Description
Over 55 years ago, grandpa and grandma started the first building blocks here with a farm where people could camp. Nowadays a holiday resort where guests from all over the world visit to explore the beautiful surroundings of this western part of The Netherlands. Located near Leiden, Den Haag, Amsterdam and the beach it is a great starting point to discover this country.
About the company:
Today, the company is run by the third generation: daughter Penny and son Pim. Both grew up within the family business and trained in the hospitality and tourism sector: Penny at the University of Applied Sciences for Tourism and Pim at the Hotel Management School. They have been active in the company for decades. Since 2018, various annual renovations have been implemented to ensure the park is future-proof. Penny and Pim have a clear vision for the park's further development, with personal hospitality, quality, and innovation as core values. Koningshof is proud to call itself a leading family business, distinguished by its welcoming approach and wide range of facilities.

Our team mostly consists of Dutch people eager to meet people from other countries. But of course there are also people working here from different countries within Europe.

Help
We are looking for one couple wanting to stay the entire season from April till October. We expect that you have experience in the hospitality work field (both cooking and table service), especially in a restaurant with more than 50 seats. It would be a big plus if you have done a WorkAway/worked in the Netherlands before.
For 2026 we are looking for the following:
-Cooking meals for both our restaurant and snackcafé
>> we have a professional kitchen with high quality standards. You need experience in this kind of work field, be a fast learner and can manage busy moments. In our restaurant we look for a head of chef for main courses who also is eager to make the starters and desserts. In our snackcafé we look for somebody to make the fries, snacks, homemade pizza's, grilled burgers etc. so experience in a "frying kitchen" is helpful. It would be a mix to work at these both sides during the week.
-Waiting tables in our restaurant/ Making drinks at the bar
>> serving guests from different nationalities, preparing drinks/coffees, cleaning tables and all other tasks that come to our food&beverage department. To learn a basic skill of the Dutch language is mandatory for this.
You need a BSN-number and European bank account to get a paid job in the Netherlands. This is something the government requires. There might be a long waiting list to apply for this so make sure you have this appointment before arrival in the Netherlands.
The hourly wage we offer in 2026 is € 14,71 bruto (so not nett).

Accommodation
No dogs and cats allowed. We provide a basic accommodation free of charge. This has one bedroom with a double bed and an extra space with a couch. There is a tiny kitchenette where you can cook your own meals in the accommodation, with an eating table and stools. The shower and toilet is located in a communal sanitary building.
What else ...
You'll be staying just a 15-minute drive from the beach! Explore the various beaches in our area to get some fresh air. With Leiden around the corner and wonderful cities like The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam nearby, you can take a nice city trip from our holiday park. The area for true flower lovers in spring time. Walk or bike through The Bulb Region or visit the famous Keukenhof. With a location near the North Sea beach and beautiful dunes, it is a wonderful place for walking and biking enthusiasts. From zoos and museums to playgrounds and amusement parks. There is plenty to do in the area!
