    ABOUT OUR PLACE
Our place is a small home in the forest. We bought the place in 2012 and lived there for 5 years before having to give up and move away beacause of difficult circumstances . The year 2021, was a big deal for us, because we are finally moved back to Lunnaberg to build a tiny house to live in permanently!

There is both chaos and beauty at our place. Chaos coming from a bit of a break down a few of years ago, that left Lunnaberg in a rather broken down state of being. The beauty comes from the wonderful place, the beautiful old trees, the peaceful energy and the feeling of a place full of life and potential. There is an old timber frame cottage from 1821 that has seen its better days. We have now returned to Lunnaberg and started rebuilding the place into a new home for us. All the time in accordance with nature and the spirit of the place. There is a start of a food forest and vegetable garden, which will expand in the future.

    ACCOMODATION AND FOOD
The accomodation is in small separate buildings. There is one cozy caravan, that can have 1-2 people, and one wooden cabin that can also have 1-2 people.
There is also another caravan which we all share, as a place to cook and hang out, and to keep warm if the wheather is bad. On the farm there is electricity, cold water and an outdoor compost toilet. There is a very simple outdoor shower. There is also a swiming lake 10 minutes walk away. There is wifi. We are aiming for 2-4 volunteers at the same time during the summer, and 1-2 volonteers in spring and autumn. You will have access to a washing machine to do your laundry.

Most of the cooking is done outdoors over the fire or on our portable electric stove. We all help and take turns doing the cooking. We will eat a joined meal during the day. In the evening we might want to spend some alone time with our family. On those nights you tend to your own cooking together with the other volonters (we provide food of course). Lunnaberg is a vegan place (although of course you are welcome what ever you eat :) ).

    THE WORK
There are two focus areas; eco buildning and gardening/food forest.
Our main goals this year is to keep building our tiny house and to expand our veggie garden and food forest!

Last year we finished buliding most of the house, but there are still quite a few details left to build this year. The house is built in ecological materials, on a fairly tight budget with a mix of new and second hand materials.

We aim at having about 2-4 volonteers at a time during summer, and we welcome you who think it would be fun to learn about building, eco construction, growing your own food, permaculture, and to connect with nature.

The work will be quite intense and hard sometimes, but sometimes very relaxed and a bit unstructured. We think it is important to have fun, both while working and to take breaks to see the surroundings or just hang out and relax.

There is already a food forest started, and a permaculture design under progress. We will also start a veggie garden this year.

New for this year: If you happen to know how to sew, you are also welcome to help us mend our big pile of clothes that seem to be forever increasing in size :) (we have a really good sewing machine).

There is also the posibility to be creative, and if we and you have the energy for it we might build an outdoor fire-heated bathtub, a garden shower, or continue creating our outdoor kitchen. We are very happy for you to bring new ideas into the place! We are beginners at what we do, learning as we go along. We are happy to share with you what we know, and keep learning together.

We ask that you work approximately 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Sometimes we are away/busy with paid work, family stuff etc, so sometimes you will have to work on your own/with the other volonteers.

    INSURANCE
We ask that you take responsibility for your own insurance to cover illness, injuries etc while in Sweden.

    ABOUT US
We are a family of two adults, two children (aged 11 and 7), one dog and two cats. We are kind and happy people. We are artists in the areas of music, photography, poetry and dancing. We love nature and gardening and natural buildning.
We really enjoy meeting people from around the world, and sharing our space and life for a short time. Every volonteer that has spent time at our place has left an impression and made our world a little bit wider. We are amazed and so grateful at how cool and magical it can be to connect in this way. And of course, getting hands on help with projects is fantastic. We always try to make the work inspirational and learning for the volonteers.

    Lunnaberg is a LGBTQ-friendly place.

    THE AREA AROUND LUNNABERG
