    Description

We are a couple of people who live most of the year in Torrskog - a parish in midsouth Sweden. The area is sparcely populated and surrounded by lakes, forests and some farms.
The farm is situated close to to the lake Lelång and is divided in some old loghouses with different functions inclusive some newer workshop and barn. We are even fiber connected so there is WIFI internet that provides homeoffice working for some of us.
Two years ago I started to cultivate an endemic hop breed and last year I finished the hopgarden; so this year I`m on to just focus on the plants and to get the first harvest. The cultivation itself is organic, extensive and adopted to all the different circumstances that dominate in that area. That means also that the maintenance of the hops is quite a lot of manual work and needs some time. So help with the cultivation and maintenance of the hops is currently the main issue. But here is even always to do some renovation with those really old houses (one is from 1750-ies) ore some other farm work.
Last but not least, most of those who hang around at the farm speak German, Swedish and English.

What you gonna learn is to observe nature and learn from it... and learn to know plants, especially hops. And you will even learn some about to maintain and restore old loghouses and a lot of other stuff that pops up when you live close to nature. Beside that it´s a very nice area to learn to know the swedish countryside off from tourism and civilization. There are lakes and forests and people with a certain easygoing way to live. Then we cook mostly with organic regional products and brew beer from time to time as we even have a local brewery. And when its not too windy we lay out fishingsnets to provide food for everybody. So you gonna learn a plenty beside hopcultivation.

I have started to cultivate an endemic hop breed in a sparcely populated area in midsouth Sweden. The help I need is primary the maintenance, cultivation and harvesting of the hop plants. The work itself is medium hard ;-). some love for nature and some physical work. Its not required to work everyday but you need to be on standby most of the days because you never know if nature asks for intervention. In the end it is always a very funny work with nice afterwork evenings. And because we live in old log -farmhouses there is always work if demanded, needed or wanted.
