Hello traveller.
The local dog shelter is a short tuc tuc (taxi) drive away. Dogs need care, walks, and attention.
I have a lovely property nearby, at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. There are 3 buildings on this property. One of them can comfortably host a Workawayer or a Workaway couple. This building is the original building, and has a tiled floor and is made of adobe. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with me, the owner. The view from this casita is incredible, and awe inspiring. Lovely trees decorate the property and the view of the lake is nature as art form.
My name is Krisztina. I'm a 55 year old woman who ended up in Guatemala, quite by chance, but have made amazing friends and had amazing adventures. And I'm not done. I would love to meet people from distant lands for cultural exchange, to work together, eat together, laugh together and to elevate our community.
For 5 hours of work a day, I would provide meals and/or go shopping with you so you can pick what you want and I would pay for it. Based on current needs, the volunteer(s) would work 4 days at the dog shelter, and one at my property, or 5 days at the dogs shelter.

Hello friends. I have a property at Lake Atitlan Guatemala, with 3 buildings on it. I'm trying to renovate one building and the grounds to become a "sacred space" suitable for small events, ceremonies, yoga or therapies.

Cottage with full size bed, small kitchen with sitting area and full bath OR large tiled room with shared kitchen and bathroom. Depending on what is available.
I will go shopping with the workaway people to get them food they like plus show them where they can buy what they need, and I will pay for breakfast and lunch for all their days and they can get dinner on their own.

There is a LOT to do in the area. From restaurants, cafes, classes, shopping, to healing and personal development seminars, retreats, facilitators, hiking, swimming, enjoying the amazing view of the lake. Travel around the lake on the public boat system to explore the many towns around the lake.
