    Description

We are a highly rated moose park with a campsite and canoe centre. At our moose park we offer high-quality tours led by passionate moose guides providing some of the best information and interaction with moose in Sweden. We also have a small river-side campsite and canoe hire centre where guests are encouraged to explore and experience nature. We are offering a salary higher than minimum wage.

    What we are looking for:

We are looking for summer staff between May and September 2026. We need a minimum commitment of two months. Our peak time is July and August. Must be from EU or right to work in Sweden.

    Benefits:
Monthly salary after personal taxes 10,000kr.
    Free Accommodation provided.
    Shared car provided.
Fair use of our canoes and other outdoor equipment!

What type of person should apply:

We are currently looking for welcoming enthusiastic team player(s) that can help us with general work at our moose park including shop work and some cleaning.

You will also be helping us at our canoe hire centre and campsite where the work will include reception work, cleaning and garden maintenance.

    Work environment:

The work will be varied and in a beautiful setting. The moose park is located between dense forests, lakes and rivers, and our campsite is located directly on the banks of the famous Klarälven river! The atmosphere is relaxed and we offer room and board for the duration of your stay, lots of free time and the use of a shared car to explore the area!

You will be helping us with general work around the park including caring for the animals, collecting vegetation, helping with habitat maintenance, assisting with general repairs and working in our souvenir shop. If you have a driving licence you may also be helping us with driving from time to time! Whatever you are doing you will be an important part of the team!

We will try to match your work to your skills/interests.

    - We ideally need staff for three months starting May/June until the end of August. Shorter stays will also be considered.

    - English speaking is essential. Swedish and German is desirable.

    - A driving licence is an advantage (not essential).

If you are interested please reply to this post.

    Kind regards,

As a Workawayer with us you'll expect to learn a lot about Nordic nature, wildlife, environmental issues and caring for animals. We also have a strong conservation message at the Moose Park and we like to pass a little of that on to our Workawayers.

You'll also meet some great new people, make friends, experience Nordic life and have some fun. You will be given plenty of free time to relax, explore the area and do whatever you like. We will also plan group activities to do in the area! As well as the moose park we have a canoe hire centre so you can borrow and canoe and explore the place whenever you're free!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

This place is often called Sweden in miniature and it certainly lives up to that in many ways. With a population density of only 17/sq km compared with about 395/sq km in Netherlands and England, it’s a comparatively peaceful and quiet place to be. It offers great nature, vast areas of forest with river valleys carving though the hills and lowlands. The region is home to many species of birds and animals including beaver, elk, bear, wolf and lynx. Even the elusive wolverine has been spotted on rare occasions in the forests around Ekshärad in recent years.
Come at the right time and you will find wild food in abundance, mushrooms, lingon, blueberries, cloud berries to name but a few.
