Arthur and Amelie's staying made a good memories with my team. Arthur is funny and eager to try new things, Amilie is more calm. They worked carefully and always want to help. They cooked for us before leaving, and it was very good experience.

Anna is lovely girl and always try her best. She is open, easy to make friend and ready to explore new things.

Paula is cheerful, positive, honest and very hands-on. Just give her a task and she'll do it🙂 She's very good with children too Easy to be around with and good company too.

Kornelia stayed with us for two weeks. She is kind and responsible and has a big heart for children. Very hands-on and always ready to help whenever and wherever needed.

C'était notre première expérience workaway mère/fille et ce fut fabuleux ! Être au quotidien avec tous ces amours de chiens et de chats qui ne demandent que de l'affection nous a rempli de joie et de bonheur. Les tâches à réaliser sont simples: nettoyer les espaces de vie des chiens et des chats, les nourrir, les soigner, leur donner des vitamines, les médicaments quand c'est nécessaire, accueillir les touristes, leur faire visiter le refuge et le reste du temps, câliner les animaux 🥰 Ala et Lyndon, les propriétaires, sont vraiment incroyables et très engagés 💞 Ils vont tous nous manquer énormément et spécialement Mango Juice, le petit chat roux que nous parrainons maintenant !! Merci beaucoup à Ala et Lyndon pour leur accueil 🩷

The stay with him is intentionally simple. I lived there myself for a longer period of time and truly valued the experience. Especially enriching are the deep conversations you can have with him. He is open-minded, helpful, humorous, and very communicative. The place is heated with a cozy wood stove, and the hot water is traditionally warmed with wood as well. Those seeking conventional comfort should be aware that a rather Spartan lifestyle is embraced here. Thanks to his easygoing nature, you feel welcome and well taken care of. Thank you for the time, Stephan. --- German Der Aufenthalt bei ihm ist bewusst einfach.Ich habe selbst längere Zeit dort gelebt und die Erfahrung sehr geschätzt. Besonders bereichernd sind die tiefgründigen Gespräche, die man mit ihm führen kann. Er ist offen, hilfsbereit, humorvoll und sehr kommunikativ. Geheizt wird mit einem gemütlichen Holzofen, und auch das warme Wasser wird traditionell mit Holz erwärmt. Wer Komfort im klassischen Sinne sucht, sollte wissen, dass hier ein eher spartanischer Lebensstil gepflegt wird. Durch seine umgängliche Art fühlt man sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Une semaine passée auprès de Demelza et ses animaux, nous a permis d effectuer notre première expérience en NZ. Notre mission : repeindre le toit de la maison et différents travaux de jardinage. Demelza a su nous fournir le matériel adapté et les explications claires. En échange, nous avons apprécié le logement et la bonne cuisine de Demelza et aussi celle de Chloé sa fille. Merci pour ce bel échange. Le barbecue sur la plage restera un excellent souvenir. Nous recommandons Demelza pour une experience simple et conviviale.

Ivana only stayed with us for a month, but she immediately started working to figure out how she could help me around the house and with the girls. She's very organized, and she wrote down everything so she wouldn't forget anything. Ivana played mostly with Linda because Raquel was very busy with her homework. Linda had fun with her and definitely learned a lot of new Spanish words. I also feel like I've improved a lot in Spanish and I'm happy to have had this experience. I would say it was another positive experience and I also feel more confident in the Spanish language! :-)

The week with Jonathan was wonderful. He is a very kind person, and I didn’t lack anything. I really enjoyed making music together and our conversations. I’m looking forward to seeing each other again. Warm regards to you and your family. ☀️

We stayed 1 and a half week with Sofie, and we immediately had a good feeling with her. She is really kind and helpful. We helped her at home with gardening and maintenance. She's open to listen your ideas and reactive. We enjoyed the good place where she lives, close to the beach and we could use the bicycles to visit around. Thank you very much Sofie for everything, we had a great experience with you 😊

Klaudia is delightful. She was our first Workawayer although we had many au pairs over the years. She was motivated and flexible with work. She was able to take initiative and follow instructions. She was easy going and personable. We enjoyed having her and she made our load easier when we had such a lot going on. I would highly recommend her to other families or organisations considering her. She is welcome back anytime.

Jeanne is so calm and relaxed, in the best way, that everybody around her feels very well. It was very pleasant to share our daily routine with her. She is a teacher who loves to learn 😉. In spite of her short staying at our farm we became good friends. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda Jeanne!!

Diane is a wonderful person to be around, always helpful, a great negotiator, and someone with a special eye for the little details that make a big difference. What I really appreciated is how proactive she was: she suggested new things to do and brought fresh ideas, and even when I didn’t have a clear plan of where to start, she stepped in with her own initiative and innovative approach.

Where to start.. I have spent 2 incredible weeks at the centre, but I wish I could have stayed longer. I will come back, hopefully even more times. This is a truly unique and wholesome experience, seeing and taking part in the everyday lives of the nuns, the helping hands and the animals around them. The centre itself is beautiful, green, surrounded by mountains but so close to Ban Rai. I though Ban Rai is a small village, but its quite big, you can find anything you need and it is really autentic and charming. The nuns are bringing peace and joy with them wherever they go. Their brightness, humbleness, peacefulness sticks to you, and you truly feel honoured and grateful for the experience to live among them, and help them however you can. The tasks are simple, easy, meditating, giving a good frame and structure for the days. They are not demanding, you can have a lot of freetime to dedicate to yourself, or if you wish, be around the other volunteers and create a lovely community vibe. Everybody was incredibly kind and welcoming, both the nuns, the helpers, the locals and the volunteers. You can learn so much even in 2 weeks about Theravada buddhism, trust me it can be a life -or at least a perspective-changing experience.:) So many special moments, ceremonies we had there, like collecting the alms with the nuns, witnessing an ordination of two nuns, buddha days, teaching english to nuns and visiting the local school to teach english. Its only been a week since I left, but I think about going back every single day. I am grateful for this and my heart is full of joy when I think about my time there. Khop khun kaa to all, for all, but especially to the nuns for providing this chance to experience something truly beautiful and wholesome.

Natalia was an absolute pleasure to host and work with. From the very beginning, she was friendly, respectful, and full of positive energy. She quickly understood her responsibilities and completed every task with care, attention to detail, and dedication. She is hardworking, reliable, and always willing to help beyond what was expected. Her attitude made a real difference in our daily routine, and she blended in beautifully with everyone around her. Communication was easy and smooth throughout her stay. I truly appreciated her contribution on her painting project here and would happily welcome her back anytime. I highly recommend Natalia to any future host — she will definitely be a valuable addition to your project!

Mikkel and my family survived on 30km/hour windy and snowy night in Ulaanbaatar area. We worked happily to feed our cows by hay and played by snow and shovel in 1-3rd March 2026.

What a great experience! This was my first workaway experience and it could not have been better! Nathan is very kind, genuine and easygoing. The circumstances where a little tricky, which made the experience even more interesting. Let me explain: Portugal had the most extreme storm right before I got to the Quinta. There was no electricity and no phone signal. Nathan drove to another city to contact me and let me know. It was up to me if I still wanted to come, but he didn't know when the power was going to be back on. Now of course I had some initial doubts but after reading all the great reviews on workaway I decided to trust and go anyways. A day before I arrived the power came back on! In the whole process Nathan was great at communicating with me. While being there the power cut out multiple times, sometimes all day: due to heavy rain and the storm damage. By that time I was already there and it was a once in a lifetime kind of experience. Cooking in the dark with a flashlight, having dinner and playing games with a bunch of candles. Nathan owns a beautiful property that needs some love and care. While I was there the B&B was closed for guests. We had enough jobs to do and Nathan was good at communicating what he wanted done and how. Also about the hours (4 hours a day, 5 days a week) and days off (every week you could choose which days). There were daily tasks like feeding the pets and collecting eggs from the chickens and bigger jobs like fixing a fence, creating a railing for a bridge, garden work or work on the terrace. I've learned a lot how to work with certain tools and it was a lot of fun! It was the perfect first workaway experience! I've met some really nice other workawayers over there and it felt like we were a good team! As I've continued to travel now, I already miss the meals we shared, the games we played and the laughs we had. If you have the chance to go for a few weeks and experience something unique, then definitely send a message to Nathan! Thank you very much Nathan for being a great host, trustworthy and kind! I'll have to come back one day to finally perform in the Quinta band!

Super contento con la estancia de Álex en casa, es una persona súper educada y respetuosa, tuvimos muchas conversaciones muy interesantes, y realizamos muchos trabajos en casa durante su estancia,muy trabajador, cualquier cosa que le propusiera hacer contestaba si con una sonrisa!! Volvería a repetir 1000 veces más!!!
