Hello World! We - that is: one French, two Germans, two Belgians, one Italien and one dog - have started to reconstruct one of the many abandoned villages in Spain. That means we clean out ruins, rebuild houses, repair terraces, take care of the forest, ... Since we strive for self-sufficiency we also install diverse gardens and orchards. Our little village is located in the middle of the Pyrenees and consists of ten houses and an ancient church.

We are learning most of the skills we need along the way and you are very welcome to join us on that path. You can learn many new skills here, ranging from pottery to permaculture. Our life here is very close to nature and that in itself is a special experience.

This year, we are looking for people to help us with our reforestation project. There are trees to be planted, wood walls to be built, and canals to be dug. In addition, helping with the maintenance of our vegetable gardens is always very welcome.

Our project is very diverse, and we try to make the best use of the talents our visitors bring with them. If you feel like joining us for a while, we will simply sit down together, have a talk, and see which tasks might suit you best.

In our Common House, we have a guest room. It is a simple room, but it has its own access, and we are planning to add more openings and a terrace in the future.

The second available house is a small cabin in the center of the village. It is rather cozy and will surely serve you well. We call it the “Hereria,” because it used to be the blacksmith’s house a long time ago.

The third house is the Garden House, and as the name suggests, it is surrounded by a beautiful garden on top of the hill. This house belongs to one of our group members, but he plans to spend only half of his time here. During his absences, we can use it for visitors and volunteers.

Additionally, we provide food for you but we'd like you to contribute to the houshold. Once a week, one of us goes to the local market and brings home groceries. We don't meet for breakfast but depending on the season, we take lunch and dinner together. Especially in summer, when the village is filled with people, we organize our houshold collectivly: lunch and dinner are cooked in the common kitchen and everybody puts down their name when they want cook for the group and/or when they want to clean kitchen.
