and daily life, and the deep love they give to their children. As a someone who is pursuing a career in agriculture, and also as a person, I deeply respect both of them from the bottom of my heart. I feel so lucky and grateful that I was able to meet Matias, Karen, Eli, Abi, Cony, Mr AA, the Chiquititas. I truly hope to come back again.

Thank you Caro, Nico, Angele and Leonie for my first ever workaway experience! I could only come for a few days on my road trip and you guys weren't really available for a workaway experience but you opened your beautiful and cozy home for me nonetheless and I truly appreciate that! You made me and my dog, Nala, feel so comfortable and at home. Nicos food is delicious and the girls are so special. Truly beautiful family! The "work" I was happy to support them with was some cleaning and gardening but really didn't make up for the warm welcome, the food and the kindness I was received with. I didn't really know what to expect of my first ever workaway experience but to say I was positively surprised would be an understatement. Wonderful open and warm family! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Thank you for having me and Nala. It meant a lot!

I had the pleasure of working with Mish, Nige and other Workawayers at this place. I couldn’t have wished for better hosts than Mish and Nige! From day one, they made everyone feel so welcome. I really appreciated how close they seemed to be with nature and how they embraced Māori culture. Mish spoilt us with her delicious food and made sure we had enough to eat. Every day's work looked a bit different. One day I helped to weed gorse, while on another I propagated and planted plants. Mish made sure to accommodate everyone's interests and energy levels on the day. I learnt a lot from her about native plants, how to prepare and plant them, and conservation in general. I didn’t spend much time with Nige because he was often busy trapping animals and hunting with his dog, Ash, but some of us helped him build trails. When we did speak, however, we had some really interesting conversations, and he shared his wisdom about conservation work with us all. I stayed in a really cool, comfortable outdoor cabin with another Workawayer. After work, we had time to explore the property, which had great waterholes for swimming and a platform for doing yoga. There were nine of us, which is unusual, but I had the best time with them. Thank you, Mich and Nige, for bringing me closer to nature! I already miss sleeping outside like that!

Karina & Santi are a sweet Family and I had a very good time here. The house is near the sea within walking distance and near by are nice hiking tracks to explore as well. Gracias Karina y Santi for sharing your home and lovely moments together.

Paula stayed with us for one month in November/Dec and we were very fortunate to have her relaxed and motivated spirit accompany us in our work and life. Being the only volunteer at the time she took on many tasks by herself willingly and completing them joyfully, asking for more! Obviously this kind of attitude is very appreciated by us, but her kindness and openness really created a nice situation in general. Not to mention our 2 yr old son completely fell in love with her and still asks about her 3 months later ;)

We spend one week together with Erik at his place in the middle of Swedens nature. The work was definitely appropriate and he showed us lots of different things. We had lots of interesting and funny conversations with him and really enjoyed the shared meals every day. It was a nice, cosy stay. Thank you very much, Erik! Du bist a #urleiwonda Typ!

We had the pleasure to spend 10 days with Eldrid and helped to paint her apartment. Eldrid is such an lovely, open-minded and optimistic woman, who hosted us with all her heart. She showed us around the area, we got to meet some of her friends and she even took some trips with us! It was an amazing time! Thank you for everything! All the best!

We spend about one week with this lovely family and we are so grateful for getting to know them. They welcomed us with open arms and we felt like part of the family straight from the beginning! The three boys are very energetic, adventurous and so lovely! We feel like we got to know the culture really well, as we had lots of interesting conversations with Santa and Arturs. Every day was different and they took lots of trips with us. Thank you very much for all the adventures we could experience with you! All the best for all of you!
