Description
During the summer months we are looking for trusted people to take care our animals (dogs, cats and chickens). We will stay abroad from May until next autumn. Our resort offers a fully furnished kitchen to use, a 2 people bedroom chamber behind the restaurant, hot shower and washing machine.
There is local family in our village, which can support you with the basic needs in the countryside, fill our water tank and make sure everything goes on well. You might also get the chance to plant/harve the rice or learn about some other cultural or traditional work.
To reach our place we have some taxi driver contacts, or there are car/motorbike rental places in Luang Prabang. You can also use the app LOCA to book a private driver.
About us/our place
Our vision to create a place where people come together and have a lovely time finally came truth with our small, familiar homestay resort. During the past few weeks every guest and volunteer left their unique, great trace in our community resort.
We are a family of five, spent 15years living in Switzerland and in 2023 we decided to experience with our kids the laotian part of our family roots. Luang Prabang and especially the countryside became our new home. We walk our path with an open mind and a heart for people, animals and nature.
Sustainability, a conscious use of environmental resources and making a contribution to the waste problem in Laos are matters close to our hearts.
Our place is about 50min outside Luang Prabang centre, in a small village surrounded by rivers and rice fields.
We hope you will love our home, the animals and countryside life as much as we do.

You can learn Laos countryside life, stay with the villagers, see how the traditional rice farmers work and live.
Help
We require somebody who is responsible and able to take care of our animals and our home. You will have support from another local family but you should be able to manage on your own and not mind solitude. If you enjoy peace and quiet and life with nature you will be happy here.
We need help from May till Autumn, while we are away in Switzerland. This time will be the rainy season in Laos. We have a washing machine and a warm airing cupboard, you should be comfortable here.

Behind the kitchen area we have a bedroom with two beds.
What else ...
There are some nice hiking paths you can reach just behind our resort.
You can reach our place, when you rent a motorbike or a car in town. Or you book a Loca driver.
If you like, you are very welcome to do some gardening, there might be a vegetable patch or just clean the weeds off the walking paths.
