    Description

    Hello workawayers,
Here in the Blue mountains we have rock climbing, canyoning in summer, bike riding, lots of amazing hiking and lots of bird and animal watching right here on our doorstep. I love to do any of these adventurous activities on my days off. For me eating healthily and trying to grow a little veggie garden are part of living simply in this area. I also like to live by the motto of treating others as I would want to be treated myself.
I am a carpenter and joiner and have lots of building experience with a variety of building techniques.
Previously I have spent many years travelling to adventurous places and always enjoy hearing peoples stories of experiences on the road.

The house will be built in the lovely Blue Mountains. It Is a beautiful place full of amazing places to explore. I am happy to take workers on an after work climb if they have climbed before, and show them around the area on days off.
In exchange for help with building the house I am offering a place to stay in the blue mountains which is in a lovely bush setting. I can introduce the workers to the benefits of building a house that won't require much heating or cooling due to its solar passive design.

  • Help

    Help

It has finally been approved by council, I am very excited.......
I am looking for help with building the house. I am about to start the wall framing and get ready to build a rammed earth wall as well.
The help will be quite physical at times so people who are fit and self motivated would be ideal.

I am looking for any skilled and non skilled help who would like to learn how to build a house that will be extra insulated, incorporate solar passive techniques, and built in a lovely location.

When there are no building tasks to be done, help around the property would be much appreciated, they will include moving materials, gathering and moving fire wood, some gardening and just general help around the property...

Workawayers will be staying with a friend of mine as I am using the caravan at the moment. I will supply food for you at the house , and we will be having lunch together at the property each day. So this means you will need to make your own evening meals with the food provided, and I am happy to supply what food you prefer as well. Occasionally we can do evening meals at the property, and we can plan for that on a day to day basis.
All food will be supplied and helpers are encouraged to take charge of their meals. It will be predominately vegetarian as that is predominantly what I eat. But I am totally flexible with the shopping and more than happy to buy what ever the helpers would prefer.
I am totally happy to discuss this further so that we can come to mutual agreement about it all as well 😊
