I spent almost a week at Steen's little cabin right next to the fjord and it was a truly amazing experience! He is very nice, communicative and smart person who you can really share interesting conversations with:) During my stay I was able to visit Copenhagen and the Viking museum in Roskilde, he also showed me the marina in another small city and really went above and beyond to make my stay confortable and memorable. I really wish him all the best and also to his daughters, and thank him for the opportunity to explore Denmark from his little peace of heaven. I hope we see each other in the future

Cannelle stayed with me for a week, and it flew by! She is great company, and we had a lot of fun together and great chats. She did everything I asked and more happily and efficiently. I strained a muscle while she was staying, and she went above and beyond to be helpful while I was sore. She is great with animals, and my two cats loved her! I would happily welcome Cannelle back!

I stayed two weeks as workaway, it was my first experience and I jut arrived in New Zealand. Jenni and Automn are very open minded. When I felt sad I felt safe to share my emotion and they supported me. I felt solidarity, it's was great to share about our personal life during the greats meals we shared together. they also take me when they went away The land is very beautiful, nice views and kinds animals. The caravane is cosy, confortable, I loved watching the stars from the window. There is a beautiful and peaceful bush. Work was successful, I leaned lot of things and tasks was différents. I'm happy to plant banana tree :). I think if you come in couple or with your car it can be great option for you. if you're good to be alone and far from city it's th place for you, you can enjoy and take time for you. I will remind of lovely moments with Jenni Automn Vienna and the animals in this land in Ōkaihau.

I had the most amazing time here and wish I could have just stayed forever! The way the students are able to just be unapologetically themselves and know the teachers will encourage and support them was so refreshing to see, and I just know the graduates are making a real difference in the world. The teachers and staff, too, were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, and so passionate about what they do. Everywhere I went, there were people willing and eager to invite me in, to talk with me despite my terrible Japanese, to be patient with me, and to learn about me and my home. The staff who coordinate the volunteers were the most wonderful people too, great communicators and so easy to get along with and have fun with, along with being incredibly helpful in day-to-day life. I can't emphasise enough how kind everyone was, it was a truly special part of my trip. The work I did was more than fair - lunchtime and afternoons were spent on campus interacting with the students (at a few different campuses) and joining in with the classes, while mornings and evenings were generally free, except the day I did a cooking class in the evening which was a ton of fun, and sometimes the mornings were used as travel time for the more distant campuses (even then only from about 10:00). All hours were communicated in advance so it was easy to plan things like sightseeing after work hours, especially visiting spots that were close to each campus and the like. I also had one day that I was scheduled doing some cleaning around the house instead of visiting campus, and it was very straightforward cleaning with all equipment and instructions etc provided. I already miss them sorely, and I hope to visit again very soon!

We are very thankful to have had Seb with us for three months. He helped us greatly with many of the daily tasks around the house. He also had a wonderful approach with the children — he played a lot with the younger ones and was always available for a chat or French lessons with the teenagers. His experience as a traveler amazed most of the young people, and the classes we organized for sharing his stories were broadening and truly inspiring.

Rita, Francis and little Santiago were an absolute delight to share daily life. Maybe because both families share this way of seeing life that is rare nowadays, like a community, and is all about seeing each other all the time and each other needs. I never had to ask anything, they would just know when we needed help in anything. They were doing all kind of things: heavy work outside (woodfire, digging, etc), taking care of the veggie garden, cleaning the chicken coop with us, cleaning the house, helping with laundry, taking care and playing a lot with my daughter, taking care of the animals, cooking delicious meals for the whole family, teaching piano, so many things I might forget something... Not only that, but we also had really rich moments, were our children were playing together (my daughter truly learned sharing and caring with Santiago), great conversations by the fire, fullfilling shared meals, singing and playing music, dancing, short trips, cooking together. Well, it's hard to say in words how this family is special. (And we also highly reccomend them as workawayers). Thank you Rita, Francis and Santiago for all the help, the kindness, the company. Thank you for showing us such a light and beautiful part of life! Our family wishes you a successful journey in this new chapter of your lives. Hope you can come back one day! Never forget you will be always welcome here as part of our family!

I stayed with Souari and Liam at Rainbow Beach and had an amazing experience. Souari and Liam gave me a lot of knowledge about Australia and tips for my travels. They were super helpful, friendly and kind. I stayed there for a week and mostly did work related to cleaning and helped to look after their two lovely boys. Their house is near the beach and the whole area is super nice and quiet. I would recommend staying with them 😊

Anton is a special man, very strong, educated, energetic and intelligent. He did a professional job helping me to do several works in the house, in particular to repair the rain water drainage channel to avoid my house getting flooded during the rainy season. He was not worried about getting his hands dirty and everything turned out perfect. After the work he was cleaning and getting all tidy and in a perfect order, I was really pleased by how easy it was to communicate with him and have things done exactly the way I wanted. He never complained and appreciated the simple things I have to offer here. Anton was also a pleasant travel and entertainment companion, very sweet with my kid and the dogs, we will miss him a lot. I highly recommend accepting his application as a volunteer, it will be a blessing.

We had a wonderfull volontering time with Diki. We spent one week and didn't have time to get borred ! Classes are on the afternoon so it was great to have a routine to wake up early, do some nice activities, and take little rest before class. Studends are lovely and it was so nice to share with them. We split the classroom in two groups ( one each) Diki and his mate Remal was around if the kids didn't understand what we said. Diki made sure that we get everything, he took us to very specificial places, as much for food as for culture, he knows a lot about his island !! It was really nice to be with local people, live the real indonesian life 🌿 Thank you Diki and all your team Sampai jumpa lagi ☀️

I am a little late in leaving feedback for Marion. I am so sorry, Marion. But that by no means detracts from Marion's work while she was with us. She is a really lovely person and an excellent worker. In fact she has been the best we have had and we have had some really good people!! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any work at all. She has a huge capacity for learning new jobs. She is very willing to do anything (in the work line) you ask of her and always does her very best to learn anything new. She is a very happy person with an enormous way of giving her best. I could go on and on but it is sufficient to say that you will NOT regret having Marion stay with you. She is a very happy and charming individual and also gets on well with anyone else who is in the house. Our animals loved her and we lost them to her lap. She does know her weeds and I entrusted her with my beloved garden with complete confidence that she would always query a plant if she was unsure. Her housework was exemplary and quickly done. She is the only workawayer that we have had who got up after dinner, collected our plates and did the washing up, benches all cleaned and spotless after she had finished. If we could have, we would have kept her for ever!!! Thank you, Marion you are one in a million! We miss you so very much and if you have time to come back and want to, you will be very welcome. Even if to stay for a while before you go home.

Alex was a great guest. He cooked a delicious risotto, was always punctual to start work, did a good job whippersnippering, weeding & wrestling with the garden, & was a pleasant house companion.

My stay with Michael and the crew was everything one could dream of for a first real Workaway. Katsuura and the area is just beautiful and the ocean right outside of the front door is something I already miss. I stayed there for 6 weeks in October and November with my friend and can look back with very fond memories. My whole time there was very relaxing and grounding. The things we got to do were social media content for the Airbnb, maintain the beautiful house, various things in the greenhouse, prepare for the Thanksgiving celebrations (never thought I’d experience an American Thanksgiving in Japan) and clear the beautiful beach from an insane amount of trash. The work rhythm was not rushed at all and we complete the projects in our own way with our own creativity. Even though Katsuura is fairly small and calm, it has so much to offer and the locals are super friendly. Connecting with Michael, fighting with Kit Kat over the chairs in the kitchen and eating delicious fresh seafood was an experience I will remember forever and hold dear in my heart. Thank you Michael for letting us be a part of your community, you made it feel like family. Hope to come back some day!

This was my very first Workaway experience, and honestly, I couldn’t have wished for a better start. Even though I only stayed for one week, they left such a deep and lasting impression on me. I really wish I could have stayed longer. From the moment I arrived, , I felt so warmly welcomed by this beautiful family. After a long and sometimes overwhelming period of traveling, they gave me something I really needed: a place to slow down, rest, and feel at home again. During my stay, I helped in the kitchen where I could, and they taught me so many new things with patience and kindness. It never really felt like “work”, it felt like spending quality time together, sharing moments, learning, and laughing. I also loved spending time with the children, who brought so much joy and energy to my days. What touched me most is how much they genuinely care. They care about people, nature, their culture, and the environment around them. They are very committed to living in an ecological way and also helping their community learn and grow in more sustainable ways, which I found very inspiring. They help wherever they can, and even after I left, they continued to support me with advice and kindness, which meant a lot to me. I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and for the warmth they shared with me. It was such an enriching cultural experience, and I learned a lot about their way of life, traditions, and daily routines. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying with them to anyone looking for a meaningful, authentic, and heartfelt Workaway experience. Thank you for everything!

I stayed at the farm for 2 and a half weeks and was such a great experience! i was very well taken cared of and was able to learn so much about aggriculture for a sandy/desert area of india. Wonderful experience with this energetic amazing family. From the word go they just fitted into our busy family. While the kids were not expected to work they have the same work ethic as their can do parents. Keisuke and Kurimi just go so much work done for us. Painting, gardening, landscaping just to name a little in the one month we hosted. We would of loved to have had longer as our kids just got on so well together and it was sad breaking the fellowship!!! Our Cottage was well looked after and was left cleaner than before. Really highly recommended and we have nothing negative to say at all..Thank you so much for helping us and been a part of our family and farm!!!

Phie stayed with us for just over a week and was a lovely addition to the household. She was great fun to be with, was kind and inclusive with other visitors and was helpful around the kitchen always willing to help out with food preparation and other chores. She had lots of energy and enthusiasm for both her Workaway chores and also making good use of her time to explore the local area. Phie was happy to try new things and although she had no previous experience of bees was a great help with my honey harvest and the honey extraction process. She was also flexible with her hours worked doing some longer days ( with shorter hours to compensate on other days) to ensure that we visited all the hives to collect the honey. She also cooked us a delicious soup with lots of lovely extras. We really enjoyed Phie’s company, highly recommend her and she is welcome back anytime.
