Elodie y Mathis son una pareja muy amable y comprometida, siempre dispuestos a colaborar en cada tarea que se les asignó. During the three weeks we shared, they showed responsibility, a great attitude, and a positive mindset at all times. It was truly a pleasure to have their support. A huge thank you to Viviana for her three weeks of hard work! She tackled cleaning and reorganizing projects that were a massive help to us as we prepare for our move to another country. We’re glad she enjoyed the unique character of the house, even if the exceptionally bad weather made for a quieter stay than usual. We truly appreciate the progress she made in our home and wish her nothing but the best in her future travels!

I stayed with Emel for about a month and experienced truly wonderful hosting. From the very beginning, she made me feel welcome and comfortable in her home. I had a really great time staying with Emel and her little son, I received a lot of positive energy from both of them, and I genuinely enjoyed the time we spent together. During my stay, I always tried to do my tasks carefully and responsibly, and to complete everything in the best possible way. It was important for me to contribute properly and support the project as much as I could. I hope the renovation project will be completed very soon and successfully. I had the pleasure of hosting Ori from Israel as a Workawayer during January 2026, and I can wholeheartedly say it was an excellent experience. Ori is an intelligent, thoughtful, and genuinely interesting person. Conversations with him were always enriching, and he brought a very positive energy into the house. He is open-minded, curious, and easy to live with, which made his stay particularly enjoyable. When it comes to work, Ori is highly motivated and takes real pride in doing things properly. He was always willing to help, never hesitated to take initiative, and consistently aimed to do his very best. He mainly took care of the dog, showing great responsibility and kindness, and handled a variety of outdoor tasks such as weeding, shredding wood, and washing the car with efficiency and care. He also helped with indoor cleaning, completing everything thoroughly and without needing supervision. Ori is reliable, proactive, respectful, and trustworthy. He approaches tasks with seriousness and dedication, while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude. Any host would be lucky to have him. I would welcome him back anytime and recommend him without hesitation. Anna stayed for about 2 weeks and I was very grateful for her presence, as I was home alone for that period and the puppies are full of energy and need a lot of exercising. Anne is a very pleasant and open person, and I really enjoyed her company. Besides training and taking care of the puppies, we also cooked together and Anna always got the dishes done before going to bed (something I have no energy for). She also encouraged me to do some house chores and gladly joined in. Overall my life was a lot easier thanks to her and she would have been welcome to stay much longer.

Martin was a wonderful volunteer to host. He is very kind, friendly, and always smiling, which created a very positive atmosphere in our center. He taught English with dedication and professionalism, and both students and teachers really enjoyed working with him. He was respectful, cooperative, and maintained excellent relationships with other volunteers and the center’s teachers. I highly recommend Martin as a Workawayer, and we sincerely hope to welcome him again in the future.

Sylvia was a wonderful guest in our home. She was amazing with our little baby girl who formed a very special bond with her. She was also lovely with our two other children and we found her attitude towards bringing up children very inspiring. She was so helpful around the house, knowing immediately what was needed in a busy household without even being asked. We loved practicing our languages and showing her our favourite spots in the highlands. We would love to have her back anytime and hope this won’t be her last visit to Scotland!

The hostel was my first volunteer experience through workaway, at first I had difficulties because it was my first experience outside Europe, but this Sejila and its staff understood it immediately, welcoming me in their hostel and teaching me their culture, their traditions, their way of life from them and from the Bosnian people I learned the true meaning of the word Resilience is to face life with all your strength., they are truly wonderful people

Fabi was friendly and skilled. He was very good with the kids. I am wearing our traditional handloom (new) sarong for our upcoming festival, which was a gift from Fabi. I was surprised to receive such a gift from him when he left the house. I highly recommend Fabi to anyone who wants to host a friendly and skilled volunteer.

Augustine and Andra are a very nice and efficient couple. Discreet, super organized, super trustfull, always happy to help whatever the task. We had a very nice experience with them ! They helped a lot !

We had a wonderful time staying with Valérie and Yves, volunteering on their farm! 2 weeks turned into a month and we already miss the calm, peaceful environment and of course all the animals. We fed the horses, pony’s, donkeys, chicken and rabbit every day, did garden work, helped around the property in general and for a week with the kids as well, when they came for the holiday programm. Valérie knows what she’s doing and we felt very welcome and familiar with them, had sometimes dinner together and learned a lot during our stay. In our free time, we loved going for a swim down by the sea and exploring the nature around, going for little hikes :) Thank you so much for everything and hope to see you again!😊 Anna and Laura

We had a beautiful exchange with Anke and Olaf 💚 From the very beginning, they fully dived into our daily “come together” practice. They didn’t just participate, they embraced it and made it their own, helping us go deeper into our feelings and needs with sincerity and presence. That was a precious gift. Olaf brought an outstanding work ethic. We are currently building a bathroom, and from day one he stepped into the project as if it were his own. With determination and focus, he worked autonomously and consistently, genuinely wanting to see it completed. There is now a part of Olaf in our home 😄 quite literally. The children loved watching him work and were naturally drawn to his calm and steady energy. Beyond his practical skills, Olaf is a gifted musician and true professional. Playing music together was a joy, and we sincerely hope to share that again. He is thoughtful, introspective, open, and carries a quiet depth that you feel in conversations. Anke brings a bright, vibrant, easygoing energy. Even while working remotely for her own companies in the mornings, she always found time to contribute to community life with flexibility and grace. In the garden, she worked with impressive autonomy and knowledge. Without being asked, she cleared and prepared the strawberry beds and continued preparing other beds for spring sowing. Her ability to recognize edible plants and leave them in the soil showed real competence and awareness. Both Anke and Olaf are excellent cooks. We will not forget the vegan and gluten-free lasagna Anke lovingly prepared, or the pumpkins they brought from their own garden. We shared beautiful moments in the women’s circle and in many heartfelt conversations. They are a very balanced couple, carrying a strong and stable energy between them 🍀 and that balance naturally enriched our community. During weekends they explored the region with curiosity and always returned with fresh energy and stories to share. We are deeply grateful for this exchange and for everything they brought into our home, both visible and invisible. It feels more like an “until next time” than a goodbye. We look forward to continuing this connection.🌬️🩵

Lucie a été un vrai plaisir à accueillir chez nous. Elle nous a beaucoup aidés dans les différentes tâches de la maison avec sérieux et bonne volonté. Elle est très facile à vivre, toujours souriante et agréable, ce qui a rendu la vie quotidienne vraiment simple et conviviale. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié sa communication et son côté très sociable : elle s’est parfaitement intégrée et l’ambiance était naturelle et chaleureuse. C’était vraiment une belle rencontre humaine, et nous garderons un très bon souvenir de son passage. Nous recommandons Lucie les yeux fermés et l’accueillerions à nouveau avec grand plaisir.

This is an incredible work away ! Me and Olivia spent two weeks with Matti, Rocio and Rio. They welcomed us as friends and made us feel so comfortable. The work is extremely rewarding, they were so patient with teaching us and were continuously reiterating that we could have breaks whenever we needed, fueled by maté and snacks ❤️. Matti and Rocio are extremely generous we were made incredible food, taught so much about Argentina, and learned so many new hands on building skills. The Accomidation is lovely, it’s a large dome tent that’s about 50m from the house, so you also feel like you have your own space and has all you need for cooking facilities. Thank you both so much , we will be back ❤️

I stayed on the farm for the month of February and can totally recommend a stay! Noni, Johann and Matti are really nice people with a great sense of humor, and they made sure I felt welcome. The house was often full of family and friends, and there was always a positive energy and good vibes. The work is fair. I mostly mucked out the stables in the morning and in the afternoon. You need some muscles, but you get used to it really fast! In my free time, I could ride Vidja (she taught me how to tölt, and we had fantastic rides out). The people at the stable are really nice too, and I also visited Graz for a day. I can only say thank you, especially for Noni’s delicious meals, the talks about life with Matti in the evenings, and the times Johann convinced me to watch TV with him :) I would love to come back, even if just for a few days!

This was my first stop in Canary Islands. I spent with Eddie and Valerie 3,5 months and liked my stay ❤️ Away from civilisation with beautiful mountains view but still with good GSM signal which is not that common in La Palma and most of a day you can use StarLink. 15 minutes walk from El Paso. One of the best thing there is superb mineral water from mountain spring, you can easily tell the difference in taste when compared to tap water. I stopped buying bottled water 😀 Work for most of the time is easy enough even for a women so you doesn't have to be very strong and you can change time and day of your work, Eddie is quite liberal as long as the work is done 😅 If you got pain in your back Valerie can give you massage or take you in to yoga class if you like that kind of activity. Eddie and Valerie are very friendly and welcoming 👍If you don't mind chicken waking you up morning or a friendly gecon 🦎 warming it's back next to your night light then this is the place for you 😎

Parissa is a ball of witty joy who volunteered with us for six weeks. During her time here, she hosted a variety of activities, including hikes, braai nights, game nights, movie nights, market days, and yoga classes. She has been a bright and uplifting presence within the team. Innovative, creative, and unafraid to bring fresh energy to our activities. Parissa is highly social, communicates well, and works effectively within a team. Her ability to connect with both guests and fellow volunteers made her a valued part of our hostel experience. It was a pleasure having Parissa on our team. We wish her well in all her future endeavors.

Luis stayed with me for a few weeks in October 25. He came at very last minute and rescued me when other volunteers had cancelled at the last second. He helped me with Garden and Handyman tasks as well as cleaning and housekeeping. He is a very calm patient person and very helpful and pleasant to work with.

Prashanth has become a good friend for us and we have so many great memories of the weeks spent at his place. Auntie always made us excellent food and Prashanth was always eager and excited for us to try the specialties of his state. In Madurai, we could visit a museum and a temple too. The work was never too physically hard but bear in mind as a volunteer and guest you will be always fully immersed in the countryside life, from morning to evening. At the farm we looked after the cows, dogs and birds. We enjoyed harvesting coconuts, plums, bananas, passion fruit. At night we would always watch some tamil movies and we felt included in a big family (it was especially nice when there were other volunteers too!!). Thank you for the great memories ❤️

Molly stayed with us as a volunteer and did an amazing job painting our doors. Her work was neat, thoughtful, and full of personality. She draw and painted "Bob Marley and Magic Angel on our Bathroom doors. It was mind blowing.. .absolutely stunning. She handled her responsibilities independently and completed everything with care and commitment. Beyond work, she was fun to be around, easygoing, and added great vibes to the place. We had many good laughs, dancing, and nice conversations together. Thank you, Molly, for your hard work and wonderful energy. We will always be happy to host you again 🌿
