    ABOUT OUR PLACE
Our place is a small home in the forest. We bought the place in 2012 and lived there for 5 years before having to give up and move away beacause of difficult circumstances . The year 2021, was a big deal for us, because we finally moved back here to build a tiny house to live in permanently!

There is both chaos and beauty at our place. Chaos coming from a bit of a break down a few of years ago, that left this place in a rather broken down state of being. The beauty comes from the wonderful place, the beautiful old trees, the peaceful energy and the feeling of a place full of life and potential. There is an old timber frame cottage from 1821 that has seen its better days. We have now returned here and started rebuilding the place into a new home for us. All the time in accordance with nature and the spirit of the place. There is a start of a food forest and vegetable garden, which will expand in the future.

    ABOUT US
We are a family of two adults, two children (aged 12 and 8), one dog and two cats. We are kind and happy people. We are artists in the areas of music, photography, poetry and dancing. We also meditate alot and enjoy connecting with nature, and to play and be creative together. We love nature and gardening and natural buildning.
We really enjoy meeting people from around the world, and sharing our space and life for a short time. Every volonteer that has spent time at our place has left an impression and made our world a little bit wider. We are amazed and so grateful at how cool and magical it can be to connect in this way. And of course, getting hands on help with projects is fantastic. We always try to make the work inspirational and learning for the volonteers.

    This is a LGBTQ-friendly place.

    ACCOMODATION AND FOOD
The accomodation is in small separate buildings. There is one cozy caravan, that can have 1-2 people, and one wooden cabin that can also have 1-2 people.
There is also another caravan which we all share, as a place to cook and hang out, and to keep warm if the wheather is bad. On the farm there is electricity, cold water and an outdoor compost toilet. There is a very simple outdoor shower (you can heat the water up). There is also a swiming lake 10 minutes walk away. There is wifi. You will have access to a washing machine to do your laundry.

Most of the cooking is done outdoors over the fire or on our portable electric stove. When we work together, we all take turns doing the cooking, and eat a shared meal together during the day. Some days we eat by ourselves with our family and then the volonteers take care of their own cooking. This is a vegan place (although of course you are welcome what ever you normally eat :) ).

We offer free food and accomodation in return for approx 25 hrs work/week.

    THE WORK
This year we are specifically looking for one or two volonteers who will work mainly with building (but also some gardening and maintenance now and then :) ). It is important that you can work independantly a lot, since this year we are not able to join in and work together so much, due to paid work etc. But of course we will all work together quite a bit as well, and we will guide you and show you what to do :)

Last year we finished buliding most of the house, but there are still quite a few details left to build this year. The house is built in ecological materials, on a fairly tight budget with a mix of new and second hand materials. We are also going to build a small hut for a shower, washing machine etc this year.

Coming here is perfect if you are someone who have an interest in building, and who dont mind working independatly sometimes and to take own initiatives.
We love to spend time with our volonteers, and to show you around the area, but since we are also busy with family life, paid work etc, its also good if you dont mind spending time on your own, and connecting with the village life close by etc.

The work will be quite intense and hard sometimes, but sometimes very relaxed and a bit unstructured. We think it is important to have fun, both while working and to take breaks to see the surroundings or just hang out and relax.

There is already a food forest started, and a permaculture design under progress. We will also start a veggie garden this year.

Also: If you happen to know how to sew, you are also welcome to help us mend our big pile of clothes that seem to be forever increasing in size :) (we have a really good sewing machine).

There is also the posibility to be creative, and if we and you have the energy for it we might build an outdoor fire-heated bathtub, a garden shower, or continue creating our outdoor kitchen. We are very happy for you to bring new ideas into the place! We are beginners at what we do, learning as we go along. We are happy to share with you what we know, and keep learning together.

    INSURANCE
We ask that you take responsibility for your own insurance to cover illness, injuries etc while in Sweden.

We are no experts, still learning as we go along, but we have some knowledge and experience about permaculture, creating a food forrest, natural buildning, vegan gardening. This year the focus is on buildning ,and also to give our food forest some more attention and start growing some veggies.
Apart from that we are happy to share arts and musical experiences, as well as showing you around in the alternative village Uddebo, where we have our everyone day life at the moment.
