We had the real pleasure of hosting Chiara and Rahel, they were a fantastic addition to our home. They were warm, respectful, and incredibly easy to live with and so much fun— they were always mindful of our space and fully considerate of our house rules. Chiara and Rahel contributed far beyond expectations, helping with cooking, cleaning, caring for our cats, supporting our home renovation projects, and working enthusiastically in the vegetable garden. No task was ever too big or too small; they approached everything with initiative, reliability, and a consistently positive attitude. What truly stood out was their willingness to help wherever needed and the care they put into everything they did. Their presence made a genuine difference in our daily life, and we felt completely comfortable and at ease having them with us. We would welcome them back without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend them to any host looking for trustworthy, capable, and thoughtful helpers.

Staying at Virginia's farm was a lovely experience. I enjoyed getting to know Virginia and her family, dogs, and the other workawayer while I was there. I have a tricky diet and Virginia did everything she could to accommodate me, which I really appreciated! She was always communicative and refreshingly matter-of-fact, and she helped us find interesting things to do in the area during our down time. The work was plenty without being too much, and Virginia was very reasonable about avoiding excessive heat/humidity (I was there in July!). The community itself was very friendly. The homes and farming areas were spread out over what seemed like a vast space which allowed me beautiful daily solo walks. Critters were plentiful! I saw a couple of copperheads and box turtles, a huge fishing spider, and many others. I loved the quiet mornings in the garden, spending time around the cattle, and feeding the chickens. I wish I'd had more time there to do and learn even more! If you're thinking of visiting Virginia's farm, I highly recommend it! My only advice would be to have a good pair of waterproof boots that you don't mind getting covered cow dung. 😄

My time here was a very special and meaningful Workaway experience. Mish and Nige are incredibly warm and generous hosts who truly go above and beyond for their volunteers. I have done several Workaways before, and the level of care and effort they put into making everyone feel welcome really stood out to me. They are deeply passionate about their conservation project and have a strong connection to the land they live on. You can clearly see their respect and appreciation for nature in everything they do. They are always happy to share their knowledge, whether it is about conservation work, local ecology, sustainable living, or practical skills. I learned so much during my stay and felt inspired by their dedication. What makes this place even more special is how much Mish and Nige care about each individual volunteer. They take the time to understand your interests and strengths and try to create tasks and learning opportunities that suit you. The work always felt meaningful and rewarding. There was always plenty of incredibly delicious food and we shared many great meals and conversations together. This wonderful place also attracts amazing people, which makes the experience even richer. I met kind and inspiring individuals and shared unforgettable moments with them. If you are looking for a Workaway where you feel valued, learn a lot, connect with nature, and become part of a caring community, this is a truly special place.

This was my first Workaway experience and I truly loved it. Sara and I clicked straight away from the start and one of the things I appreciate mostly about her is the way she communicates: clearly, kindly, honestly and with respect. At home she helped me keeping the house tidy and supported me with the kids, beconing part of our daily family routine with such ease. She is very open, approachable, and flexible, and integrated into our family in a very natural way. Whenever there were needs or adjustments on either side, we were always able to talk things through and find a solution that worked for both of us. If she was ever unsure about something, she always asked — and she always took responsibility. She is a very intelligent, adaptable, and empathetic person who is genuinely willing to learn and grow. Open-minded and polite, she brought a calm and positive energy into our home. We truly made the most of this experience and built real trust along the way. I’m so happy she chose to share this journey with us, and I’m deeply grateful for all the support she gave me and my family so far. I am sure that we have both learned a lot from this experience and from each other. The bond we were able to create has truly added value to my family, and I sincerely hope we will stay in touch. I wish Sara all the best here in the Netherlands after she will leave our home and I would wholeheartedly recommend hosting her to anyone who is looking for a brilliant and very resourceful person!

Ruth Maria is a strong wise woman! She strikes me as a person not afraid of hard work and had really interesting stories to tell. She was full of enthusiasm and got stuck in whenever she was needed and did a great job! Ruth is a cool lady you would be wise to host her and get to meet her. I hope to see her again some day. :)

Amelia was a pleasure to host. She is a smart and conscientious young lady , full of positive energy and unusually astute for her age so I was delighted with her company and conversation as well. On top of that she is also very creative and diligent and seems to make the best of her time and energy. You can be lucky to host her.

Aurora is a wonderful human. She has a lot of love and goodness in her heart and it lifts up everyone around her. Aurora was a pleasure to host. The boat she stayed on never looked better! Aurora somehow managed to keep the place looking spectacular with wild pirates stampeding around the place. She also did any task asked of her well and with a big smile! She is a wonderful bean. And i look forward to seeing her come back. Ciao Bella x

David is wery calm and reliable guy. Despite a lack of knowledge in some specific tasks he was ready to help and find solutions, so, during five days he repaired couple doors, ski, water tank and some other things. In one day he formed all my wine trees! We also had interesting conversations about different themes. I'm warmly sugest David to other hosts, especially if they want improve English or are interested in fish farming.

We had a wonderful experience hosting Cecile in our home. She was amazing with our daughter and created very fun and creative activities for her. They spent beautiful time together, and we could see how happy our child was every day. She also helped improve our daughter’s English in a very natural and playful way, which we really appreciated. Cecile was kind, patient, and responsible. She adapted easily to our home and became part of our family in a short time. She was also very helpful with household tasks and always asked how she could support us. Her positive energy made a big difference in our daily life. We truly enjoyed hosting her and we are very grateful for the time we shared. We highly recommend her to any future host. She will bring warmth, creativity, and good energy wherever she goes.

If you have the opportunity to stay at Sam and Herons sanctuary you'd be a fool to pass it up! Sam and Heron, along with the 3 excellent meals served per day made me feel right at home. They, along with their friends and family went out of their way to make me comfortable, make sure I was fed and having a good time. After the morning work duties you will have plenty of free time in which I loved exploring Mendocino or just having a lazy afternoon around their property. Although If you are interested in working for some cash Sam also helped me to find work and safe to say it is easy to stay busy In Mendo. I look forward to returning to this sublime place, Thank you my friends!

Geraldine is the coolest host!!! Unfortunately, I could only spend two weeks with her, but my time here was exceptional! She is a lovely woman with many life lessons and experiencies to share. When you are talking to her, time just flies by. She is that incredible!! The dogs, Luna and Guinness are the sweetest (although they will certainly give you a run for your money haha) and walking in the woods with them is super fun! The location is incredible, you have amazing mountain views with lovely hikes near by, and only 30 minutes away from Chamonix. The work is light and fair; household tasks and walking the dogs! If you want to enjoy the french alps and spend some time with a lovely lady, this is the workaway experience for you! A big thank you to Geraldine, Luna and Guinness. I hope to see you all soon! :)

Georgina and Harry are incredibly welcoming hosts. Their children, Ruaridh (5), Lachie (4), and Jeanie (11 months), are adorable. I had so much fun playing with Ruaridh and Lachie and going for walks with Jeanie. I became very attached to them and I miss them. I had interesting conversations with Georgina and Harry, who went out of their way to make me feel so welcome. I learned a lot about Scottish identity and way of life. They were eager to show me the most beautiful places in the region: a cruise on Loch Ness and a visit to Urquhart Castle, the Black Isle, and Nairn. Georgina also took me to a pub in Inverness with live traditional music. The Highlands region is magnificent, and their house is located right next to a beautiful forest. I would like to thank the whole family for their warm welcome. It was a real pleasure to share these three weeks with them. Georgina, Harry, Ruaridh, Lachie, and Jeanie, I hope you'll come to visit me in France. You're a wonderful family!

Oonagh is a lovely person, welcoming and cultured. She knows all the paths in the region, all the places to visit. As I enjoy running, she showed me some routes I could run on. I discovered the Gort River loop, Coole Park, Thoor Ballylee Yeats Tower, Kilmacduagh Abbey Church, and the Kiltartan Gregory Museum. She gave me interesting information about the region and the Irish way of life. Our conversations were excellent and allowed me to learn more about Irish identity. They also helped me improve my English. I had the pleasure of meeting her sister Bernadette, her friend Mary, and Tania, a Ukrainian refugee. They were all very welcoming. Gort is a pretty, well-connected little town. It's easy to take the bus or train to Galway, Limerick, or Ennis and explore the surrounding area. I would like to thank Oonagh for her hospitality. It was my first Workaway and I stayed for three weeks. It was a nice experience that I recommend to everyone.
