Our time with Nathan and Katie at the Quinta was so so beautiful! We immediately felt welcomed into their life’s and trusted with our tasks. We did a variety of fun jobs, which we through outlay enjoyed. Spending the afternoons and evenings playing chess or the mornings outside with a coffee - it always felt really special! Our room was absolutely

It was great having Liona and Marie volunteer at the quinta - their bond with our pets Max and Minnie was so special and sweet to see and they even befriended our neighbour's horse! They were hardworking, helping with a variety of tasks from taking ownership of a giant macrame craft project, to cleaning out the chicken coop to painting. We really

Tamar was an amazing workawayer and will be very much missed. From her enthusiasm, to her willingness to get to grips with new tasks, to her organisation (she loves a list!) she is everything you could ask for in a volunteer. Whether it was painting walls, cleaning out the chicken coop, cooking dinner and helping keep the place tidy, she took on

The time with Nathan and his community was really precious to me. Am grateful that he accepted me short term as volunteer in this beautiful quinta and the rich land that is full of flowing water, wild plants and flowers. Jaciara was a great volunteer - although she was only here for a short time, she really felt like part of our community and was really helpful around the house. From her brilliant creative skills working on our blackboard and macrame projects, to her foraging to her delicious cooking she was a great addition to the house. Best of luck on the rest

Ed and Lea were fantstic volunteers and a delight to have around the house. Nothing seems to phase Ed with a DIY and building knowledge that is seemingly never ending. He turned his hand to a variety of bigger projects and quicker fixes whilst he was here and it hugely helpful to have someone so reliable to call upon when things weren't working.

Her cooking was also top notch, and she scouted out a few local hikes I had yet to discover which I'm looking forward to trying! I would definitely recommend both workawayers to any hosts and I wish them the best of luck with their travels!

Ahhh we're so I begin. staying with Nathan at the Quinta was a great experience, beautiful house and all around great vibes. he is a whole hearted, lovely person, pursuing his dreams and supporting him has been a great pleasure. From collective Dinners and Boardgame Nights to exploring the local cultural scene there was always something to do.

Carl was truly a fantastic guest! He really shared our vision for what we hope this project will become, and was full of great ideas for what we needed to do next along our journey. From his work on the sauna, lawnmowing, his help building a garden path and his beloved pressure washing he was happy to turn his hand to whatever was asked of him.

In addition to his work around the house, he was also great company and I really enjoyed our chats and our jams - a highlight was playing together at the local open mic. He will be sorely missed and we hope to welcome him back to the quinta soon!
What can we say about this volunteering, we have left with our hearts full of wonderful experiences, and not only because of what is lived there, but also because of the people with whom we share. PS: take care and love Max very much, he is the best dog that can exist
THANK YOU!!!! We will be back soon ❤️🫂
I completely lucked out with having Ro and Adri as my first ever workawayers - they were both absolutely fantastic! Eva was a fantastic addition to the household - willing to take on any task that came her way and full of initiative. We will really miss her homemade pita bread, kimchee and desserts! She also had a great bond with my dog Max and my cat Minnie. I would definitely recommend her to any other host, and I hope she comes back to visit us at the quinta in the future!

I had a wonderful time at Nathan's place! First of all he is incredibly kind and flexible. Nathan really divided work adapted to our wishes and strenghts. I felt like I could add useful things, learn by doing and trial and error:)
The place itself is amazing. surrounded by trees, fruit trees, a waterfall in the garden and lovely animals! you can do beautiful hikes in the surroundings and the little town is nice.
this is the perfect Workaway for people who are flexible, can take some initiative and work on their own, are happy with brainstorming toghether and sharing ideas. Nathan is always open for dialogue and very empathetic. I felt at home from the beginning.
During colder/rainy days it can be a bit cold in the house. So cozy slippers are very useful.
