Help
Our staff usually work as volunteers, in exchange for accommodation (no meal is included), and commit to staying for 3 months or more. If you have experience in hospitality, we may be able to offer a small salary in addition to accommodation. In all cases, there will be an initial trial period. You will also be able to make some extra income by selling breakfast, drinks, meals, tours, etc.
There are 3 shifts per day - morning, afternoon, evening. You will cover one of those shifts 5 days a week. There is flexibility on who takes what shifts, and you can make arrangements with the other staff if you need to. During your shift you will take care of: reception, ensuring that the guests observe the house rules, make sure that the place is always clean and tidy, occasional tasks.

What else ...
Our hostel is only 3 blocks from Plaza Matriz, the heart of Montevideo, with its Cathedral and Cabildo (its colonial Government House). Most sights are on your doorstep!
This part of Montevideo, known as Ciudad Vieja (the Old Town) is home to nearly all its historic buildings, museums and sights. It also offers a wealth of bars, restaurants, night clubs, art galleries, shops and more - and, of course, Uruguay's most important theatre, Teatro Solís. So most daytime and nighttime activities will be just a short stroll away! -
