Henry was a really efficient hard-worker, and with great sense of humour. Easily included to the family. He would be welcome here again anytime.

I only stayed one week with Vu but it was such an unforgettable time! I love that I got to help out with the classes and expereince for myself how enrichment classes for young children are conducted in Korea. I enjoyed the thoughtful conversations that I had with Vu about life in Korea, motherhood, running her own buisness and so much more. Vu also communicated well on our schedule so that we can plan ahead on any activities that we would like to do. She's also really kind to cook different kinds of food for us, including eating out at very nice Vietnamese stall and fried chicken takeout! Seo Jun is the sweetest boy!! I had a such a great time playing with him! He's also really helpful and smart. He will join the classes sometimes and will help to guide the younger students. He completes his daily exercises quickly on his own! He's also really creative!! I appreciate the many many drawings and presents that he creates daily. The area also has many different restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Buses also come to the area often so it's easy to plan trips to the town to run errands. I hope everyone is doing well and hope that we can meet each other again in the future! Stay happy and healthy always!!

Great country, beautiful nature, relaxed people all around. With the hosts (Rik and Siv, and animals) you feel at home. A lot of fun, nice and honest talks, reasonable work. Great Norway experience - You won't regret visiting this family! 5 stars.

Lucas arrived and straight away fitted in with our life. Always happy and helpful . An excellent cook and we all enjoyed his recipes! Very caring with our cats and respectful of others in the house. Shame his stay was not longer . He is always welcome back. X

I had an amazing three weeks at Claire's place this summer, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone! Claire is kind, energetic, and always happy to chat. She showed me many beautiful places around the region, including the beach, the local market, and several tourist attractions. She also introduced me to some delicious local specialties. She often has neighbors, friends, and family visiting, and I always felt completely free to decide whether I wanted to join them or simply relax and enjoy some quiet time on my own. I really appreciated that. As for the work, I mainly helped with gardening and house cleaning. Unfortunately, I couldn't work as much as I would have liked because we experienced an intense heatwave. Claire insisted that I shouldn't work during the hottest periods (sometimes more than 40ºC), which I really appreciated. She was always flexible with the working hours and regularly checked in to make sure I was comfortable with the tasks I was doing. Claire, merci encore pour cette merveilleuse expérience. Je garderai un très beau souvenir de ces trois semaines et je les repenserai toujours avec beaucoup d'affection!!

Really loved our time on the farm with Karen, Richard and all the animals! We learned a lot about hobby farming and loved the local valley. Karen and Richard were incredibly generous hosts, we ate so well and had very comfortable lodgings. They were very flexible and understanding when our travel plan changed not once but twice! The work was more than fair, we wish we could have done more for them. Honeslty a great experience we would heartily recommend :)

Milena was a fantastic Workawayer, and she quickly became very popular with everyone she met—not only with the people in our house, but also with many locals, including yoga teachers, restaurant owners, and members of our community. Her presentation was fascinating and very well received by our guests. With her unique background spanning three cultures, including Japan, she shared thoughtful insights and perspectives that really connected with the audience. People found her story both engaging and inspiring. Although I manage the guesthouse from overseas, Milena and I communicated regularly online. She was easy to work with, reliable, and always willing to share ideas. Through our many conversations, I believe we developed a genuine friendship. Milena brought warmth, intelligence, and positive energy wherever she went. I highly recommend her to any future host and would be delighted to welcome her back anytime.

Martina was a wonderful Workawayer to host. She has a bubbly, positive personality and brought great energy to our guesthouse every day. Her work was always accurate, reliable, and completed with care. She also gave an excellent presentation that was a big hit with both children and adults. On her first week with us, we visited a local junior high school where she confidently gave a presentation. She engaged the students from start to finish, and they really enjoyed interacting with her. Martina has an excellent eye for detail, which was a huge help with our house management tasks. She noticed things that others might miss and always took pride in doing a thorough job. She was friendly, proactive, and a pleasure to have as part of our community. We highly recommend Martina to any future host and would happily welcome her back anytime!

Nadja was my first experience with Workaway. I stayed for a week and I couldn’t have hoped for anything better! My day was divided between work and personal time. We were working hard in the land, and this allowed us to make considerable progress on Nadja’s project. During these moments I was able to learn more about permaculture, and spanish also, as I had requested (Nadja knows 4+ languages, she’s amazing). My host was very communicative and her instructions were clear. She is attentive to the needs of people who stay at her place: several times during the week, she took me and another workawayer to places we would not have had access to without her van. I visited La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, the Médano beach and even accompanied her to a super nice party where I was able to meet her friends! I think that during my stay, I have never eaten as well as at Nadja’s. She cooks very well and we were able to adapt to my needs (vegetarian diet) To sum up my stay, I would say that Nadja is an incredible and very resilient person. You have to love going above and beyond to be able to stay here, but you will never be called upon to do anything that is beyond your control or in which you do not feel comfortable. Finally, I think I gained more muscles and a friend after this stay :)

Yonathan was great to host. Thoughtful and respectful and really hardworking. We had great conversations about everything from the World Cup to global politics and history. We worked mostly on small construction, which he had no previous experience of, and quickly picked up new skills and used them. Always happy to help with the sheep and the watering and domestic chores too he was very easy to host. We definitely recommend Yonathan!

Annas positive attitude was always a joy. She helped in the garden, with the animals (donkey, mule, dogs, cats, and chickens), and lovingly cared for small children. She further gained a good experience with bamboo in the construction of tiny houses and the renovation of outdoor shower and kitchen. Anna was also a good conversationalist, both on tours and around the campfire. Always good energy. All the best on your way, and always welcome back!

We enjoyed having Aggie staying with us. She is a very sweet, ambitious and hardworking person. We had many interesting chats and are greatful for helping our kids to improve there english by encourage them to speak. We wish Aggie all the best on her trip around the world and she is always welcome back to our family.

I had a great time staying with Luca. He is a kind, thoughtful, and easygoing person with a great sense of humor, which made every day enjoyable from the very beginning. We had many interesting conversations, and he took the time to show me the surrounding area and introduce me to local life. He also shared delicious local food with me, and I was invited to have lunch with his parents, which was a nice experience. The work in the caves was interesting and varied. Luca was always open to new ideas and approaches, and I really appreciated that he showed genuine gratitude, even for the small things. It created a relaxed and positive atmosphere where I felt that my help was truly valued. Thank you, Luca, for your hospitality and generosity. I can wholeheartedly recommend this Workaway to anyone looking for a meaningful cultural exchange with a warm, welcoming, and open-minded host.

As a first time volunteer - and a girl from a capital city - this place was something completely new that shaped me and the views I had not just about myself, but many aspects of life. It's in a beautiful area and the locals are lovely, everyone is welcoming and always ready to help. It was the first time I lived in a community with so many different people, and I've made lifelong friendships. It became quite family like, our stay together. Staying here was quite refreshing, doing practical work and letting creativity flow. I got really inspired to learn more about gardening and how one could use bamboo to build something. Also, it was really humbling to see, what others could do and learn from it. Thanks to Christian we could visit a lot of treasures of Sicily and had fun and memorable interactions with the locals. This place has a lot to offer: depending how much you are ready to give into it, you will go home with a lot of experiences, memories and discoveries about yourself and the world.

Having Aggie here was a great experience! She helped me clear an overgrown garden patch and set new plants and we did some bee-keeping and honey-extraction together! I experienced her as very considerate, smart, motivated and active with a great positive attitude. She brought in her own helpful ideas, was a fast learner and went straight to the task. Additionally, she is really great and uncomplicated to be around with. I learned a lot about Britain and the English language, as well. We also had fun experimenting with herbal teas and making cheese from raw milk. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Inga stayed here for one month, and it was so nice. Me, Inga and the other three workawayers did a lot of fun things together. We celebrated midsummer, made sushi (one of the other wporkawayers, Rin, is from Japan), we went to different places for swimming and much more... And of course we worked together also - my greenhouse got a new life and my garden looks amazing, and so does my outdoor furniture. And more positive words can be said about Inga. I will miss Ingas cooking. So many good meals we had together.

Very useful! In addition to the daily tasks our place provides, Harry also took over the responsibility for one of our gardens for several weeks and managed very well. We had many moments in which the agreed working format had to be expanded, and Harry never so much as complained. Good humor, sharp mind.

Natalie cut her WA teeth with us and jumped right in with both feet after returning from a semester in Korea. We did LOTS of gardening (& weeding ;) and she was a real sport, helping endlessly there, as with all projects. Though a bit demure initially, Natalie opened up as she became more comfortable with life in the country after her stint in a big city. With clear instructions and guidance, she worked steadfastly at the task at hand and was a hard worker with a good attitude. We hope to see Natalie again for a non-working visit, as she lives close enough. She's just about to blossom, and is ready to step out!

Staying with Jonnita and Kev was a lovely experience. Their two children are cheerful and easy to get along with, and I never had any issues interacting with them. Rexy the dog and Scribbles the cat were also wonderful company!! I stayed with the family for about six weeks and had a great experience the whole time. My main tasks were helping with household chores and walking Rex, which was very fair. In return, I had my own bedroom and bathroom, and I could help myself to as much food as I liked. The working hours were reasonable, and I always felt the expectations were clear and fair. Jonnita even cooked several vegan meals for me, which I really appreciated!! The whole family is kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. We had some great conversations, and they really made me feel at home during my stay. They always thanked me for my work, which made me feel very appreciated. Thank you again for everything! I would definitely recommend staying with Jonnita and Kev
