Description
We are a husband and wife who are long time independent musicians and have a 10 year old boy. We live on an acre in an 1875 home in North East Texas. We are slowly learning and working toward urban permaculture style organic vegetable gardening, planting flowers and native plants to the area and cultivating fruit trees.
We all enjoy cooking, nature, walks in the city, nature trails, City Park, local events, and showing guests the unique natural beauty of this area. We have expertise in creative projects, arts and crafts, small building projects, and we have a family band for many years and perform locally.
We love cultural exchange, can teach and share Music, English, Art, Cooking, local culture, and are open to learning new languages and learning about different gardening and home project skills.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We have 30 Years of music And music industry skills, drum lessons, vinyl DJ skills. I have a Bachelor's degree in music, performance and production. This area is a unique tucked in eco system protected by a massive amount of lush green trees and natural foliage, making it some of the sweetest southern U.S. oxygen filled air in Texas with no major pollutant industries in the city (that I'm aware of). There are nearby fishing and lakes accessible within 10-30 minutes, Caddo Lake being the main attraction, but Lake O The Pines and Wright Patman Lake nearby as well. Walking distance to local restaurants. Linden has a large City Park in close walking distance with workout stations, frisbee golf course, beautiful walking path and kids play area. There is a grocery store in walking distance, nature hiking trail nearby, Public Library in close walking distance also. We have knowledge of the music history from this area and how it correlates or has spread to other areas of U.S. culture and the world. I specialize and have DJ'd Jamaican and Soul music for 21 years so I can be informative on the multiple genres of that and where it connects to our local music history of NE Texas. We are both good cooks, with much experience. Our yard is a sanctuary and habitat for wild life including many birds, frogs/toads, cats, a fish pond, foxes and armadillos, etc..

Bigger cities -Texarkana (where Texas and Arkansas meet) is 45 minutes away, Longview (1hr), and Shreveport (1hr 15min), and Tyler (about 1.5 hours away) for nearby bigger city options. Lafayette, Louisiana (Cajun culture), and Clarksdale, MI (Blues Culture epicenter) within 2.5hrs. Closest Large Metro cities nearby - Dallas, Texas (3hrs).
