We are Canadians that moved to Panama to follow our dream of opening an eco-friendly, luxury, beachfront hotel. We have two kids (2 year, and 4 years old). Our land is situated on 200 meters of beachfront with 6 acres of property, including a stunning 1 acre fresh water pond. The hotel will consist of several private beachfront and garden casitas, a treehouse, an Inn, as well as a pool/bar/restaurant, yoga deck, and star gazing area.
We are located just outside the funky/rustic town of Santa Catalina, Panama known for it's world class surfing and diving. Our volunteers will get plenty of free time to explore the beauty of this town and country.

You will learn about the biodiversity and culture of Panama while learning and honing many different skills around building, operating and marketing a hotel on a large jungle/beach property. Our goal is for our workawayers to work closely with our local staff and friends to exchange learning experiences and skill sets to benefit individuals on both sides.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
We are now open and looking for help with gardening/landscaping, maintenance, photography/marketing, running errands in town, yoga, massage therapists, servers etc. Basically all aspects of running a small hotel in a small jungle/beach town. You will be using these skills to help the project and teach our local staff. You will also be working closely with our local friends, staff and service providers giving you ample opportunity to learn about the local culture and town.
